Omg so rude. I called to ask about consigning items. The lady cut me off in the middle of speaking like “let me stop you right there.” Excuse me? Also apparently they no longer accept clothing - hey why not update your website. I have a bunch of designer purses to consign that I’ll be taking elsewhere!

Ive worked in the area for nearly a decade and am a regular consignment shopper - preferring the Dallas and Palm Beach stores to the more stuffy options in our area. Having just found Chic to Chic today, I must say that they are truly a diamond in the rough. Its a modestly sized store with big finds at reasonable prices. The store manager, sales rep. and owner were all quite lovely. After telling them my desire for a blue and green tweed blazer, they helped me find a perfectly tailored Isael Marant one to meet my needs.Im very pleased with the quality of items, the prices and the great staff...I think that you will be too!PS-Its a little out of the way but worth the drive from DC and surrounding areas. Good retail therapy:-)

We have shopped at high end consignment stores across the DMV as well as Florida and New York and this place is the best one we have been to! A whole table of Chanel shows! 3 racks of fur coats! Rows of designer shoes and denim! Everything sized, clean, excellent condition, and priced so low! The icing on the cake was the amazing knowledgeable and helpful sales associates team! The owner also had a 20 % off sale on everything! Best item from our haul was $112 for almost New Prada Heels! I will be back every weekend!!

So there is decidedly an air of condescension there, as several other reviewers on yelp have noticed. I used to visit way more often, but the Real Real is more fun and offers more options without the snotty attitude. I went in to co-sign some stuff and I was pleased that they accepted most of it. I was not happy with the way that my attempts to explain different aspects about the clothes (that I bought and cared for) were dismissed. I was cut off and shooed away. This was not a good experience.The employees at Chic to Chic are typically bare minimum polite. They do this “no look” acknowledgement when you enter the store, where each one musters her most peppy voice and says some form of hello and welcome. But if you asked anyone of them to name something that you were wearing not one would have an answer. If your brand is upscale fashion, you should understand your customer. We like to talk about designers and interesting fashion finds. We like to talk about what or who we might be wearing today. This is not advice to give those empty insincere compliments that so many people give in other retail places. You need an evidenced based honest comment. But alas they are much more engaged with discussions with each other. If only they could turn that piqued interest in the direction of the customers.Don’t get me wrong I have had pleasant exchanges in the past. There was once a guy who worked there who was funny and charming and good at making me spend my money. He’s been gone for several years. When you think about what this place has to compete with Poshmark, RealReal, Rebag, Luxury Garage Sale, you have to think what advantages do they have over these sites. The answer is only one thing, the human beings in the store, and if they don’t invest in making sure the employees are good brand ambassadors I fear the days are numbered.My advice is to listen too the AirBNB episode of the Masters of Scale podcast (the theme is customer experience.PSIf the people at C2C are upset with me over my review. That’s also part of the problem.
