My husband and I came for the first time and the selections for a vegetarian pescatarian and meat lovers are absolutely wonderful. Black beans and rice and the salsa is absolutely wonderful. Cannot select the words for how good it was!

After being a customer 3-5 times already at this place, I will no longer be one. I already thought they overcharged me for tires and EVERY time I have made an appointment there I’ve waited hours. There was one time my car sat in the parking lot for 3 days and each day I had to find a ride to come back to get my car they said they haven’t got to it yet. They just forgot about my car and couldn’t take a few minutes to patch up my tire which left me without a car all weekend. Once again when I called Sunday morning to tell -Kyle- who answered the phone my tire was going flat and I think it had a nail in it and needed it patched he said he could set me up an appointment for this week but couldn’t get it to today. I live less than 5 minutes from this shop, and after driving past it there are not many cars in the parking lot and they don’t close until 5 until Sunday and with hours left in the day he didn’t even want to try to get my tire patched that would not of taken that long. No care at all that people have work and other responsibilities to get to and need there car. So now my tire is continuing to get flatter and flatter to the point where I won’t even be able to drive it anywhere to get it patched. It is very clear this place has no sympathy or good customer service. So unbelievable. Never again will they get any business from me! Thanks for nothing Kyle!

I understand being busy and being a walk in I didn’t expect it to be done right away but I dropped it off at 8 am to get a tack out of my tire and didn’t leave until 530. When I called at 320 they said your next in line it will be an hour and I reiterated I need to pick my child up and can’t be here past 5. Oh yea no problem. Still no call at 5 so I get there and it’s up getting worked on. Finally at 530 the old guy who works behind the desk goes out tells the guy to put it down while rolling his eyes . Drives it out mumbles something and walks away… no receipt no nothing. Pretty terrible service. Obviously you haven’t fixed anything fromThese reviews months ago bc it’s still a problem.

Tires are reasonable, but if you want to get your vehicle back in a timely fashion, you most likely will be disappointed. Also, I would not recommend doing and repairs here other than tires and oil change. They are not equipped. We had axle repairs and let them do the work. They kept telling us over three days they were doing the work soon. Then after finally getting our truck weeks later there was a seal messed up. We took it back to James Island and they did not have a technician in town. So they sent us to the West Ashley shop who also had no technician in town. They also said the part had to be ordered and took two days. I believe these managers just are understaffed and keep you hanging on the line so you dont go elsewhere, but they really dont have the ability to fix your vehicle in a reasonable time. Again, for tires, they are okay but not as a repair shop!

I dropped my car off at 3:45pm to have 1 tire replaced. They told me it would be done first thing in the morning and to call them at 10am the following day. I did as instructed and was told the car would be ready at 11am (so not first to be completed that morning) and that they would give me a call. I received no such call and made several unanswered calls back only to be told my car would be ready in 30mins (12:40pm). When I arrived, my car was still not done and I had to sit in the waiting room for an additional 30+ minutes.In short, 3 different times were provided to me and not one of them was correct. Save your time and your money by going anywhere else. It’s absolutely ridiculous the amount of time wasted trying to schedule the return of my vehicle, especially considering it’s a work day. This was a simple service that could have been quickly addressed elsewhere.

We have been going to this place for years before they changed the name. Usually they are good to us as we always went there for tires and brakes. Last time my daughter needed an oil change, she dropped her car off the night before. She called the next day mid afternoon to check on her car, they said they didnt check their night box, so they hadnt even got to her car. When she picked it up, the said they would give her $10 off bc she had to wait but when getting the bill, they did no such thing. I took my car yesterday bc I needed an oil change and for them to change a valve stem. When I picked it up today, I was told I had a nail in my tire, so they patched it, but when I got the bill, the charge for the valve stem was still on the bill. When I asked about it, he said their charge for a tire patch is $45, so he left the cheaper charge on the bill. Every time I have had a tire patch, it has never been over $10. So while I am thankful they didnt charge me $45 for the patch, they should have only charged me $10 at the most as we have been such loyal customers. That will be the last time we take our cars there.

Tire Choice Auto Service Centers on Folly Road on James Island is an excellent place to go for all things tires and car service. They are quick and efficient at getting everything done when you need them. They make the process very easy and get to work right away. I have had a good experience with them each time.

We brought two vehicles in for repair service and both were quickly assessed and fixed at reasonable cost. Sean was concise and provided very good customer service.

Mohamed Aweidat went above and beyond to have my tire repair done. He could easily have seen the minor damage to the wheel causing a leak and just recommended to replace it ($$$), but instead sanded and sealed the area and fixed it.Very pleased.

Do all my tire and most oil change business with this store, unfortunately, today was the last. I dropped my truck off for oil change and tire rotation at 9am, Kyle told me they were busy, but could have it back in 3-4 hours. I made sure because I was headed out of town this afternoon. No calls to state otherwise and at 2pm, my truck hadn’t been touched. Picked it up to leave town and take my business somewhere else. Communication is key! Would have been better if he had said he couldn’t get to it today, not a promise with it 3-4 hours.

My jeep is in right now getting an alignment. The gentleman at the counter was EXTEMELY nice and polite. They got my jeep in and on the lift very quickly. Will be using them again for sure.

I was on my way home in the upstate after an appointment at MUSC. An unexpected auto issue came up, and lucky for me I was referred to this shop. They were able to work me into the schedule, repair my car, and get me headed home within a couple of hours. I can’t thank this team enough for their service and professionalism.

So I would never go back to them for any car services. I just need a quick patch on my tire yesterday. The guy I spoke too at the store said it would be done the same day which it wasnt and was told when I called they were working on it and I could get it at 7:30 the next day. So we waited till 9am still didnt even look at it. Finally at 10am they did it butcharged me 32.98 to patch a tire. Which is ridiculous!!!! Not to mention that the part on my receipt says 10.49 and labor is 6$ does this make any sense. This is why I would drive somewhere else if I could. I wont be back ...So now were back with our ture they apparently patch and it didnt even make a week.....

Terrible experience. Dropped my car off due to some noise while steering. After a day of diagnosis, they couldnt figure out if it was the steering pump, a leak in the hoses, or the entire rack and pinion. They told me they needed to replace it all. They had the car for two weeks trying to get the work done- they said they had to fire the guy working on it, they also got delivered a bad pump, etc. I paid $1,500. Once I picked up the car, 2 days later it made a grinding noise while I was driving and I had to have it towed back to the shop. They told me they forgot a screw and that they fixed it. After I picked it up, another day goes by and more noises. Brought it back and they said an O-ring blew out. They joked luckily it wasnt a space shuttle and returned my car. I could tell it was still not done right, so that same day I brought it to the dealer in North Charleston. After a diagnostic (which I paid another $80 for) they said the steering column wasnt tightened properly and wouldve caused catastrophic damage if I drove it much more. They fixed that, but I can still tell the original work is not done right. Dont trust them with any auto repair.

So I appreciate honesty. These people don’t have it. I called and asked if they could fix golf cart tires. I was told yes and to bring them at 7:30 am. I took the tires off the cart and was there at 7:30. I was told to leave them and check back in about 30 minutes because the “guy” who does those woukdnt be in until 8:00. I went to Walmart mart came back then there is a different manager behind the desk. He “we don’t do small tires” sorry “corporate doesn’t allow it.” These people are not honest. Beware.

I went almost two weeks ago for a specific tire to be changed. I made an appointment that time and was in and out within a hour, even with a rotation. I had scheduled an alignment but they had to put a work order in for the machine, but made sure to call before my appointment to inform me. Fast forward to today, I woke up to a tire that had clearly gone bad and a second one that looked like it was going bad. I didnt have an appointment but they made sure to give me a time frame of when to arrive which was very accurate. Due to their work load, they advised them that I may not get my car back until the next day but my car was done and ready within 3 hours. I think the guy at the front desk saw the stress on my face when I told him what I needed done and they provided a package that was VERY affordable for what I needed. They have done quick, affordable, and (so far) reliable work for me twice so far. I will be back when needed.

We are from out of town, stopped by because we had something in our rear tire causing it to flat. Was asked if we was dropping it off, told him no we were from out of town, and he told us that he didnt have any idea when they could even get to it... which I understand if youre busy, but the employees were just standing there on the phone. It would have took a total of 10 minutes.

Took my car here bc my steering wheel was vibrating. Spent $1400 on two new tires and a tune up as the suggested. Drove about 1 mile away and the steering wheel continued to vibrate. They then informed my I needed about $2000 worth of more work including replacing my catalytic converter. I took my car to Richards in West Ashley and was informed I never even got a true tune up. Only one speak plug was replaced and the reason the car was still vibrating was bc it was running on 5 spark plugs instead of 6 like it should be. Never take your car here unless you just want to throw away money.

I set up an appointment online for an oil change and tire rotation. When I arrived I was greeted by an unhelpful employee who told me that he could not get to my car until after lunch. The entire time the employee acted as if I was bothering him. Customer service is clearly not part of this companys training program. I finally just left. I was disappointed that the conveniently located service center was so poorly run.

He showed me how to determine the age of my tires. Turns out some that I just acquired on a set of rims were 13 years old. Which explains why one was separating. But looked new, great tread, but made me have to get a set so I did. Fair price on them too.

I dropped my car off on a Monday when they were pretty busy. They warned me that they may not get to me until the next day, which was fine. But then I got a pleasant surprise at around 4:30 when they called to say my car was ready. So I got to go to the beach after all! They were very friendly and professional and the prices seemed about right. I will be back!

DONT go here unless you want to get ripped off. Dishonest, scammers! Tried to upsell me 1 tire for $105 + $30 installation when all that was needed and completed by others was a plug. Then proceeded to charge me for a plug on another tire, assuming I would not inquire directly with the mechanic who said he did nothing with the other tire. Shame on you!!! I will be sending a recap of my experience here to the BBB.

I wish i could give a positive review because the manager Joe seems like a nice enough guy, and he did give me a refund without hassle which I appreciate. I brought in my car for what one would think is a simple fix for a tire center. It was losing pressure so I figured it needed a patch or a replacement. The guys here said my rim was leaking and it was fixed $25 later. The next day it was losing pressure again so I brought it back. Joe said I must have a sensor issue and the tire is fine. The next day tire pressure was down again to 16 pounds. Obviously not a sensor issue. If i had listened to them I’d be stranded on the side of the road right now. My husband found a nail in the tire-you would think a tire center would be able to find a nail in a tire. Maybe it’s an issue of incompetent employees... whatever the case I’ll never return. Two days of my week totally wasted.

I had to change my appointment 2 because I was so busy the week my tire blew, they were very accommodating and polite. Managed to get me in early, it was fast and cheap. They patched my tire and helped get me deals on a new set that won’t break the bank., very good experience!!!

I have been bringing my vehicles here for years now. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciate that they do a full vehicle inspection, even when you are just getting an oil change. Prices are competitive as well. Only complaint is they dont put a sticker in on your windshield reminding you when your next oil change is due.

I was out on Folly Beach on Friday and my car start shaking a little so I stopped in this store and let me tell you, that asst mgr Dee Dee she was awesome. She new a lot and she knew how to explain what was wrong with my car without the help of any of the men working there. She is very polite and she greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. I usually go to the one on Rivers Ave but I wasnt close to that one so I just stopped in there and I will say I had a great experience talking with Dee Dee.

I was heading back home to NC and had flat tire. I had the vehicle towed to Tire Choice on Folly Road to replace the tire. I was told three hours ago it would only take about 45 minutes. Still waiting and wanting to start a 4 hour drive back home.

**EDITED** Still have not heard from anyone to fix the issue. I still have a tire that is too small and called everyone from the shop, the customer service number, the wrong district manager, and another locations shop. WHAT. THE. HELL. NEEDS. TO. BE. DONE. TO. FIX. MY. VEHICLE. I didn’t do anything wrong and have been without a vehicle for over 2 months now.I have always taken my vehicles to this location and have always had a great experience, until just recently. i went into the shop on 08/15/2020, purchased 4 new tires and got an alignment as well. I was called and told my vehicle was ready to pick up. I came back to the shop and made my payment in full and went on my merry way. I quickly realized there was an issue and called the shop back and explained what was happening and was told to bring the vehicle back and they would look at it. I was told my axle was bad. I was also told the transfer case was no good and the torque converter would need to be replaced as well. I am now confused as to how and why a vehicle that drove just fine into the shop cant be driven home. I was told it was a coincidence and that there was nothing they could do. I had to have my vehicle towed form James Island to Goose Creek because I could not drive the vehicle safely. I called the shop again on Monday and the store manager was rude and very unhelpful. I was told that if I could prove they did something wrong to my vehicle they would see what they could do to fix it, but I needed to prove it. After doing all the work to the vehicle that we were told was the issue, the vehicle still did not run properly. We then took it to another shop for a second opinion and was told the transmission was bad. Took the vehicle back home and at that point realized that it was not sitting properly. At that point we looked at all the tires and realized that 3 of the 4 tires are the correct size and one is too small. With my vehicle being all wheel drive, the torque is working harder because of the smaller tire and is messing up my transmission. When we call the shop back on 09/18/2020 to explain what we found out, we were told a claim would be filed with the shops insurance and we would hear from an adjuster. That has yet to happen. We called again to follow up on 09/22/2020 and 09/23/2020 and was never able to talk to the manager. He was out. We asked for a corporate phone number and was told to Google it ourselves. After doing so, we called and filed a claim. I called the shop back on 09/24/2020 to see what the claim number was from when they filed their claim and was told they didnt have one yet. Then I found out there was no actual claim ever filed from the shop. Again, not at all helpful and rude. Never once was I told, Im sorry for this inconvenience and we will do whatever we need to do to get this handled. I have been without a vehicle for a month and a half and I have had to do all the leg work for something that was not even my fault. WORSE. SERVICE. EVER.

Good people, felt genuine.Joe was very nice. I got my cars inspected for uber and Lyft and that was on the house. I would definitely go back. I guess it’s hard to compete with the tire spots that give you flowers at the end of your visit!Not a huge fan of first come-first serve appointments... that part wasn’t my favorite. I got there a little before 8 but still had about two hours and 40 minute wait time and it was projected to be 1.5 hours. Just a heads up. Not ideal but that could have been due to the holiday weekend, staffing, etc.

I have been to most of the local auto-repair shops, and Tread Quarters is the only one that I trust. My company truck broke down last week, and Joe went above and beyond to help me with it. I ended up selling the truck and not having it repaired after Joe and Johnathan gave me a full analysis of it and I realized it wasnt worth repairing.I drive my civic for work up and down the east coast frequently for events, and change my oil there regularly. On a family trip to beach from Maryland, got a flat tire. Looked these guys up online and saw all the good reviews, so I figured give them a shot. Was worried that being an out of towner they would try to upsale me instead of fixing it. They got me right in and proceeded to remove fix a flat, find hole, patch it, and re-balance it. On top of all that they honored coupon I had ! Definitely saved our trip ! Thanks for being a classy repair shop.

These guys (or at least a few of them) are not very good at what they do. I asked them to diagnose a noise in the wheel/brake and they came back with we couldnt find where it is coming from. They heard the noise but couldnt locate it. Isnt this what you do for a living?? Thank you for keeping my vehicle for the entire day (7 hours) and doing nothing. The only reason I have gone there a couple times is because I live a block away. This wont be an excuse anymore.

I picked up a nail in my tire on the way to Charleston for vacation. I brought it to to Tire Choice for repair and had a great experience with Robert and his team. I was able to walk in and out in 30 minutes without an appointment. Friendly and service.

Had a tire changed here December 2019. I asked for a direct replacement of the tire they removed. They sold me the lesser tire and the more expensive tire price. I know b/c I just purchased the lesser tire on Amazon to match the one they sold me. The price they charged was the same price that Amazon is charging for the tire at the next price point. Dont give them your mailing address. They will tell you that you have to call corporate to change/delete it. If you do business here, make sure you pat attention to details. Admittedly I didnt and they got me. Will not happen again.

Tread Quarters Discount Tire is anything but a discount. David is also the rudest person Ive ever met in a customer service role. I went in to have a tire looked at that I thought needed replaced after having swerved to avoid a bicyclist and bumping the curb. This place was the closest to our house. They were close to closing and just put my spare tire on saying they could fix it or replace it the next day. David seemed nice enough at this time and tried to make conversation including that he had bought his wife an $80,000 electric car. I now understand how he can afford this. I received a phone call the next day and text message but this was while I was teaching and am unable to answer my phone. I called back at the end of the school day and no answer. I then called the number located on the website that is different than the call back number David left. He was not kind that I hadnt called earlier. He also proceeded to tell me that the tire would cost $147 and that my total cost was going to be $220. (This is more than it cost me at the Mazda dealership for 2 tires). I tried to call back to tell David that I did not want to pay an extra $70 to have a tire put on my car that my husband can put on in 10 minutes. He didnt answer the phone again. I get there and he does not even greet me. He held his hand out as if to just take my credit card. I told him I would just like to pay the $147 for the tire (which is already outrageous). I own a Mazda and its not a big tire. They are much less at the dealership (or basically anywhere). I told him this and he tried to explain all of the extra fees. By the end it cost $190 and he didnt even load the tire into my car. I loaded it and we put the tire on ourselves. Avoid this place!

When you send your commercial truck in to get serviced n tires to turn around n ask someone else to do it right the second time is a shame. If you give them a small list to do, they will try to cut every corner to do it wrong n half fast. Shame shame shame.

James island center ripped off a customer of 12 + years! Charged me triple price for parts, and their phone quote was absurdly off the actual counter price! Unbelievable that I would be treated that way! Oh yeah, Ive sent lots of work your way, not anymore!

I recently came in because I thought that I needed a serpentine belt. Most places would have just changed it to make more money, but they took the time to look over my car and told me I didnt need one after all and that my car looked just fine. I was so impressed that they didnt try to suggest something I didnt need just for profit. I ended up getting an oil change just to give them my business. Joe was so friendly and I really felt taken care of. I will definitely be back!

Came to get my car battery looked at since it died twice and had to be jumped. They did some diagnostics and fixed the issue. Devin at front desk was helpful and made sure that it was addressed quickly. Would recommend and will use them again for future car repairs.

Arrived a couple minutes early for my appointment to mount a tire, a 10 minute max job. I had booked online and indicated I would be waiting for the car (not dropping off). Person that greeted me said it would take a few hours and was not happy when I said I would be waiting and not dropping off. I said, “But I have an appointment.” He gruffly responded that “everyone has an appointment, so it’s going to be a few hours.” Was really nasty to me. I said I’m going to leave then, and I did. Unbelievable! Stay away.

The guys at tire choice were able to accommodate me as a walk in on a busy Sunday and still were able to get me in and out without waiting long at all. Very happy with the services provided by Tread Quarters! I called on a Sunday to get an oil change, expecting them to tell me they were busy and schedule me for a different day. They told me to bring my car by and they would have it done before they closed. I thought it would take all afternoon but they had my car ready in 2 hours! Very pleased with the timely manner they handled my car. Makes it easy to get an oil change!

Horrible experience, had a tire that needed to be patched or replaced - not sure if it really did need to get replaced, but got the car home and discovered they replaced the wrong tire. Had to go back and there were no apologies - they had my old tire that had nothing wrong with it while I was driving on a damaged tire and a new tire they sold me. Never going back.

David was friendly, professional and quick. They dont waste your time. Highly recommend!

Stopped in without an appointment to get my tires rotated. Mgr said it would be 25/30 minutes but they could fit me in. I was finished and out the door in 25 minutes. A little lucky without an appointment but they were up front on how long they thought it would take but they were spot on getting it done. Ill be back. C.J McCarthy

I havent had great experience when comes to cars. As a women, I alwaysfeel like they see me coming.My tire had a nail in it with a slow leak.Running around on my lunch break I knew I had to do something aboutit. Ran into Tire Choice on James Island. Robert at the desk was AMAZING! He didnt promise any miracles but said he would would try.I waited 15 mins or so. He got a tech on it right away. Plugged my tire and outta there in less than 40 mins.And at NO CHARGE! WOW!Without a doubt, I will be a regularcustomer. My motto is Promise less, deliver more! Thx. Robert!So a couple months later I did as Robert suggested. Get two new, well needed tires for the front.Made an appt. Got me in ... out in 1 1/2 HOURS. Two new tires and an oil change. Just brought my vehicle in to have them look at a possible oil leak. They got me in on a reasonable timeframe and gave me an honest assessment of the issue which was simply a poor job by the previous people I had do the oil change. They ensured the drain plug and filter was tight, cleaned up the residual oil, checked to ensure no further leak and sent me on my way. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. See the technician named Joe he was awesome.
