Stopped in there today with a lens problem they were able to very quickly solve. I was very appreciative that they looked at it on the spot instead of having to make a return trip after work. Good friendly customer service. Definitely will take any future services back to these folks!

This review is long overdue, but I just want to praise the staff at CRIS for going above and beyond to get my camera fixed in time for an upcoming event I had scheduled. I had two Nikon cameras that both had shutter issues at the same time. I had contacted Nikon directly and their turnaround for warranty repair was 6-8 weeks, and it looked like the parts werent going to arrive in time, and dealing with Nikon was so frustrating. The CRIS staff went out of their way to get the parts and fixed everything for me on both cameras in time for my event. Whenever Ive had camera issues theyve always been great, I trust them and will always take my cameras there for service.

I had an older Nikon mount Sigma lens(incompatible with the USB dock) that I wasnt sure would autofocus when paired with the newer Z cameras and FTZ adapter (my Z camera was on pre-order and I wanted to shoot with the Sigma immediately). I did some research and learned that depending on when my particular lens was manufactured it may or may not have the necessary firmware. Sigma recognizes C.R.I.S. as an authorized service center that could complete a firmware update, so I gave them a call and left a voicemail to get an estimate. (Note: I was willing to send the lens in to verify the most recent firmware just so that I knew Id have AF capability when my Z camera did arrive.) A gentleman reached out to me the same day and was able to walk me through a couple potential scenarios in order to identify if I even needed the update. During this short ~3 minute call, we were able to verify that my lens had the most up to date firmware and I didnt need to send it in. This was awesome customer support! I havent used them before but I wont hesitate to go to them in the future based on this experience.

Nikon notified me that my Nikon D300 couldn’t be fixed, but they said I could buy another one just like it for $250. I said no thanks. Instead, I sent the camera to CRIS Camera Repair. Mike said my camera was fine but needed resetting to factory defaults, and he wouldn’t charge me for the evaluation even though I pressed him for a bill. My camera works fine now. Bottom line: I will always use CRIS for camera service.

I work in Buckeye. I dropped my 7D off Wednesday at noon for a cleaning. Friday morning UPS drops it in my office out here in the West Valley. Unbelievable service. I did a quick check and everything looks perfect. Cant wait to shoot with it this weekend. Kudos to Angela whose online customer service convinced me to use C.R.I.S. in the first place. When I emailed the other guys they seemed more concerned with telling me what they wouldnt do for me. Angela made it simple and detailed everything C.R.I.S. would do to improve my camera.

Outstanding customer service and a place I can recommend to all you folks who have ever had issues with camera repair. Ryan the sales associate who checked me in and out when picking up my lens was not only super knowledgeable about my lens, but was really friendly too. The repair took less than a week and the price was much less than what I was expecting to pay. I will definitely being doing more business with these guys in the future... though I hope later not sooner as I prefer to keep my cameras out of the repair shop as much as possible.

Chose to send direct to CRIS instead of through Nikons repair centers (fully outsourced now) and am so happy with my decision. Decent turnover time and more importantly they did a great job with my baby (d810)... and the repair prices were extremely reasonable. thanks CRIS!

I took my Canon Rebel to this shop to get the lens repaired after I dropped it. The gal who helped us was very friendly and greeted us promptly. She listened to my woes, fiddled with the lens for a couple of minutes, handed it back to me and said it was all fixed. She took a few pictures, I took a lot of pictures and everything was fine. The best part was there was no charge. I have definitely found our camera repair shop and will return there again.

I recently had some work done on my K-7 and I am very pleased with the quality of the repair and the quick turn-around. My camera was evaluated on the first day that they received it. I approved the repair that same day and 10 days later I received it back from UPS. Also, the customer service is quick to respond and you can track the status of the repair on their website. Excellent!

I took my Nikon D 80 in for a repair. They did a thorough inspection and found a motor that was malfunctioning. The part was outr5 of stock at Nikon and was on back order. The motor would not be available until after the date I wads to leave for Italy. Mike took the time to call other repair shops in the Southwest, he located a motor in New Mexico and arranged to get it. I have my camera back and it works perfectly. My thanks to Mike for going the extra MILE to get me the camera back to me in time for our bucket list vacation.Mike you are the best, and have a customer for life.

Horrible service. Once my tripod was received it took them 10 BUSINESS days to give me an email saying my tripod will be evaluated within the next week. It ended up taking two months by the time I got my Manfrotto back.

My camera fell out of my camera bag and hit the concrete. Lens mount broke off and ribbon cable sheared. Lens was in 3 pieces, but glass was still good. Canon EF 24-105mm f4 L IS USM. Took it in for estimate: $390, which was worth the repair, so we did it. It took a week to get parts in, but after that, it was fixed in 1 day. I got the lens back better than it was before it broke. It was all cleaned, the zoom worked better (stopped slipping), and the ring containing the switches & distance window were new. The lens needed a tune up anyway, so it was good timing. They were courteous, did what needed to be done, and got it back as fast as they could. Sorry about other people that had bad experiences, but I gotta wonder... because these guys are good.

On vacation when my Nikon 28-70 AF-S lens quit working. Having been asked to be the photographer at a friends wedding in a couple weeks I was panicked. I googled factory authorized repair facilities and to my surprise found CRIS a couple miles from my hotel. I thought I would drive by to see what might be possible to get my lens fixed quickly. They were wonderful. I explained my situation and they went out of their way to evaluate the problem with my lens the same day I brought it in. Parts for the repair were available and I was able to pick it up, repaired, the very next morning. I will be sending all of my repairs to them in the future under less stressed circumstances. Thank you CRIS for all your help.

Beware of their estimate service. The free estimate included lodging a large particle under the focusing screen when I decided not to proceed with the repair work.Perhaps they were planning to clean things up during the repair process, but it is disappointing they did not take better care of my equipment as part of their estimate process. They did not reply to my inquiry about this problem, so this might even be SOP for them.

Had a Ricoh GRII with cracked LCD. Almost considered it a lost cause. Now Im delighted that I sent it to C.R.I.S. They handled the repair with complete integrity and were great at communicating status etc. The repair was much more economical than upgrading to a new camera and Im happy to have my GRII back in the arsenal.

We dropped our little Canon Ixus about a month ago, and I finally brought it to C.R.I.S. on December 3rd with little hope that it could be repaired before we left for our trip on the 18th. I was thrilled to get a call on December 14th telling me that the repair was finished. Its back in perfect working order, which is the best thing, but I was also very pleased with the professionalism of each person I dealt with. Camera repair is never cheap, but this way we didnt have to get a new one and spend even more.

BEWARE!!! Unethical Repair Company. CRIS is the official repair company for Gitzo/Manfrotto tripods in the US. I sent a two year old carbon fiber Gitzo tripod in to repair a broken leg connection. CRIS quoted me $765 to replace the entire upper section of the tripod, three legs and the main casting. The tripod originally cost $875. I asked for the price to just replace the broken leg, and they made up an excuse saying that they would not be able to glue a new carbon fiber leg in the broken leg connection. What??? That made no sense, so looked up the exact part number that they would need to replace. The part included the carbon fiber leg with the leg connection already attach. I emailed the information to the repair guy. They then came back and said a bolt in leg was stuck and I would still need to pay $760 to repair the entire upper section. Yes thats right....one small stainless steel bolt is stuck so I need to replace everything??? Feeling like these guys are trying to rip me off, I asked them how much to send it back. I sent a check in and two weeks later got my tripod back. Sprayed some WD40 on the bolt they said was stuck and it came out.
