I saw this post on FB my sister in law posted. Shes big on supporting her community. Im supporting her by posting her comment. I will not be shopping at Roses Discount Store any more and hope you stop supporting them. There are two Roses stores in Charlotte, one on the Plaza and one on Freedom Drive. These two stores are patronized mostly by brown skin people.I need to let you know these stores do not care about your community. It appears they only want the money. I approached them about supporting our National Night out. I did everything their management told me to do. I created the letter, delivered it to the store and went back on the day I was told to go and was told “You need to go through our corporate office, better still goggle them. I must say I was not happy. So, I googled them got the number, explained to their Consumer Affairs Dept what happened. She told me “I am so sorry that happened, fax me your letter and I will take care of it. “ I told her the event is Tomorrow, maybe what you donate can go toward our next event.The day before the event I get a call but I did not recognize the number.So, I checked my voice mail and it was a message from Roses to call them. I returned the call and informed them the event had passed but would still accept what you can give.I want the people who shop in Roses to know that the said the most they could give us (Mind you I told them it was three neighborhoods combined doing the event) was 10% of what ever we buy. I was shocked, I even said us that the most you can give and she said yes. Now if my math us correct 10% of $100.00 is $10.00THAT IS WHAT OUR BUSINESS MEANS TO ROSES!!How much do you think brown and black people spend in Roses during any holiday not counting every day?Sorry it is long but I had to let you know. We have got to stop supporting those who don’t care to support us.

Good prices,always go there for Brachs candies,can not find find it no where,Rosses always got it,good prices

One associate had NO mask, lots of the associates up front had masks below nose, there were MOUSE TRAPS ON THE SHELVES.

As a truck driver, this is a fantastic stop. I delivered to this store this morning. The manager and crew were amazing. Fast, polite, efficient and gracious. I wish every stop was like this one. Thanks for treating me so well, you have no idea how rare that is.

I really like Roses, they have a wide assortment of clothing for the entire family. If you enjoy gardening, youll find decoratve things for your yard, flower pots, toys and games for the kids. Wall decor, christian themed and otherwise. Men can find useful items for there car or handy man items as well! Youll find something for the entire house at Roses! 😁

I like roses because it is good for the budget, you can find almost every thing for the family and home. Layaway,is good for single moms,and two parent households to provide nice things such as clothes and food for their families. Ive been going to Roses for years and when they close a store down it really is sad because it helps many people.

I love shopping at Roses I can always find great home decor at a reasonable prices. I wish there was another location in the north Charlotte area. If not I believe this store gets enough revenue from there customers for a remodel of the store. You will encourage other retailers to come and restore this shopping center and increase the stores revenue even more.

Service was good. I had a over 60 day return but I was still allowed to find some other things so that I didnt waste my money. That was greatly appreciated!!

Thrifty version of a Big Lots store. Various departments including selection of very inexpensive (disposable almost) clothing. Its almost a cross between a big lots and a dollar tree. Always friendly staff at this store.

I have loved Roses Department stores since I was a kid in the 70s. But the staff at this store location isnt exactly courteous or helpful. But overall they gave me the nostalgia feeling of shopping with my parents and grandparents in Belmont, NC.

This place is just disgusting! I went to the bathroom and there was poop on the ground and now I cant get the image out of my head! All the stalls were gross! Also, the place is disorganized and some things dont even have the tag on it! I got some boots and it didnt even say the price so they just told us some number! Shouldnt of took it! Although it is a very bad place they have good things to buy.

Save your money. Why did i go here and there is 6 employees in front. And only two registers are open and the employee tells me too pick a line. Why when theres 30 customers in line. Open one lazy is what i call it. She was more interested in what time she got off rather then giving customer service. This is a job that pays with MY hard earned money. Fire them all. Even the manager because she saw how long the lines were and cared less. Ive never waited 30 mins in a line before.

It use to be Plaza Marketplace flea market. This store is awful really if you have bags you have to put them at the cashier area for them to watch it. They give you a ticket while you shop. The restroom is horrible and you have to call an employee to open the fitting room door. I dont buy anything at that store. The whole shopping complex is horrible kids asking for money and people standing around the entrance. You dont feel safe here!

Love this discount store but wish they were located in better places. You can find some really nice things at really nice prices here..youd be surprised.

I love going to this roses...the store is well stocked and they have more options then other stores.

When ever I go here the workers are always so nice and helpful to me. Love this store keep up the good work.

I was in this store on 05/26/2015 and was checked out at 2:50 pm.I bought 13 items but when I got home that evening only to realize that my 2 packs of pens and my 6 cans of vienna sausage was missing.So I drive all the way on the other side of town to get the left items.The then manager on duty Ms. Dee looked at my receipt and said I would have to come back tommorow because she didnt know how to run the security tape back.So I call the store manager this morning and he tells me he would need a hard copy of the receipt in order to track these items.My point to this is really?It has to be a better way because why should I have to run back and forth on a mistake that this cashier made.This is lousy customer service and I never had to go through this. To get items that I purchase and didnt receive.I asked the manager could I just email him receipt, so he can look so i could just come back to get the items and leave.He said no I would have to come in and bring it in.This cashier had to realize at some point that I didnt get these items.Now I have to go out of my way to get these itiems.

Terrible customer service they dont even greet you at the register. Nobody ever asks to assist you with ANYTHING. If you have to ask them they act bothered. They need to start over this store has gone down within the last two years.

My friend brought my Christmas tree and decorations from here and I got some food items that they had.
