Poor response time to calls and emails. Slow to schedule anything. Not interested in or willing to work out problems. Flaky. Did NOT complete the work and cant be reached/wont respond. Overcharged by several hundred dollars and refuse to correct the issue (kept the work deposit even after the final invoice indicated a lower cost).There are a dozen other places in the area. Choose any one of them; theyre 100% likely to be better.

All downhill after we put down a deposit.They were knowledgeable about products and provided a good selection. And were helpful and courteous in the beginning.We had multiple problems with installation (carpet and luxury vinyl plank). Final installation results were far from craft level you would expect considering what we paid: installers dented existing hardwood floors, many more carpet seams than quoted, poorly installed threshold pieces, and carpet snagged in multiple places, didn’t bother to reinstall doors that they took down, and some discrepancy in appliance install fees.When addressing some of these issues the front office offered only excuses and no solutions.Overall experience was upsetting. Especially considering we chose to go with Bruce’s after getting a good first impression and reception.But as I said before once we were locked in with a deposit we received very different treatment. Maybe because flooring has such a long half-life they don’t need to rely on return customers?Cannot recommend.

We have been consistently dissatisfied with Bruces from day one. We bid out a ~1100sf engineered hardwood floor job to three different folks. We were mostly set on an engineered hardwood because of the conditions of the rooms and a preference for wood over more synthetic materials. Bruces pitched luxury vinyl hard. We really felt like we werent being listened to. We explained numerous times that my girlfriend would be assigned to a 6 month job overseas one week after moving into our home and time was the number one factor in choosing between the three bids because I wanted her to have time to move in and set up the house before leaving so that she would have a HOME to look forward to returning to. I know its a small thing, but they kept referring to my girlfriend as my wife. It didnt bother us, but it should have been an indicator that they werent listening. We went with Bruces because the manager promised our job would be done on time. She even said the words, we do what we say were going to do. I reserve high regard for folks who operate that way, with integrity.Ill sum up an already long review with numbers: The original target completion date was February 23. It is April 16 and the job is not complete. Three times I took off work to accommodate their schedule in which they did not show up (including today in which they showed up, but only to tell me in person that they didnt have time to do any work). Once they showed up after I was told theyd work late but took off at 4:30pm to cash paychecks before the bank closed and did not return. Twice they had to procure supplies, because they didnt estimate the job correctly the first time. $700 more we paid than the next best bidder, but only because we were assured by Bruces the job would be completed withing our time frame.Bruces has been consistently unprofessional and unreliable and has shown no desire to take accountability for the problems and hassles theyve caused.
