Great prices, had everything I wanted, but its hard to find things in the store. If you asked a staff person you got it, they came so close to great service them kinda dropped the ball. Staff seemed to avoid you, a man in white shirt I assumed was management appeared to walk away after he had helped me twice, was supper friendly when I asked about product, until I asked to order some them told just come back. I dropped over 300 in a 15 min visit, a simple thanks for shopping by any of the staff would take just the little needed more for 5 stars. Ill be back ane recommend them for price and variety, and really close to great service

Very nice selection and store. They have all the basics and a very good selection of harder to find items as well. Overall the store is clean and updated it seems daily. The staff is very knowledgeable and they like to steer you back to their brands if possible but Im okay with that as many of their brands are very good as well and usually at a better price. In addition, I know exactly what I want and what Im going to buy despite what they recommend.

Used to be good, until Corporate came through, so I dont shop there much anymore. I will go in for a particular Rum and will check if they have a favorite N/A beer but theyve cut out so many things its not worth a trip. They dont seem to order N/A beer very often, or maybe they just hope the customer will get frustrated and buy real beer.

They have a good selection of the basic wines that are popular with their clientele. It can be more difficult to find specific types of wine/winemaking styles for studying wine in more depth but I wouldn’t think this would be of concern to most people! The classes are fun for getting an intro to different topics. It’s easy to shop in store or online and they always have friendly staff. They send out great coupons to rewards members so you can usually get a decent deal!

This is a well stocked suburban liquor store. I can count on their inventory of all the staples along with a worthy selection to browse and find new things. I also appreciate the opportunity to sample items from time to time. But online and pick up options are helpful too.

This is definitely a one stop shop! Love all of the options, love the employee suggestions posted in every aisle - they have gotten us some of our now faves. Just a great place.

I like Total Wine overall, been going to this chain from way back in my younger days in Dallas, TX. This location in Chanhassen though, is an odd place. The employees here hide the ‘in-demand’ whiskies and hand it out to select few people while pleading them to submit a review and mentioning their name in it. Funny and shoddy.Perhaps this is an acceptable practice by the management there, but for me, it is wrong and irritating.Just like other Totalwine locations they need to display it in the shelves if they have it, not hide it in their warehouse and squeeze customers out for a stellar review.

It can be done, but its hard to consistently beat Total Wines trifecta of service, variety and price. I find it much too easy to spend 15 minutes browsing just the craft beer selection..

I just came from Total wine, the chanhassen location. This is my 2nd trip there for the week. I was there last Saturday, where I was properly dressed ( good experience) Today I stopped by after work, in my dirty work clothes ( bad experience) I was looking for El Dorado 12yr and Barefood Pink Moscato. The man that helped me locate them was rushing me to explain what I needed. By the time I finished explaining what I was looking for, he made me feel like a low class literate. A customer over hearing our conversation came to my rescue and told him exactly what I wanted. He took me to it, point to the product and walked away. I was afraid to walk around and keep looking for more potential Gifts. I was out the store less than 2 minutes. Never shopping at this location again.

As an InstaCart shopper, the idea is to go fast, the faster the better. It doesnt matter how many times I have been to Total Wine, my time there is never short. They are huge, yeah the aisles are marked and the place is laid out nicely, but unless youre familiar with alcohol, youre really not going to know where certain stuff is.But hands down, the staff is absolutely amazing!!! The best customer service and actually very knowledgeable about what they have and where things are and if theyre out, they check inventory and actually have to get the mini pallet jack out and theyre lifting things up off the top of these tall shelves and theyll find what youre looking for and it doesnt take them to long either. Sometimes they are out and theyll make awesome recommendations. The staff is also very friendly and funny!One thing though, be prepared and save a little extra time around the holidays. They get so busy, its like a mad house in there. They will still help you, but because the place is huge, the ratio of staff to customers isnt enough. I couldnt imagine being an employee, they do such an amazing job helping one person after another and doing it with class. My hats off to them! ☺️

The staff is always so helpful. They give excellent recommendations and dont pressure you to buy the more expensive brands, and actually recommend products that are high quality yet less expensive than other well known brands.

80% of the time my product is not on the shelf. I have to find someone to find the product. This adds about 15 minutes onto what should be a 5 minute visit! I keep coming back because almost everyone is helpful and I love your prices!

Total Wine is awesome! Whats not to love: all price points, selection like no one else, extremely helpful and knowledgeable employees, clean and attractive atmosphere. And NOT just wine, the beer and liquor selection is also the BEST. There is usually a tasting going on before 8PM. Its like a candy store for adults! But you can feel very comfortable bringing the kids in.

Im certainly not a wine person. But I had a wine a while back that I really loved and wanted to see if I could find another. Unfortunately they didnt carry the one I wanted, but offered me 3 alternatives that were supposed to be very similar. I disliked two of them a great deal and one was tolerable. Still searching for my perfect wine, but I do appreciate the help of the fine employees here.

Went in with a couple of friends, obviously above the drinking age, and when they didn’t find what they wanted, they went outside to wait while I purchased my alcohol. Only the cashier wouldn’t sell to me because my friends didn’t offer up their IDs when they were leaving. These cashiers need a lesson that that’s all they are, cashiers at a ‘Costco for alcohol’ store. Not some crime fighters who think they’re keeping alcohol from minors...when in fact the whole party was above 21. Never again. The cashiers are rude and if you look underage, they’ll steal your time by calling a manager over just to confirm that the date of birth on your ID is correct....because the cashiers can’t seem to read.
