Best card shop in Minnesota in my opinion. Staff are friendly and helpful, and they always seem to have what we are looking for. 10/10 would recommend checking out Dreamers Vault if you are a fan of Pokemon or Magic cards.

One of the workers was playing in the Digimon tournament and was very kind to me. He sat me down and taught me all the rules and even lent me one of his decks to participate in the tournament. He made me feel extremely comfortable the whole time I was there. Ive made a bunch of new friends that I now meet up with each week to play digimon and mtg. I keep going because everyone that comes here is super chill and willing to give advice on the current meta and future sets. The only place you can still find structure decks for market value of $9.99. Other places sell them for $12.99 and more.

Great experience! Inviting atmosphere and Joe was really helpful and knowledgeable about a lot of the games, and was able to recommend lots of spectacular games without making me fell pressured to buy something. Definitely one of the better game shops!

Great selection of board games and tabletop RPGs. Big area for casual and tournament play for trading card games. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely my go-to spot for Friday Night Magic.

A lot better options in the area to play DIgimon with a much more welcoming environment. Also didnt have any booster packs as prize support, just gave tournament pack 2 which has a single card with at best a value of $3.

This is a great place to get exposed to new boards games. They have about a hundred board games that you can play in house available for anyone to come in and try. The staff was very friendly and was able to suggest a game for my whole family to play(Mysterium), which we thoroughly enjoyed.They have a nice selection of board games, dice, card sleeves, mini fig paints, and other miscellaneous items. Not the biggest selection ever but hey, support local shops rather than name brand stores. Ill come back again.

Both my boys love here! My youngest son enjoys playing Pokemon. My older son enjoys role playing games and advanced board games. They have a nice selection of games that are priced competitively.

Great place to shop cards, every employee knows their stuff and is very kind and good at not just doing their job but engaging in with their customers. This is the place to buy tcg cards especially magic the gathering. The employees here were able to answer all my questions and were extremely helpful. They take extra precautions to make sure a good experience, they require masks, hand sanitation and wash their counters regularly to keep everyone safe. 10/10 would go again

Immense variety to browse. From nostalgic treasures to everything you could imagine putting on your tabletop.We spent so long browsing that we didnt realize we were past closing hours. Cashier was awesome, helpful, content to let us meander, but there for any questions we had. Was a great stop. Probably the best tabletop store weve found in the state so far.

Super greedy. They’re asking over 2x the retail value for Pokémon, absolutely disgusting. In a time when it’s so hard to find Pokémon, you’d think you could at least count on local game stores to old their integrity and do what’s right. Apparently not.

Called before I went because I asked if they had the new cards that came out today, I had personally been requesting/asking about when they would have them several if not more times over the past 2-3months Im not a reseller just a big fan who has loved the Digimon community and collectables for years. I am not upset they were sold out I was upset because I called ahead and they said they had 3 boxes left and 12 packs per customer and I was literally 14min away and at work I took my break because he said he couldnt set any aside but the fact that they said there was 3 boxes left makes me question a lot at least voice that they might be sold out by the time I get there or atleast allow 1 just one pack to be set aside as I have been requesting/inquiring about them for awhile now. Super disappointed.

Very helpful staff - good inventory on hand, and theyre really reliable about being able to place and receive preorder inventory for new releases. Joe has always taken excellent care of our group!

I do weekly drafts here every Wednesday playing Magic. The staff is super friendly and the place has a fun vibe all the time. Great selection of single cards priced reasonably. Huge play area with multiple rooms. Even private rooms if you want some privacy. I really enjoy playing here and recommend it for anyone looking for a nice group of people to game with.

Very rude employees. I did not get a hello or can I help you or anything. They also had more people in the store than their posted sign on the front door is said to allow them to have at one time; due to the COVID regulations. I have no clue why Dreamers bought this location. The few times I have gone to thjs location, the employees have NOT represented the quality of Dreamers Vault which I have loved. I also am not sure what their store policy is on employees wearing masks or not, but none of them were wearing any and they were definitely a lot closer than 6 feet to the people whom they were talking with/helping, or whatever they were doing. I was not impressed.

Great staff and super helpful when you have no idea what to look for. They have weekly game nights that are free to go to in case you want to know what the environment is like. I love how you can use their space for free to play with a group of friends! Their goal is an inviting atmosphere to hang out and they nail it! The staff and several other gamers here were very friendly and welcoming. Great selection of card games, board games, minis, everything. I wish I lived near there, because they have a humongous playing area with tables for all sorts of game types.

Really cool place that I was unaware of until recently. Was bummed out that the nearest gamesworkshop was in eden prairie, but one day I decided to try this place and to my surprise they had a decent stock of 40k and Warhammer fantasy items. Staff was nice and knowledgeable. Will be new stop for 40k and other hobby related things. They also have a a big selection of table top games as well.

This place is great! I come here to play magic the gathering and dungeons and dragons with my friends here and we always have a good time. Village games has a bunch of tables you can use and some that are in separate little mini rooms that have a table, a bunch of chairs, and wall outlets. Using these rooms is free too! When it comes to what they have to sell, they have tons of cool board games and card games and they have a nice selection of magic the gathering cards that you can browse on a computer (its a pretty cool system they have that makes it easy to find great cards.) They also have a bunch of Warhammer 40k stuff and D&D books. I love this store!!

Very friendly staff, nice clean environment & supply of items. Much better than Outpost 2000 Comics in Coon Rapids. Came specifically for Tarot Sleeves (for booster packs) and they actually had them in stock and a lot of other stock. A nice play area for card battling and also drinks for sale. Would come back for my card needs!

Good spot for games if you are in to the fantasy role playing types, warhammer, magic, dungeons and dragons. There are other games inside but not a large selection. I thought it would be like a games by James but I was way off. Very friendly staff. Probably wont be back unless I have a specific need.

This store usually doesnt have the greatest stock of games and prices are retail. Ive scored a few deals on the clearance table. Im glad there is a game store in the area, but there are better option in the area if youre willing to travel.

They offer plenty of tables and even private rooms to meet and play casually or competitively.No surprise that outside food and beverage is not allowed, but they have their own options for reasonable prices.The staff have always been friendly to me too!

Still adjusting since Dreamers Vault bought. Frequently out of perfect fit card sleeves and page protector sheets. Takes 1-2 weeks to restock inventory. Used to give discounts for being ot of product but not any more. I used to go 1-2 times a week before Dreamers Vault bought this store. Now I only go once a month.

Great place to buy games for yourself or others. Staff loves talking games, whether they are teaching you or you are teaching them. Great weekend hang out. If Patrick is there, you are in wonderful hands!

My fiancee and I were looking for Talisman, but they didnt have it. However, we did find Ascension and Arkham Horror. The cashier gave us 10% off because we had come in during the middle of the April 18 Blizzard. Very nice setup and clean. There was also a back section where tournaments and game playing could be held.

All staff I have encountered are friendly and helpful. They are willing to show you any game they have in their library for you to try before you buy. Cost is about 10% more than on Amazon, but Amazon can not give you the on-hand staff, try before buy, a free place to play your own games, contests, and a rewards program. Plus youre helping a small business.

Used to be a great store for board games when it was known as Village Games. The new owners have drastically reduced selection and Saturday night board game night now abruptly ends at 10pm. They obviously dont care about people that play board games.

The staff here was down right rude. 2 gals working couldnt care less that we asked for assistance. Cant look through your magic cards, fine, but we wanted to see some stuff in the case, but you were too busy ignoring us. You werent busy, no one else in the store just the 2 gals working and usBought $400 in magic cards, but it wasnt at your store. A little customer service goes a long way, a lot of crabby service sends me out of there with my wallet.Think of the future sales you wont get from me either.Probably because we arent part of your little gaming clique there i suppose.

NO RETURNS!!! Even on unopened boardgames.I took a gamble shopping here and was extremely disappointed. The staff was nice and let me look at the contents of a game before purchase. However, I convinced myself to purchase an expensive game despite its price of 30% more than amazon. Support my local game shop went through my mind.I found out it wouldnt be a good gift for my friend and went to return an unopened game; they coldly looked at me and said no returns. I noticed an all sales final sign so I didnt make a fuss. I simply left the game on their counter and walked out.How this business expects to survive with high prices and poor customer policies is beyond me. Maybe their warhammer 40k tournaments will bring enough revenue to stay open.I wont recommend this shop to anyone.

Edit: This business no longer exists as Village games, they were bought out by Dreamers, another game store. This is still in the same location and you will find exactly the same merch/games/events as Village had it’s just under new ownership. We really liked the previous owner and his knowledge was unmatched but we still come to dreamers to support local small business.

Best way to search for cards in the state. Their internal catalog of cards that you can reach from your own device makes buying cards easy as pie.

Everything at msrp, no reason to shop here. Clearance table extremely limited. Nice play area. Ownership will need to figure out how to work its suppliers for better deals to survive with competition like gaming goat and level up coming in at 30% off MSRP on all products. Likely will not return unless in the area for business and its small biz Saturday/ clearance going on.

Revising my review. Have to move to 4 stars. While the staff are friendly, amazing, and awesome - probably the most important element of a game store - as of late there seem to be some pretty significant issues with restocking (especially in RPGs and Games Workshop lines.) New releases are generally there, but others are lacking. Recently walked in looking to spend hundreds... walked out with a bottle of glue :( Also DESPERATELY in need of a loyalty program or membership of some sort.

A nice store that not only has board games to buy, but it has a selection of 150 board games to play! You just have to ask. The people are friendly but may get caught up in a conversation so dont be afraid to make yourself known.
