Unfriendly staff that made being a customer feel like a burden. The uhaul I received smelled very strongly like cat urine. Even with windows down it was strong enough to make you sick. When I mentioned this at drop off, I was told yeah sometimes the strays get in. Will not be using this uhaul again which is sad because I have used this one for 10 years and never had problems.

Rented a 5x8 covered trialed for Christmas break — easy pickup process, easy return process. This location is open on Sunday’s which is awesome. Great experience in this instance.

Terrible Customer Service. There was no hello or any proper greeting. I asked do you need my reservation number? Someone needed to start the conversation as the employee Manny stared at me. I received the truck and was heading to Peoria with a tight time frame to get me there and back in time for work. 5 minutes into the drive and the AC goes out! I flip all the buttons and nothing! Im already on the freeway and dont have time to turnaround due to my time constraint. It is 105 degrees outside and an excessive heat warning with no AC. I drove back to Chandler to drop the truck off and informed the General Manager how sick I felt from being in the truck with no AC. His response was did you finish your move?. Not once did he apologize or offer anything. I informed him I didnt have a choice and I thought AC would be guaranteed or they should have said something. If this was an elderly person or someone with a medical condition- that could be a liability if something happened. He said I can take a couple bucks off. WOW! What should have happened is an apology of I am so sorry that happened, let us make it right! I informed him I would reach out to Corporate and he said they arent going to do anything but send you back to me. So Ill give you $30 off. In my opinion, still not enough to justify the amount I just spent for the truck on a 2 hour drive feeling sick to my stomach. Poor customer service! How does someone get a position of General Manager with no personality, hospitality or customer service? I am highly disappointed in my experience at this location as the Gilbert location has never been this bad.

Terrible customer service... Had a reservations and was told would have the truck by Monday... Get there on Monday and no truck... Was told we could pick up a smaller truck 100 miles away....

I came in for a few items... the staff member definitely didn’t seem to like his job. The boxes purchased were very flimsy for the prices (compared elsewhere).

This my first and last time dealing with this poor company! Never again!! I did make reservation online a month ago for 26 trailer, packed up and was ready to move, but got a call a day before with very rude women on the phone saying that they dont have available trailers in my area and asked me to pick it up from different town which is 4 hours away from me. This is ridiculous, I expected my order to be ready, but it was a big lie! SCAMS! DONT ORDER FROM U-HAUL! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE!

We have rented a trailer several times from this location. 3 times in the last 2 weeks. The service has gotten worse each time. I had a reservation, which I always do. A girl was checking me in and tried to tell me the price was higher then my reservation. I told her its never been that way before. She argued with me and said because I didnt check in online it was more at the facility. I said fine, Ill go out and check in in my truck. She said go ahead. While I was in the truck she came out and said she found out what she did wrong and she could fix it. So I had to go back in and start over again. The next time I went in and had checked in online and they said its not worth doing that cause they still have to do it over when you come in. The 3rd time we pulled around back as we always do to get our trailer and the guy working outside started yelling at my husband that he cant park back there. No one has ever told us that and there are no signs stating that anywhere. When we returned the vehicle we pulled in where it says to drop off the trailer the same guy was there. 2 other vehicles came in behind us. Whipped around us and proceeded to go ahead of us cause he told them too. We were there first. He proceeded to wait on them instead of unhooking us first. My husband was very angry. Wgen he finally came to us there was no apology. We are in the process of moving a whole house. We were planning on getting a large truck for the final load and still rent trailers between now and November. Weve been a customer at this uhaul for many years. But weve decided to go somewhere else. Theyve gotten to busy and dont have enough help to take care of the customers. And they have a dont care attitude

Great GM this guy has a cool beard he upgraded my truck from a 17’ to 20’ for free all because they were running low on 17’ trucks. Very affordable and friendly atmosphere, it made me want to start growing a beard like his. Excellent place to do business

I had a class 1 receiver hitch installed on my Honda Accord by Zachary last Friday and was very satisfied. He installed it in less time than anticipated, and explained the limitations of a class 1 hitch that I needed to know, regarding the amount of bicycles I could put on a bicycle hitch carrier. These folks were all very helpful and I highly recommend them. They really focus on customer service, which seems to be a lost art at other places I have been to. Tom Knoll

I had a reservation with Budget which fell through, so I came to this place. Not only did they have a truck available that day, but they matched my quote from Budget and the insurance cost ended up being $300 cheaper! The pick-up and drop-off process was incredibly easy too! I would absolutely do business with U-Haul again!

We had a reservation for a month, and they didnt have our trailer and just started helping the next person in line. We waited 30 minutes just to have OUR turn in line, we had a reservation and we supposedly had a trailer, but this UHAUL just gave us the finger and told us we were out of luck and laughed at us. DONT USE THIS UHAUL!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

I have frequented this location for the past 4 years. I move a lot of large items back and fourth from my storage unit. I have always had great service and of the employees I have dealt with have been helpful and friendly. This location is a one stop shop for all of your moving needs. I recently tried the new automated check in process from my phone. You can take pictures of any pr-existing damage and place it into your contract. It also makes you take a picture of the current mileage and fuel level, both a plus to the renter. Its a great feature, especially if the customer line is long. During the process the General Manager, John Grob, came out just to make sure the automated check in was working correctly. Thank you John and the entire team at this location!

Its a uhaul they just staff one person so its takes half a day to get a trailer. Go else where.

The moving people we hired from there stole a couple of boxes. Im glad I had a list and inventoried everything I had in storage. J and J moving sucks

Son needed move stuff out of storage to the new apartment. Rented a 10 footer. Check in with no reservation went very smooth. Return ed vendors easier. Down side the truck averaged 10mpg. 79 cents a mile

I was very impressed with the level of customer service that Zeshan had. Not only was he adorable but he was so incredibly sweet and extremely professional. I needed a truck at last minute and I had no reservation on a weekend. It was for me a stressful situation but Zeshan was so willing to help me and by the time I left I was actually looking forward to moving. Zeshan is a star employee with the level of professionalism he projected! I am not sure if this is read or not but to the GM Justin, make sure you are aware of the wonderful employee you have. Zeshan should be a manager by now! Thank you again Zeshan.

This location seems to do a lot of business. Lots of trucks, vans, and gear, fast, friendly service at the counter, and a drop box so you can leave your truck after-hours. Made my move go smoothly.

The staff and the management at this local (I have used them many times), have always gone above and beyond with their full service. I recently rented a one way truck from here to CA. The CA location charged me for Gas which was against my contract. The manager at this location corrected this error immediately with no problem. I highly recommend this location for excellent service, & great vehicules,

This was a disastrous u-hual service I ever received. The crew cancelled my express check in appointment for no reason. Profiled me when I got there. I was forced to go back the next day to get a truck at the stores crew convenience. When I returned the truck they all said its all fine but I was charged 120 $ more for no reason and I am still struggling get my money back. And when I call no one cares to help. This location is a one of the worst locations and I received the worst service ever.

Kinda bummed out. I pre registered online and it still took a long time at the desk. Upon getting to my destination with the truck I came to find out there was no moving dolly inside (which I had already paid for) They offered to have me come back but seeing as since they charge by the mile, that wasnt happening. And despite me verifying how line I needed the truck, I received a call well before my time asking if I was bringing it back.

Thank you to the detail oriented staff of Uhaul on Arizona Ave. I went here to have my trailer checked at another location on Galveston and Hamilton. They had noticed that the chains were almost worn bare and that the hitch was not installed properly. They did theyre very best to remedy this and replaced the chains free of charge and attached the hitch correctly. The staff were very professional and handled the situation well.

They steal your property. I recommend everyone to go check out their storage. My 32 HD tv was stolen from their storage. Some speakers. They probably thought we will not be back since our stuff has been in storage for 6 months. We went back to get my tv..It was gone, small speakers, my jewelry stuff that had sentimental stuff. They left all my boxes open. Only they had the keys since it was THEIR lock. Make sure to get your own lock. The manager said he will look at the cameras but I doubt it. They know we live in California. Just becareful. Employees will steal your stuff if they think you wont come back for your stuff. We tried to have a friend added to account and they said no since we need to be in Arizona (we live in California) Please please please dont trust the employees. Get your own lock or go elsewhere. Make sure to take pictures when you leave. Better yet a video with stamp on it. We made the mistake of not doing that.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! A month ago I rented 10 plastic boxes for a local move. I went to pick up this morning and first the new girl had no clue what I was renting, and they only had 4 ! 4!!! Does me absolutely no good. You would think after a month they would have what I reserved and paid in advance for. You would also think if there was a problem, they would have called.HORRIBLE! All they said was sorry, no attempt to help me find more, just, sorry

Service was above and beyond. Estoban and Manny are top notch employees. 2nd Time at facility and 1st time as a customer. Both times Estoban was great, but Manny went above and beyond when I had an issue and was extremely helpful when I needed it. Even when I thought I mightve had the problem solved on my end, Manny took the time to walk me through the process and ensured that I was another satisfied customer. Thanks guys! Will recommend and use service in the future!

Showed up at 7AM with a reservation for a 24 truck. People without reservations who showed up earlier were able to get trucks off the lot. I showed up at the counter and my truck was already given out to someone who didnt reserve it. Horrible customer service. People without reservations should not take priority. Im moving in the middle of June and every minute of cooler weather in the morning counts. Im now being pushed off to the Gilbert location who supposedly has a truck and will have lost about an hour and a half of moving time by the time this is all solved. Definitely going to use Penske next time I move.

Really slow, but they have reasonably priced propane. Once I got someone out there to fill my tanks he was really fast and friendly.

Nice employs. clean environment. just really frustrating that you can pay cash and put a card on file. they have to charge your card then you pay them cash when your return the truck. then you have to wait 3 to five business day to get that money back. supper frustrating.

Easy to pick up a truck. In and out fast.

Overcharges and false advertising. This facility advertises $19.95 in town for a pick up truck rental. In fact, the rate is 79.00. This is because they charge an additional rental charge (39.95) and miles (like .54 cents per mile!) so right from the start your at They will also charge you additinal fees when you tell them you need an open ended contract to use the equipment for one to several days. They then trick you by saying something different in the contract which of course is tiny tiny print. So i needed a truck overnight and when i brought it back first thing the next morning, they tacked on an additional 20.00 late fee when i specifically told the kid the evening before Id need it at least until the next day. They also have their trucks wired only to tow their equipment. My personal truck broke down while renting a Home Depot trailer and I needed this truck to take the Home Depot trailer back. They have no adapters or way of connecting to other trailers (so no brake or running lights). I will never come here again, which is not the usual Uhaul I go to. I tried to explain the situation with the returns guy and he couldnt have cared less. He was very smug while trying to pretened to be nice but he was more or less smug. I recommend you stay away from this place Uhaul. The Uhaul at Arizona Ave and Riggs is very friendly and wint nickle and dime you. Ive rented from them many times.

The problem was not the fast service to get our Uhaul Truck for the day. That was great. They were friendly and fast; the issue was when we got back to return our truck.When we received the truck there was obvious damage done, previously. There were little xs (stickers) all over the truck to where it had been scratched significantly. I assume the little xs meant that those had been tallied by Uhaul and sent in for claim. However, when we got there (after we finished for the day), the individuals checking us out tried to stick us with that bill. I was blown away. That was quite possibly the shadiest thing I have ever seen.There was a portion of the damage that the xs look like they had fallen off. There was even sticky residue left over. Which I pointed out and took pictures of while I went ahead and called the police. While I was on the phone with the police, because I wasnt leaving without a statement and pictures, the manager came out and told us we were free to leave. The part that had me so astounded was that the damage was so obviously a part of the damage done previously, even if the stickers had fallen off, but the individuals checking us out tried to say that they, see the truck every day, and tried to intimidate me, a woman, into paying for damages I did not do. The audacity of the representative that checked us out was astounding. To outwardly lie to me in order to intimidate me into footing a bill was not only unethical but completely illegal.Be wary and pay attention to the shape your vehicle is in when you receive it from this location. They have damaged trucks they are attempting to fix by sticking people who didnt do the damage with the bill but are too afraid to argue their point. At the point I called the police was when they backtracked. If they were so sure of there position there would have been no reason to let us go. This was terrible, and if i could give them negative stars, I would.

Employees seem to hate their jobs. I watched one employee very rudely and condescendingly inform the customer in front of me that they needed a hitch adapter for their trailer before I was sent outside to wait indefinitely for assistance that was supposed to be right there. After asking another employee how much longer it would be they radioed in and said no one knew I was out there. Rip off company coasting on the hard work and customer service that its founders had but has long since passed.

At least at the DMV, they give you chairs to sit in while you wait for hours and hours to get service.

U haul ramp was jammed and we had to fight 30 minutes to get it out. We had moving blankets given to us not in packaging and unfolded. So when we returned the truck with unfolded blankets, they said if we did not fold them they would charge us a fee????? Use another u haul location or use a different company. Return attendant wasnt the nicest.

Got me in and out in less than 2 hours for my trailer hitch.

Waited 20 min for a propane refill, nobody came. Left for another place.

The “Ring Bell for Service” doesn’t work. I waited a while. Went to the back office and “oh the bell doesn’t work”. Either fix it or take the sign down!!!
