OH MY GOD!!! I will admit that seeing them prepare my donut on the spot got me skeptical of its quality, but boy was I naive. The donut was everything and more than I could have wanted. It was in my hand one second and gone the next. My biggest regret was not ordering more! I cannot tell you enough how good the donut was, but the best way to find out is to try this cool place out.

This is definitely a place you should stop for dessert. I dont hear a lot of people talk about this place after a year and half of Charlotte living and I dont understand why, this place was fantastic.I usually take a pass when it comes to donuts, but these ones are worth the calories. This place is a LITERAL hole in the wall, the donuts are fresh, warm, soft on the inside, and slightly crisp on the outside. Added bonus: the staff was so nice and bubbly, plus the prices are modest.

It is literally a hole in the wall so its easy to miss. Great fresh made doughnuts. I would eat here everyday if I lived nearby.

Good things come is small packages!!! These beautiful, delicious petite little bundles of joy are some of the BEST donuts we have ever tasted! So sorry we missed the Maple Bacon while we were in town visiting family, but when we come again, we will be on the lookout. No flavor is inferior to another. They are all amazing!

My wife stopped for herself and the kids and I didn’t want anything — that was until I saw the fresh doughnuts come out, steaming in the middle when broken open. I had a cinnamon sugar and it was the best cinnamon doughnut I’ve ever had 😍 Also have to leave a word about the staff — A+ rating

I’m just going to start by saying that I personally don’t enjoy doughnuts that much but these were freakin’ delicious 👅💦 and have made me realize that there are indeed good doughnuts in the world. Reigning Doughnuts 🍩 is a little, warm hole in the wall located in the NODA area of Charlotte. Your doughnuts are made to order, they will ALWAYS be fresh (so expect a short wait). I tried the Honey Glazed doughnut and the Cream Cheese & Blueberry doughnut. The Honey Glazed was okay, but the CC&B literally made me jazz for joy. So soft, fluffy, fresh, and firm. The only thing that sucks is the CC&B isn’t available everyday since that’s the doughnut for the day on Wednesday’s... so do take note that there’s a speciality doughnut based on the day. Ugh, I would’ve eaten more but I wouldn’t have been able to fit my pants... Also, the two people serving there were friendly and answered all of my questions. 🙂Prices:Single (1) doughnut: $1.49 + taxDozen (12) doughnuts: $16.00 + taxSeriously, stop living through my posts and go try one. So good I’ve been here twice in the past week! We’ve tried the chocolate and vanilla icing and love that the donuts are served hot. The walk up window makes it so convenient for grabbing my morning coffee, even while walking the dog.

Really unique place to buy donuts and coffee .. I got the apple pie donut and cinnamon sugar donute .. highly recommend!.

Loved the chocolate glazed donut. I am definitely going back for more. The attendant was very friendly. The only issue was that my coffee was cold and a bit bitter like it had been sitting for awhile. Definitely going back for a box of donuts.

Solid donuts. About 6 or so to choose from. We had the honey glazed and a cinnamon sugar. They have a windows that your order from with minimal outdoor seating. Its located in a nice area, so you could easily walk around and explore or find a bench to sit on.

Hands-down best donuts in Charlotte! Every time we have friends or family in town we always get a dozen! We even had a friend request to bring her some when we went and visited her in another state.

These are top notch doughnuts! I got a Pecan Pie and Honey doughnut. They had a nice crunch and fluffy, airy center. Highly recommended!

Most of the donuts were very good, they are thick and flavorful. My favorite was the cinnamon sugar. The service was kind. You do wait a little bit but it is worth it for a hot, fresh donut. We paid for one of each including the seasonal one but once we got back to eat them, we had only received 7 so that was a little bit of a bummer.

Fresh cake doughnuts with rotating specialty toppings. Donuts are cooked fresh when ordered. On 2/13 i throughly enjoyed the pistachio and rose iced and the lemon poppy seed. Sometimes they offer savory toppings like hot sauce and chicken skin. Not sure that flavor is for me but it sure is creative.

I have been wanting to try these donuts since this place opened, but NoDa isnt a very convenient location for me. We were having lunch in the area so we stopped by to get some dessert.Its just a window in the side of a building that you walk up and order at. The donuts are made fresh right there for you.We got a lemon poppyseed and a honey glazed. They were both fantastic. They were light and flakey. You really cant beat a warm donut.They only have a handful of flavors and one special that rotates daily.Im a big fan of the local donut shops and I have to say that I think this is now my favorite. If youre a fan of donuts, you should definitely check this place out!

It’s a little corner bakery you order from outside. They have a few different options for donuts and they make them fresh for you and they’re still warm. They are on the smaller side tho and a bit dry too. Overall they’re just okay

For such a small storefront, this place has a significant impact on early morning options for the neighborhood. The donuts are crisp and steamy with no unnecessary frills. I really liked the chocolate and vanilla frosting, but everything was great.

Good Stuff! Excellent staff and the doughnuts were delicious. Don’t expect a place to sit because it’s a walk up, so be prepared. Also, they only take card which is awesome in my book. The staff was very patient when we walked up and needed some time to decide what we wanted.

6/2/2018I saw this place on Charlotte agenda and wanted to give it a try. I took my nephew with me and we both loved it. I got a cinnamon sugar doughnut as well as a chocolate icing doughnut. He has two vanilla icing doughnuts. This is literally a hole in the wall quick stop for doughnuts and they are delicious!! What a cool little place in NODA! They also serve coffee iced and hot, hot chocolate, and milk.There is no where to sit and this is only a walk up to a window type of place.

Delicious donuts convenient for late night snacks! Cake style so dont look for Krispy Kreme style donuts but, do not think for an instant that you will regret these warm, sweet pillowy treats!P.S. Sorry for not showing the whole dozen.. I couldnt resist!

Fresh off the fryer donuts with a bunch of different donuts to try. Service was friendly and quick considering I bought a dozen. I will definitely be coming again! Odd hours though and only takes card.

Whatever you do, don’t order their hot chocolate. We paid for hot chocolate and received what was clearly hot water and cheap, powdered mix. To add insult to injury, the “hot and fresh doughnut” was, in fact, room temp and stale.

Not too bad. Not too good. Inconsistent. Thats a big issue. Went this morning expecting hot donuts, planned on eating them in the car, ordered right when I got there, and to my surprise I get greeted by cold donuts in the car. If you do end up going I recommend the honey glaze donut. Its the only flavor that I like. My favorite place for donuts by far is Your Moms Donuts in Matthews.

A great place for a snack, although if you come on a weekend you may have to wait a while for your donut. (15mins or more) MY favorite flavor is the cinnamon sugar. The donuts are fresh and made to order.

Extremely delicious doughnuts!! Crunchy on the outside and soft/moist on the inside! I got there right before they closed and got the last doughnuts of the day and they still tasted fresh!! If they had still be open, I would’ve went back for seconds!!

Hot Doughnut window, whats not to love?!

I love this little whole in the wall and I try to support them as much as I can, even if the coffee is overpriced...But this morning I got a fresh brewed batch of coffee and it is undrinkable. It is not the first time the coffee haven’t been good but at least it has been ok to drink. Today I came home and I had to pour two cups down the drain, after trying milk and even more water. Way too strong, like they have used two bags of coffee to 1 cup of water ratio. Please change the way you make the coffee and educate the staff that are making it.

It was a nice experience with a pleasant neighborhood vibe. People waiting are all friendly and the layout encourages conversing. The donut size was a little surprisingly small but I didnt mind. The taste is wonderful. Also it was a good choice having counter culture coffee as their bean of choice. All in all Im glad it is here!

This is a cool little hole in the wall donut Shop. You order from outside on the sidewalk. They prepare your donut while you wait, so its really fresh and hot when you get it or them. They have several interesting combinations and all the ones I tried were very good. There is a bit of a wait depending on how many other people are there because you have to stand in line to place your order. But I have to say it was worth the wait!

These are the best doughnuts in Charlotte! They make them fresh for you when you order so they come out hot and delicious. Its easy to miss them as its literally a hole in the wall. Theyre a little pricy and dont hold up well the next day so skip the dozen and just have a few fresh ones that day instead. We enjoyed all of the flavors we tried but vanilla iced with sprinkles was my favorite.

It was a cold night and the women behind the window apologized for the wait and gave me a free coffee. Im from central NY here for the Hot rod Power tour and wanted a cup of coffee and some fresh donuts and found the place on Maps. When there are 20 people standing in line by a window it must be great and they are. Fresh, hot and delicious.

I sent my husband for donuts. The chocolate glazed donuts would have been good had they not been wrapped in a seperate bag within another sack. The donuts are made to order but instead of using a box they use a small bag to wrap each donut. We bought 4 chocolate donuts and all were plain by the time we unwrapped them because the chocolate was on the paper bag and not on the donut. A box may not cost you guys much. We will never be back because we rarely eat donuts and two everyone I know will provide a box so the toppings do not come off the donut. It was a ripoff to get plain donuts instead of chocolate.

I would be so fat if I lived nearby. Made to order hot donuts. Sometimes you come across a thing of beauty in this world and you just have to stop and appreciate it. So stop here and appreciate it.

Anyone giving this place fewer than 5 stars clearly has no idea what donuts are. These are the best donuts youll ever. I ordered two and almost finished them before I reached the coffee shop a block away, then went back for another after. The only time I wouldnt recommend this place is if youre on a diet - they will ruin you.

This place is amazing! Literally a window with a couple of picnic tables. The donuts were so fresh and tasty! Peanut Butter icing with Banana Chips flavor was out of this world!

Happened upon this place by accident, but I’m glad I did.This place is window service only. Order your made to order donut, pay (card only) and then wait for them to make them. It does take awhile for them to make the donuts but fresh donuts are worth it.Donuts are small (about the size of an orange) and cost $1.20. They have about 7 donuts daily, with one of them rotating daily.They close around 11am and reopen in the evening.Def will be coming back to try the coffee.

Seriously, the most delicious dounuts ever!!! Such a cute little spot too. You might need to walk around to find it because its hard to spot via car. This is a great neighborhood for walking though. PS. The hot chocolate will blow your mind.
