One of my favorite natural health food stores that I visit on a regular basis. This store has a nice selection of healthy organic foods and they have GREAT customer service. The only minus is... they are a bit on the expensive side for an organic/natural foods store. But we still Love them. :)

I absolutely love lakewinds chanhassen. The staff are so kind, the groceries are fresh, and the hot bar selection is always amazing. I stop in at least 4 times a week to see what delicious food they have at the hot bar (there are always lots of allergy-friendly options)!

Good food, clean tables, didnt take more than 9ish mins to get my food, they bought it to my table and it was hot when I receive it.

Our family loves Lakewinds and have been a member for years. I am always pleasantly surprised by the value- great sales, member discounts, even everyday pricing is less than other local places. Such a great selection of allergy friendly pantry staples and always knowledgeable people there to help.

The best place around for local, organic, and sustainably grown food and health products. The day staff especially are so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Nice inviting atmosphere.I love their round up program that gives donations to great local causes. Its amazing to think of the thousands of dollars each month that are raised just by lots people rounding up a few cents at the register! Wonderful idea. I wish all grocery stores would do this for their communities.

Do the produce department is small it is beautifully arranged and maintained all day long that actually makes me want to eat more vegetables. And thats saying something because Im plant-based.

I have loved this store for a long time. I am a member. However I was extremely disappointed when asked if they could shred 4 pounds of cheese for me for a party and very coldly I was told No. So I took my chances and hoped they would have 4 pounds of cheddar shredded the day of the party and …. No there was no shredded cheese. I called another store who gladly shredded 4 pounds of cheese for the party. Very disappointed!

Great food and products. Helpful staff. My favorite? Rudis Organic Bakery: Honey Sweet 100% Whole Wheat bread. All the family will love it!

Great spot for organic food as well as dry goods such as bulk spices, nuts, seeds, and grains. I recommend the ginger turmeric cashews. They also have a decent cheese, deli and meat counter selection.

Clean, friendly, always have what I want. Fabulous multigrain flax cranberry rolls. Easy in and out. Been a regular for years.

Didn’t feel safe in grocery store. Before COVID, I loved coming to this grocery store. Now it feels incredibly unsafe when 80% employees are choosing not to wear a mask. Definitely not returning.

Phenomenal store, I always come here for the produce as its the freshest around and the selection always changes to new unique things you usually cant find. As well as amazing local support, heavily recommend coming here any chance you get.

I like this store. It has a nice selection and it is the only place in the Twin Cities area that carries Daves Killer Bread. I will be visiting again and often.

This is really annoying. Do you guys not know that Banh Mi simply means Bread in Vietnamese? So your selling a Bread Spring Roll? This thing youre selling is simply a normal Spring Roll, in fact, it doesnt even remotely resemble a normal Banh Mi Sandwich in ingredients at all. This is really insulting to the Vietnamese Culture. But sure, I know what youre getting at with naming it that but this is just as dumb as the Banh Mi Bowl some morons invented awhile back.This Spring Roll is better named the Tofu Veggie Spring Roll.

It was pricy for the quality of produce. Not impressed with the cucumbers I purchased.

I really do like this place almost everything is excellent. The food at the hot bar is always good way better than most grocery stores. Friendly employees who seem to have a good wealth of knowledge. My only gripe is the roasted chickens don’t have any salt what gives with that?

I delivered a couple pallets of goods at their dock this morning. I told them I was nodding off at the wheel and asked if I could walk through their service door and get something from the deli. Not only did they let me, they gave me a free breakfast. Thanks guys, you made my day.

Co-ops are my favorite and this local, suburban gem doesn’t disappoint.

Love the atmosphere and the quality of the food stalls is excellent.

This place is a quick place to go for a few inexpensive, fresh cheese, fresh produce well stocked and fresh meat.

Lakewinds offers a great variety of healthy foods and beverages. The salad/soup and hot bar is excellent. They also offer pizza and burtitto bowls. Supplements and beauty products are also very high quality here. The best part of the store is the workers, they are all great. The drive-up service is also a nice addition.

Update: Cheese selection has improved (thank you!), and theyve updated their policy to require people who dont feel they can wear a mask to do curbside pickup. Bravo! Five stars.Weve been members for a few years now and are generally pleased with the quality, selection, and staff. However I had to take a star off because recent changes have made it difficult to shop here for all our needs. Whoever selects the cheese, for instance, needs to understand that 4 year olds with sensitive tummies cannot be tempted by exotic cheeses from all over the world. If I want to feed my child typical organic cheeses I have to shop somewhere else. Ive spoken to the cheese counter staff at length and both my husband and I have submitted comment cards, and nothing has changed. Were not all 60+ retirees from Minnetonka!

Every square foot of Lakewinds Food Co-op seems well laid out to service clientele. I am often amazed that for its size, I typically find everything that I am looking for. The fruit and vegetables are fresh and well stocked. Staff is super at helping when I wish to place a custom order. It also has fresh salads, soups and roasted/seasoned chickens to pickup for lunches and dinner.

They have great selection of food products. The aisles are very clean and the shelves are well stocked. check them out!

The shopping experience at Lakewinds is quite perfect. Short isles crammed with the best (in my opinion) selection of health food. Awesome fresh fish dept as well. Im not a cheese or cream kind-o-guy, so a good bit of what is offered on the hot bar doesnt shake my tree.The other items, however, are some of the best Ive eaten. Im specifically writing this review about the burrito/taco/bowl bar. Ive tried Whole Foods, obviously Chipotle, and most of the few others who offer quick mexicanish. All these other spots add too much oil, salt, or preserves and it shows. I personally drive the 15 extra miles on an empty stomach to Lakewinds after most workouts for my bowl. There isnt a close second if you like a clean, fresh, and flavorful rice/beans/meat experience.

Top quality meats, produce, soup and salad bar. Best selection of organic jellies, snacks, etc... My personal favorite place for groceries.

I love Lakewinds. I sometimes get bummed that it is expensive, BUT the benefits really outweigh the cost for me. I love their selection of local and organic foods, and especially that they focus on carrying only organic for produce on the EWGs dirty dozen list. It takes the guess work out of shopping conventional vs. organic. They also have a great selection if you have any dietary restrictions. We need to avoid gluten, dairy, soy, and peanuts, and I am able to find so many products that can still fit into our diets. The staff has always been helpful and pleasant, too.

Store closed due to an employee party @4pm . . . Where am I to find this out when I am stopping after work and only see a sign on the door states that… ??? Maybe adjust the open/close hrs permanently on sertain days and advertice better about it. I am all for team building, but not when I spent 30 min in traffic getting to you after work.

If you are already buying healthy, organic, or allergy friendly options of food you will find they are actually cheaper at this “expensive“ store than they are at mainstream grocers. PLUS you have the opportunity to support so many local producers. (FYI-The greater Minneapolis area has some amazing small food companies!)Getting a 5% discount with your membership, and other private membership offers have been wonderful as well.I also love the friendly helpful staff… They will look up anything for you, and if they don’t carry something, they are happy to special order it for you provided you buy a slightly larger quantity.I have three children, and the store has been nothing but friendly to them as well!

We have been clients of the Lakewinds Coop for many years and deeply appreciate the service, profesional and helpfull attitude of the staff all over.However this morning I experienced a quite disturbing situation when the cashier sided with one client against the other, me! and stated that sometimes the cahier has to police, to use her term, the client. She then pointed out to me that the ruIes we are to be following have been in place for a week already, and therefore I should know, with a gesture and tone of voice that was not inviting. I felt very much belittled.I understand that we are all going through a delicate and challenging time, but more than ever, we need to be respectfull of each other. There are many kind and supportive words we can use to address each other.I do not wish any action to be taken towards the cashier individually, every one needs a job, but if the manager could remind the staff that each human being needs to be treated respectfully, whichever side of the counter they stand, maybe we can reinstall a sense of safety and harmony among us.I have deep respect for all those who continue to serve the community, they have my full appreciation, therefore I will continue my business with Lakewinds.

Cashiers are often very rude at this location, until I give my membership number. On many occasions my membership has never been asked for. I guess I look too uncool or poor to shop there? I never have this issue at the Richfield location.

Usually very fresh selections. Whole foods type setting but more customer oriented, more genuine organics. Higher prices focussed on customers willing to pay a premium for specialty organics.

Better value than Whole Foods, good produce, and the ***most delicious*** prepared foods made daily by their chef (hats off for the outstanding frittata and roasted brussel sprouts she whipped up today). I didn’t give five stars because I’d like to see a few things improve. 1) the boxed tea selection needs to be expanded. It’s rather narrow for black teas. 2)I’d like to see more than just one option for local grass fed, organic dairy that *is* homogenized. The current brand is available only in non-homogenized, which is not tasty to my family, so we buy a national brand.

Way too many people not wearing masks! Aisles are narrow and masks should be required. Can’t shop here until it’s safe to do so. It isn’t safe now.

Great place to get natural and organic food items including free-range and ethically-raised and free-trade and some that are hard to find or not available anywhere else. Great co-op.

My go to store. The staff are always friendly and talk to my toddler son when I bring him. During the lockdown, they never placed any limits on items and typically where fully stocked, unlike most other places around here. And they are a local small business so I like supporting them.

I am member over 5 years love it . Good service . But for the members would be nice to have some little gift for expected mothers and new born babys. because they are the new ones to be spent on . Just an idea for the Lakewinds no other stores doing it

I live in GoldenValley. I drove to the Minnetonka store first. They had two soups that were empty. When I asked how long it would be they said it was heating. I then called the Chanhassen store to see if you had chicken noodle soup. I was assured that you did. I drove from The Minnetonka store to Chanhassen and arrive to be told sorry it’s going to be at least an hour as it’s heating up. First off the soups should be checked regularly and when they are getting low the next batch should already be warming. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I am really starting to regret purchasing a membership. Not good business.
