I have purchased 4 different motorcycles from Matthews Fun Machines and they have made each purchasing process smooth simple and fun. They service department has been exceptional as well. They have done a lot of my service and have taken great care of me. The same sales representative has helped me all 4 times and he has been absolutely unbelievable. These guys know how to keep a motorcycle purchase fun.
Awesome bike selection, including my favorite...Moto Guzzi...bought a used bike from privat person in their parking lot ...( bike had been previously owned and serviced by them...)When I left, salesmanager approached me with best wishes for my bike and gave me his card....few days I called him with questions about this bike....he called me back later and was very helpful!...We shall see what this place is about if I have to bring the bike back when needed...so far so good!!!

Bought a new scooter and had a couple problems with it. Nothing caused by matthews fun machines though. Just manufacturer defects. I took it back to them and they fixed it for free. The owner is a really nice guy and will be completely honest with you. 5 stars so far for them and well see if i have problems in the future and if MFM will help me out with those issues.
The entire family of Matthews fun machines is wonderful. It is a Blessing to get to know them and frequent their establishment. Leah, Matt, Ross, Brian are just a few of the great people to begin with but never once have I met someone there I dont get along with. They go above and beyond when you purchase, sell or service any thing from them. They are the absolute best.
We just purchased our first ATV and had a great experience. Frank initially helped us and educated us on some of the innovations made on ATVs over the years. He was also honest on what was better for our needs. Through the purchase, we also dealt with Tee and Brian, who were also very helpful. We look forward to future dealings with this crew!
Great customer service, Josh was unbelievably helpful. Stopped there in search of a hard to find part for my bike that I needed ASAP and even though they didnt have it he went above and beyond to help me find someone who did. Will definitely be going back there again and would highly recommend.

Came to store to look at 4 wheelers and buy several items for grandson. Found what we wanted and paid. leaving parts went to show room. Set my 3 year old grandson on a 4 wheeler and a 50 cc bike. these kids are small these are display models. Got the eye from several men working there. asked where all 4 wheelers are. out front. then made a comment about my grandson sitting on his bikes. Small kids need to be sized to bikes, Have been into bikes my whole life. My grandson is 3 and has 4 bikes now. Wife was really pissed with this place. We were there to purchase a new 4 wheeler. We will never return to this business and if asked we never say any good about them! In all my years dealing with bikes and motorcycle shops this was the worse!! Have had multiple bikes there for parts and service. Like anything else in life sometimes things dont go exactly as planned but the team in the parts and service departments have always been top notch and gone above and beyond to make sure I leave with exactly what I want and am satisfied. I wont take my bikes anywhere else for service - Ive found them to be honest and hard-working.

On a long road trip from New Jersey about 1500 miles in, I needed service done on my bike. I called and they were able to not only accommodate my road trip they were very thorough. I asked for a basic oil change and inspection of any problems. They located 2 issues I knew of and one I was unaware of. They repaired what was necessary for me to keep moving safely and in the end their service charge was very reasonable considering my need to get it back quickly and safe. Thank you.

Purchased an Aprilia RSV4 RR in early January, 2017. Worked with Brian who was an absolute professional every step of the way. I live in Mount Pleasant and had a trade in. He was able to arrange the delivery, pickup and facilitate the purchase without me needing to leave the house. I just purchased 2 jet skis. I am very pleased with my purchases and the service that I have received. Brian went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. He even worked with me after work hours. Rob was also a wonderful help. I will definitely go back there for future purchases.
My husband is a shrewd negotiator and was able to get the best deal for a CanAm at Matthews Fun Machine. Sales folks were pretty up front and made the process easy. Now, we are in the process of dressing up our machine. The folks in the parts department have been phenomenal. Love this dealership.
I am very disappointed with their service department. They did not do what they said they were going to do. And made snide remarks about other service departments, especially about one that did exactly what they were supposed to do. This place acts like people should be happy that we even have one of their machines and if it doesnt work right, well then its all in your head or its supposed to do that. I have owned bikes for 20+ years and never in my life had I been treated this way by not one but two people in the service department. The sales department are the greatest so if you want to buy a machine from there youre in good hands! But after you pull off that lot, do not go back for any service reasons. Warranty or not. Drive 100 miles to the next place if you have to. And the service manager is also the parts manager??? I dont think she has turned a wrench in her life after talking to her.

We just bought our second can-am spider, my wife loves it. Everyone at this place has been great. They are a family and you feel like you are part of there family. have ALWAYS gone the distance for us in every way they can. Understanding about my concerns and helpful to make me not feel pushed and allowed us to take our time and do what was best for us (not push for decision). Service has as well been great. They have taken special attention to my wife so she understands (whatever it takes) the problem and the process.

Purchased a Yamaha R3 here and was surprised with the amount of care the staff has. Frank took care of me from beginning to end and even after I had already taken the bike home. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for amazing costumer service!
Bought my first bike here, they hooked me up and really welcomed me into the bike life. Would recommend to any new or experienced riders. Only thing to improve on would more info about the bike itself, I.e. how to make sure your brake fluid is at a good level, what to do if you blow a fuse. Or other common things that a new rider would have trouble with. All in all, very happy with my purchase and new lifestyle.

My family and I have used Matthews Fun Machines for years and have never had a bad experience. I bought my first motorcycle here and traded it in here as well. They took the time to look and find another bike that fit my budget. Brian also took the time to help me sort through an issue with the financing company and resolved the issue for me. He and Micah were both extremely helpful! I will never take my business anywhere else!
I have been here several times. Employees are always helpful but not bothersome. They have a good bit of stock considering their size. I also have had outstanding service from the service department. Overall very friendly and accomodating. I do wish they had a much larger accessories/apparel section.

No negatives here for me. I came in with an idea of what I wanted, in less than an hour Brian hooked me up with my first bike, a Yamaha FZ07. The whole staff was friendly and easy to get along with! Ill definitely be back.
The parks department had great customer service. I ordered some tires through them easy process. I received a confirmation call that they arrived I asked them if they could install them that day. The man replied yes. Upon arrival I picked up my tires but the service department told me they were too busy to put on 2 ATV tires. I had told a man that greeted me. All he had to say was man they usually could. Maybe I got there on an off-day but it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Hence the three stars. I wish they told me that they could not mount the tires so I didnt waste my time

I cant say enough about my experience at Matthews Fun Machines. Frank, Micah, Tee and Brian all stepped up at the end of their workday to put a fair deal together for me that I was happy with. They stayed late to set me up with insurance, washed the bike and had me on my way. There were no pushy sales tactics or annoying steering to a specific brand or to a certain type of bike. They just listened to what I wanted and set me up with a beautiful Yamaha Stryker. I have had unfortunate experiences at other dealers in the Charlotte area in the last two weeks, but these guys got it right. I also paid attention to how they spoke with other customers and felt that this was the norm for Matthews Fun Machines. I will now go out of my way to send them some business. I had taken my motorcycle to get repaired and it took them a while to figure the problem out, but it seems to be working correctly now. Customer service is good. Spoke with the general manager and he helped to resolve my issues. I would still recommend taking my motorcycle to them. I believe they will try and do what’s right by their customers. Still having problems with my clutch. If I don’t ride for a few weeks and get on it I have no clutch. Why? New clutch installed, new cylinder, no visible leaks. Why? No one else has touched it! Really frustrating when you get an opportunity to ride and can’t.
Went to Matthews Fun Machines to purchase an F3 Spyder. Drove all the way from Greenville SC and my boy Mike took great care of me. Had a budget to keep and the guys did there best and got it done. Great customer service.

Been using their service department since moving to charlotte several years ago. I have found them to always been helpful and fair in my many dealings with them. Be forewarned, the service department is almost always very busy, this isnt the kind of place you can normally ride up to whenever you want and have them work on your bike while you wait. So make an appointment, or get there early on Saturday morning when they have an established first-come first-served repair day.Cant speak as to sales department, have not purchased directly from them.

Found a better deal elsewhere and I ask him to match it and he did without hesitation. Went to dealership finished up paperwork and rode bike home. Would definitely do business with them again.👍
This review is for the SERVICE DEPARTMENT. I had my tires replaced on a VN900 and they did a great job. My service advisor MATT is a really nice guy and took his time to help me on some other issues as well. He makes you feel welcome and it seems they appreciate the business. Brian does an awesome job in sales. I handled my whole deal through text messages knowing exactly what I wanted. Picked up my zx6 Friday, spent just a few minutes at the dealership signing the forms and I was down the road on the nicest day of the spring so far. These guys always do an amazing job. Things have really gone downhill. It may be a Family Store but its gotten where they treat you like an unwelcomed guest. Im very sad to move on, but other shops are showing how much theyd like to have me as a repeat customer. BTW, from one woman to another, the lady in Service needs to realize she needs to PMS at home, and not when dealing with customers.

T is my go-to guy every time I want something new, he makes sure that I know every single detail about the machine Im buying and he beats any price out there. There is not any other motorsports dealer out there that I would rather go to. Everything about this place is an A+ for me. It seems like I will be in the minority by giving this Matthews Fun Machines a negative review here but I can only report my own experience in dealing with them as it has been a nightmare.In February 2018 I purchased a new Kawasaki motorcycle here. I had a good experience and the salesperson and support staff were professional and courteous. All that changed dramatically when it was time to bring my bike back for the 600 mile checkup. I scheduled this service for September 6th and a few days prior I found the bike had a dead battery. I regularly use a battery tender and an attempt to charge the battery was unsuccessful. I called the service manager and explained my dilemma and he said to either find someone with a trailer or go out and buy a new battery to get the bike into their shop. They would then test the old battery and a new one would be covered under warranty. I purchased a new battery and delivered my original battery to them when I brought in the bike on September 6th. It has now been 4 months and I have attempted to contact them 5 times as to the status of this warranty issue. On each of my 5 attempts, either in person or by telephone, I was astonished by the response of the service manager. He showed a total lack of concern and gave me the impression that he was annoyed that I was bothering him with this issue, On my first attempt I was told “We are just too busy to deal with it”. On my second and third attempts I was told “She’s not here and and it’s not my job to deal with warranty issues. She will call you back”. On my last two attempts I was told “Kawasaki is giving us a hassle with it”. It has now been over 4 months and I have yet to receive one return phone call on my 5 requests for status.My point is this. It is not the $90 I had to pay out of pocket for something that clearly is covered under a warranty, it is the way I have been treated over the past 4 months. In my opinion, a dealership is a place that I am loyal to because I can rely for their expertise for maintenance andrepairs, accessory purchases and the purchase of a new machine when I am ready. Treating customers like garbage is no way to earn this loyalty.
I first met with Jim May. He was patient and answered all my questions. When I returned the following day, I dealt with Tee Caldwell. Since Im new to NC, Tee explained the registration and tax process in detail. He also answered all my questions. Both Jim and Tee definitely knew their product. Tee closed the deal with a very fair package. The paperwork process was quick and painless (thanks to Brian Dudley). From shaking hands to getting keys in hand took less than two hours.Went to the parts department where everyone appeared friendly. Tee also introduced me to the service lady - hope my experience there will match, if not exceed what I got in Sales!On delivery, Tee went over all the paperwork, then described in detail all the features. He also recommended a route back home. I was loathing the thought of taking the two highways back home, so the back roads was a much safer option. Very considerate of him to think of that.This experience was in contrast to what I found in other local dealerships. One blatantly lied about having a motorcycle in stock when they didnt. Another one had very high fees - totaling about $1000-. Salesman wouldnt budge. Then the Agusta dealer only had one on the floor (but the staff was very nice).
The friendly staff was a joy to deal with, Mike Treki in sales was very easy to work with and showed me the bike I wanted. Mike set me up with exactly what I was looking for. Mike exceeded my expectations, he also introduced me to Ross in the parts department, he also went above and beyond to appease my wants and inquiries . MFM is a nice place to work with, I guess you could say it was FUN.
Fast, to the point, Honest people! Frank and Tee helped me out, But Brain set me up for success. I told him what i was looking for in numbers and he crushed it. All I can say is go to matthews fun machines and ask for Brian Dudley. I bet your walk out with a bike, atv, or jet ski, but most of all a huge smile and a great deal!

Update: got a call from these clowns today accusing me of being a liar on what I said in regards to RPM1... HEY clowns...I wouldnt have purchased RPM1 wheel and tire coverage of I was told I would have to pay first then get reimbursed at a later date. FYI The next morning I went to a different dealership and they took care of my flat I didnt have to pay first then get reimbursed. CLOWNS....My bike caught a flat on 485 exit 52 rode to the dealership got there 5:54pm had to run to cycle gear to get a innertube before being told that it would be put on in the morning... Why did I go to get an innertube if its not being done till the morning???? 🤬🤬🤬Oh and they sell RPM1 insurence and dont know how to make a claim, and tell their customers they have to first pay and RPM1 reimburse the customer.

Worst experience I have ever had! Not recommend to go to this place. I got my sea-doo with the trailer which had different wheels. How good professionals can assemble a trailer with 2 different wheels and tires? I called and specifically asked for the wheel I wanted be replaced but they dont listening to me. Plus they wrong advertise extra warranty, which I cant have because of rebates they used to get the lower price. Very confusing and not clear.
Great service department went in for inspection and was told 1/2 hour and sure enough I out the door in 1/2 hour
Took a bike in for repair, took them 2 weeks to even look at it, then they gave us ripoff price so we opted to wait. Went to pick up the bike and they gave it back still taken apart after paying their diagnostic fee of $100 !!!! Who does that??? When you take your car for repair they put it back together whether they repair it or not.... will NEVER buy anything from this place nor repairs!! They act like they care less if youre even there.
Sales was great. My issue is the safety of the machines they are putting out the door. At 540 miles I changed oil and inspected the bike. What I found was not good. Both front axial pinch bolts where loose to where I removed them with my fingers and axial had started to back out. Service manager stated Well it is a new bike and things tend to come loose. One bolt I would have agreed, both bolts simply means they pencil whipped the inspection. Do not buy here if you value your safety!

Fantastic dealership to work with. Went in looking for a new sportbike for me and ended up getting a new Ninja 400 for my wife. T took care of us, and was completely honest about what bike I should (and shouldnt) be getting on. He seemed thoroughly interested in our outcomes and riding experiences so far and offered up some additional training schools for dirt riding and track riding. Will be heading back to pick up and Aprilia hopefully in 2019
