I love to get all of my childhood European candy and sweets from here. All their food is amazing and most of it is fresh. The staff is so kind!

In the whole Mecklenburg county area this is the only store where you will find real Russian and eastern European food. We take a drive of 1 hour just to get snacks and drinks from this store. The selection of chocolates, snacks, drinks and teas is wonderful. I love to assemble chocolate baskets for my friends with lots and lots of different chocolates. They have the best brands for bread sticks a great quality fruit teas.

The owner is REALLY RUDE. Treats those workers really poor. Yells like crazy at his workers. Seems like someone has mental issues.

Honestly, this place surpassed my expectations. Service was outstanding. Assortment is huge - even some products from my home state in Russia, which I haven’t seen in other Russian stores. Everything is super fresh and up to date. Definitely coming back again. Awesome job folks - this place is a gem!

Loved the different candies I purchased and if I lived nearby, I would shop there for my regular groceries. The staff was also very pleasant and made a lot of great recommendations for the cadies I was looking for.

We had such a great experience at this store today! Very clean and shelves are full of yummy European foods. The two ladies working at the store were super-nice and sweet, and so kind towards children. Highly recommend!

I am so dissatisfied. I drove 4 hours to the store, and they forgot so many my items what I was going to purchase. Items at the receipt don’t have any names and you don’t know if you were charged and didn’t receive your product, or they just forgot, period. Will not go again. Most interesting part! They have my phone number because I called about forgotten items and clarification on receipt, after this review they sent me nasty text and harassed me. Way to go! Typic Soviet Union service experience. Wow

Excellent selection of European foods. Great customer service. Definitely going back and taking a cooler with me, the deli meat selection is outstanding!

This is the first time I have shopped at this place and now I know where I can get all of my European products from. It is like stepping into a shop in Europe. The deli meat selection is amazing. Make sure to buy some of the Salo because its amazing., along with the Polish kielbasa.

This is a fantastic Russian grocery store. I visited it for the first time today after reading the mixed reviews on google and Yelp.The people are friendly and helpful. It is quite unfortunate that Americans are giving such low ratings due the fact that the owners have a mandatory mask mandate and request the use of hand sanitizer.One must understand that the American attitude of “customer is always right” and store employees doting upon rude customers is a purely American phenomenon- it is not this way in other countries and is certainly not this way in Russia.If you do not enter with an attitude of entitlement and instead humble yourself a bit to experience a taste of the rich culture and foods of Russia, you will not be so disappointed.P.S. the array and variety of products here are quite rare, and high quality, difficult to find this selection in other Russian store.Overall, i would highly recommend it.

Moved from WA, I was shocked with treatment in this Russian store. All Russian store in Vancouver, WA allow everyone mask or no mask, (because they are useless).I thought only Costco has gestapo rules about masks. This store went up and beyond requiring using hand sanitizer, which is more dangerous then effective to kill the virus (Im a nurse I do my research). Hand washing is a most effective way, so provide soap and water, not toxic useless hand sanitizer. Never will shop there, unless they change their rules.

They have a variety of russian / european beers and wines. They also have a great selection of salamis and sausages, candies and teas. They are always friendly and helpful.

Great selection of Eastern European food. Very nice owners and staff. 5-stars all around.

They wiped down the carts,had hand sanitizer,clean bathrooms and they were helpful and friendly. I will be back. I love their food. Like the deserts and the french and german Salami and other things also. They cost a little more but its worth it. The flavor is so tasty.

Come with your own scale! Posting the picture below, check out the weight and the price. The product is overweighted by $5. I went ahead and returned to the store to get things straightened out. Customer service provided by the store owner was incredibly unprofessional and rude. Yet, I got the price difference returned, but no apologies were sent my way. I advised the store owner about possible reviews, and she literally said that she doesnt care about. the cashier was really nice and apologized right away and asked me to come back. However, Id like to avoid this store moving forward. This review is just to warn you about weight lies. Be careful and pay more attention.

The best selection of amazing food. Must see and buy some great eats! Meats. Bread. Grain. Drinks. Beer. Vine. Candy. Preserved goods.Cooler, freezer and dry storage merchandise.

This market has a large selection of eastern European groceries. The edibles include a wonderful selection of deli meats, cheeses, pickles, and my favorite a selection of rich rye bread . Other items include wines, sweets, and imported tins of fish and other meats. If youre having a get-together with friends come by here and purchase a few delicious items that you would rarely see in the Charlotte area.

Definitely a place to return to for delightful desserts. All Eastern European Sweets and salty foods. But hand picked by the owner. Just note, that the loose candies are (not marked as such) by the pound. I give it only four stars for being so small. But the Elite Choice of items makes up for it.

I LOVE this newer, bigger, renovated place so much better than their last one. Cleaner, three isles instead of one, therefore there times more product options. Food from all over Eastern Europe, from the few labels I red: Russian, Polish, Moldovan/Romanian, Azerbaijan, and many others. They even have a small section for wine bottles from the Russian winery I had the privilege of seeing in Chapel Hill. Fresh dairy products and sausages in the deli section. Bigger bear selection, a ton of jarred goods and a heavenly Lage section of tea varieties.So excited the are at a more accessible location. Oh yes, and the best thing! The owner was there, stocking sheds WITH her kids! She came up to me said hello with a bug smile offered help. She is super kind, genuine and warm hearted. And her worker/employee lady was really nice as well. Simple people that showed great American style customer service. I am definitely going back there more often!

Best European/Russian store in Charlotte!Have ran into near expired or expired products IN OTHER European stores in Charlotte. But this store has been good!Prices are kinda high tho!Need some coupons in my mail, they will see buying Kalbasa more often lol

Some of the produce is not fresh and questionable whether it is safe to eat it or not. They will let you taste test a product that is fresh but what you bring home is not fresh. When I called and questioned them about it they were extremely rude and said that they for bid me to purchase at their store. These people have absolutely no no knowledge of what customer service is. In my opinion they really need to get a visit from the health department for safety reasons.

Overpriced food with a terrible quality. Been twice there, second time was a last straw. Bought canned fish and almost poisoned to death. Got some russian kielbasa which was smelling terribly foul. Never again!!!

Great store featuring European foods; everything from Polish, Russian, Romanian, Bulgarian, and others. Great selection of meat and cheeses in the deli. The lady who helped me out let me sample more than I probably should have in the deli. I had to buy a little of everything because it was so good

To all the people that don’t understand the Russian culture and leave bad reviews : “In Soviet Russia YOU need to be nice to the cashier“. Even in chain supermarkets here in the US you can run into stuff that’s expired and not fresh. It is your responsibility to check what you’re buying. Even though the staff could be nicer, one should understand and adjust to the cultural aspects of a place they go to. Most russian people don’t usually smile at people they don’t know and will talk strictly about business.

If you havent ever shopped at this food store, you will definitely want to visit them at their shiny new location at Crown Point near the corner of Sardis and Monroe. This spacious new store is bright and clean and chock full of all sorts of delicious foods that are important staples in many East European countries. But dont worry, they have the same helpful and friendly staff that will help you to taste a large variety of fresh deli meats, sausages and cheese and then slice them to order. Some of our favorite foods include the pelmeni dumplings, chocolate wafer cookies, and pickled herring as well as the huge assortment of chocolate candies. We have been shopping here for 15 years and so very thrilled that they have moved closer to our home.

What a wonderful experience! I just visited A&A and the staff was amazing they made me feel right at home and extremely helpful. Food is delicious and fresh with a variety of choices. I highly recommend this store to anyone wanting a taste of international delicatessens.

I usually don’t bother the leave negative reviews for bad experienceBut this time I’m.-bad costumer satisfaction-owner refuse to understand that I have breathing problems-made me wear mask, which I did-the reason for 1 star review is because owner do not care about costumer that have exemption.

We are regular customers at the store and always had a great experience with it. The products are fresh and tasty, and the sausage sold there is the only kind that our picky toddler would eat, which is saying a lot. The staff is professional, friendly and eager to help by either providing a recommendation or even giving a taste (if it is something from the deli department). One one occasion, a couple of the chocolate bars that we bought were slightly beyond the expiration date, but come on, its chocolate - it made no difference to quality or taste. Where it matters (e.g. meats, cheese or fish), the products were always fresh. I recommend this store to all my friends in Charlotte who miss the taste of European foods.

Would be a 5 star if they would have a bakery or made some fresh pirojki goodies. Very friendly people. Good selection of deli meats, frozen foods, wines, candies and other things including a little pharmacy where you can find citramon or other pills youre familiar with.

All beef salami is the best weve ever had. Great bread from Lithuania and Latvia. Authentic pierogis.!

Good place for Russian, Ukrainian, Polish (Slavic) food. Also includes a medicine counter. There is food from Romania, Estonia, Germany.

I been looking for a store with some German items. I’m found it, not only do they have some German lunch meats, but also some Dr. Oetker spices. I am definitely sold on this store, plus the service is great.

The new location is absolutely gorgeous. Everyone is super friendly. They always have whatever I am looking for. Always look forward to coming here.

I called to ask if they had something I was looking for and whoever answered the phone was very rude and she deliberately hanged up in my ears when I was still talking very rude.. Thats not how you treat someone who brings money to your business I will never step my foot there again and I will tell everyone I know all my African friends and family never to go there to shop... This little store is so reminiscent of the little stores in Latvia and eastern Europe. They have yummy cured meats, pickled vegetables, frozen honeycake, Kvass, beers, and candy. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Horrible customer service and overpriced products. Their prices are almost 2x more than any other european deli store. They also scam customers with manipulated scales and most of their products are expired, they just keep changing the expiration dates.

Found farmers cheese, euro cream, a good variety of cured meats, candy. Happy to live very close to it and the staff is awesome!
