This is a Warning to anyone who may want to purchase parts at the Charlotte scooter shop.On 4/17/2018 I have paid $418.01 in cash for replacement parts for my Beatbox 2 TaoTao 2017. It took them 2 months for half of the parts show up and when they did show up I had to contact them to find out if the parts showed up or not.Eventually half of the parts showed up and was install onto my moped. They say they will contact me when the ATM50 Front Fender & Right Rear Brake Lever for ATM50 will shows up.its been a month and a half and the still havent contact me I want my money back for those parts.Just to let you know I will be contacting the shop tomorrow since they never contact me.
Sells cheap scooters. Says work on all brands including name brand scooters but dont take them there. Service department is weak. Changes mechanics frequently. My own experience with the service department just to change the rear tire was poor at best. The really only good thing about this place is its location near Central and the Plaza.
Excellent dealer. Great Service, bought several scooters from them over the years. Always did right by me. Never heard any cursing from the mechanics. Staff has been excellent. Ordered parts from them and always got it at a fair price.
As far as Im concerned this man is lower then ant 💩 paid him the money to do the work in a time period He wanted I am two and a half two three weeks out without my scooter this must be the biggest piece of low-life 💩 in you have cost me more money than I ever expected I had to spend over this getting around either walking or bicycling or catching a bus andUber what I recommend your shop to anyone hell no you a liar and a thief
This shop was amazing when I was living in Charlotte. I had my moped serviced all the time from them. Good prices and the guys were nice about everything.I head they are selling the place so it wont be around long tho so be sure to get your moped ready for the winter before they leave.
These guys did a great job. I needed a new tire and was informed to come in before 4 if I needed it same day as they had lots of work. They got the job done in little more than an hour and no troubles with the new tire at all.The service was excellent, very respectful and honest. The library is right across the street for quite reading or internet access while you wait.AAA+++
Ive been getting treated amazingly since day one going here about a scooter. i bought one for my husband and he loves it. Jomathan is great and answered every single question I had. Plan on getting myself one soon
Charlotte Scooter Shop took great care of my Stella. I like to work on my bike myself but when it broke down near the shop, their knowledge won me over. I ended up having additional work done as well. Good guys.
Mike Brabham and his entire team and Charlotte Scooter Shop are first class. They had the best price by far, but more than that I felt like I was family. I would highly recommend everyone to go see Mike and his team.
This place is a cash scam. Do not go here ro repair your scooter. I blame myself for not listening to my gut feelings about repairing our scooter here so we will chalk it up to living and learning but must post this warning to others. I repeat do not take your motorized vehicles here. You will be scammed and your vehicle will not be repaired. My next stop is the BBB to file a complaint.
Good for parts. Now demolished for condos
DO NOT GIVE YOUR SCOOTER, EQUIPMENT OR MONEY TO THIS BUSINESS. Ive been trying to get my scooter back for 3 months. Last I saw the owner, he was standing out front, reeking of alcohol and the shop and his personal vehicle had clearly been vandalized. I demanded my scooter, he said ok and then got in his car and sped away and never returned to the shop. Hes called me incoherent and sounding high, hes called in the middle of the night and not left messages. Now he hangs up or sends me to a full voicemail. Cops last week said I was their 6+ call, that multiple customers are trying to get their bikes back, that the owner is a relapsed addict. If this is ever resolved, I will adjust my review. Until then - if you are a fellow customer trying to get your bike back, feel free to contact me through Google/Gmail. Ill tell you what I have learned. Ive taken my scooter here for annual service for 3 years - never saw this coming. (Update: I did get my scooter back. Non operational but at least no worse than when I brought it in. Will never return. The level of drama, distress and danger it took to get the bike back was unreal. I wish the owner well and hope he can recover his life and business.)
Great service and reasonable prices. Be prepared for a wait on your repairs though, due to a backlog of work. But they kept me apprised of costs and kept to the initial time estimate.
I didnt love it . Its better than nothing, I guess
The best service on a motor vehicle I have ever had! Johnathan stayed in constant contact with me about my Vespa repair and it was done in a timely manner. I had another problem with it after the initial repair and he picked it up, and delivered it back to me free of charge. Only charged me for part for second repair. He even called 2 days later to make sure my Vespa was working satisfactorily! I would definitely do business here again.
Called about a part that had to be returned because it was wrong. They told me they had no record of it, even though I had the invoice. I paid $85 for an ignition, and it was the wrong one. One person took it and said he would order the correct one. I called to get a status update, and the person on the phone told me there was no way they didnt have it in stock because most Chinese manufactured scooters used the same parts. This was not the case as was previously established by his coworker. I took it upon myself to drive across town with the invoice to jog his memory, and upon him calling a coworker, he was able to produce my correct ignition that was in a box on his desk. I had my 4 year old child with me and the men in the back of the shop continued to use vulgor language in plain view of my son. The place is disgusting and they run a terrible business. Lock your car and leave valuables out of sight before going inside as well, just a recommendation.
Really rude owner. Doesnt take anything but cash, and doesnt even sell you a scooter with a full tank of gas. Lots of little rude things he did. Be very careful with what you buy from them.
I go to charlotte scooter all the time. The last time i was there getting my bike worked on i ordered a new helmet from Jonathan.he told me it would be in wednesday i have not received it yet and i have the receipt so either my helmet or my money back take ur choice
Got my first scooter here a couple years ago. Taking my new one here for service soon. Very pleasant to work with and gives tons of good info.
They not there any more dont go
Johnathan the owner is extreamly knowledgeable and will answer all questions you have!
I left 700$ there came back and they were honest and gave me my money back no funny businesse great shop I recommend you use these guys ask for Mike but all guys are great people!
Took my sons A TV here to be fixed due to when I called they said they had used parts and would be able to fix within timeframe I needed and for reasonable price. Whe. I dropped off, they notated specifically on invoice date needed back by as I was fixing for birthday present, he said he had no problem meeting deadline as it was a month away. I paid for diagnostic and he said they would call me after completing along with price to fix issues, needed new steering rod, possibly new front left side suspension components as son ran into play set and bent the rod or rim, etc.. also was not starting as gas line from tank to carb broke. After 2 weeks of not receiving call I contacted and was given run around, I called and texted with owner each week after that and continued to receive run around. They missed the deadline and I did not receive the ATV until 1 month later, upon picking up the front suspension is still bent, they only fixed the broke steering rod and my son took one trip around front yard and the bolts holding the tie rods either came off or was never put on amd he lost control and was unable or to steer. Checked all other nuts and they were all loose to the touch and no cotter pins were put back in, this is very negligent on their part as it is dangerous, they should go over these things as kids are riding these ATVs! Not sure if this is how they do all their business, this is just my experience and I can confidently say I WILL NOT BE BACK!
The worst. Had my bike for over 2 years and made excuse after excuse. Dont go there.
Service is very good, and I am always pleased with how they take care of my scooter.
Both times I went to have my scooter fixed it was closed. The 1st time I went they were closed because someone had broken in. After speaking with the owner he told me to come back next week and he would help me. I did as he asked and came back the following week and he was still closed but he was there and still offered no help or solutions. Ive spent more time and money taking my scooter back and forth to this shop and still he didnt even look at it.
Scooter shop did an awesome job fast very reasonable on the price I would definitely recommend them
I would give this shop 10 stars if i could. Since the day i rode my scooter off ive called the owner a thousand times to ask questions about my scooter down to what kinda oil to put in it at 730 am lol. :) But today he went above and beyond my scooter wouldnt start. (MY FAULT) He came picked my scooter up insured me that everything is ok and my cherry blossom would get fixed. I have to say that not only did i get my scooter from the right place but i bought it from someone that really cares about his costumers. And treats people right. And i gotta say the mechanics working there work hard to. Being a ball of nerves stopping by there they always always treat me super nice. Talk me thru what they are doing and help me understand what to do to keep my scooter running smooth. And they have a A+ on the B.B.B. This man is the one to go to to buy a scooter or get your scooter fixed by the mechanics that know what they are doing. GREAT GUYS IN THAT SHOP! HARD ASS WORKERS!
Look I called in asked what they had for my price range. Then boom I got it. The guy gave me no bs no crap. My overall experience was perfect! 20 min in and out... awesome sause! I hate coming to a place having some yuppy come try and sell me some overpriced splooge fest. Thanks guys for keeping it simple and keeping it real.
New or used hoverboards, atvs, scooters. Fast repair and maintenance work love it.
They serviced my 50cc Kymco and only problem they had was seating the new tire on the rear rim. Knocked the price way down and had to put a good used tire on. No problem. The other servicing was excellent and the scoot runs like it was brand new. Adjusted the brakes, serviced the engine, and the problem I was having with the electric start was diagnosed as a bad battery which Advance Auto replaced at no charge and now works perfectly. The scoot has a lot more pep and at least 7 more miles top end speed. Very satisfied. Theyre bringing in a better class of scoot as well having just signed to sell Kymco which should replace some of the off brand scoots on their lot.
Working with the Scooter Shop was truly a horrible experience. They were extremely rude, lied to us and, for one month, kept our scooter while looking for new things to fix. These costly and unnecessary repairs ended up totaling $575. When we were finally able to pick up the scooter, they neglected to attach the fuel hose (probably intentionally), so gasoline got into the carburetor as well as elsewhere in and on the vehicle. Another $50 for a new carburetor. They took no responsibility, offered no apologies and continued with their belligerent and dismissive behavior. Terrible place, terrible people.
Hey i was just in there with my jonway150cc they did a valve ajustment im aka jason smith. I wont lie when i first went there i wasnt pleased but i showed up with a bad attitude so they showed me one back. Listen the only reason posting this is because everyone has bad days. Everyone even a scooter shop there really here to help not hurt. Plus the owner continues to fire the missfits so always come back to central there cheaper then the rest and you get free ods and ins with a polite attitude. Ps i hated this shop at first but it was my only choice to take my scooter. I believe i was having a bad week so i guess i hated my scooter not the shop but these are real people cuss them out im pretty sure you might not like there response so stop talking trash if anyone had a real problem im pretty sure it was addressed
These people assured me they could fix my Honda. They said it would be ready the next day. I called the next day it wasnt ready. They, then said it would be ready the next day. This went on for about five days. Finally, I went to pickup the bike they said they fixed it. They had not. I took the bike back three times that day. It is still not fixed. THe shop is junky, crammed full of old bikes, and the people working their are rude. The mechanics are in the back throwing around tools and cursing violently. They also refuse to give refunds if they cannot fix your bike. SHADY!!!
This scooter shop is truly the worst! In the past 2 years I have visited 4xs and each experience is worse than the last. There is no customer service the employees are rude and uncaring. I finally just gave up on them and drove to Concord to Ride Now and purchased 2014 Zuma 125s. So for convenience I thought maybe I could buy accessories for my new scooters, mirrors, covers, locks, etc, still NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! They wont even acknowledge you so no chance them selling anything. Looked around since I could not get help and they had no good scooters to sell. Thanks for not helping me it looks like I dodged the bullet!
I brought in a scooter that has been sitting for a year without starting and didn’t have time to work on it myself. I paid what I think was $65 00 for a diagnostic to see if they could get it running. A month later and I had to call to see what was the diagnosis, and they haven’t gotten to my scooter yet. I stopped by a few more times the next few weeks on my way from work. Finally, the diagnosis was; We cleaned the carburetor, It won’t start and that it needs a new Carburetor because it is rusted out. HMM? I ask; isn’t the carb made of aluminum? I was told that it was the brass in the carb that was rusted!!!!! Well folks, I was in the NAVY and I can tell you brass doesn’t rust. I had them help me load up the bike, and as I was strapping it in I found out the carburetor was missing. The guy asked me if I wanted it put back in and I said “Well yeah!” These jerks said don’t bite my head off, this, after they tried to steal my carburetor and gave me a bum diagnostic. So I waited, and waited for them to find it. He installed it and in my hurry I didn’t notice that it was missing 1 gas hose and many body part screws from the scooter. It gets better. I took that carb apart and it was not cleaned, the float valve wouldn’t move, so I cleaned it with sea foam and carb cleaner. It had never been touched. ALSO; the battery had 1.5 volts on it. They never charged the battery to see if it would start. I don’t care if they only kick started it, they should have charged that battery. I charged it. Well, now I have a clean carb and 12 volts strong on the battery and it starts, just missing screws from multiple places. I t was a waste of time and money and parts to learn that Charlotte Scooter shop on Central avenue has terrible service and is unprofessional in every way.
First of all when you call the business the gentleman never says his name, you dont know who ur talking too, second I am supposed to retrieve my scooter tomorrow lets just see the out come stay tuned.
Took our money wasted our time i will never ever go back this place is a rip off they cant do a decent valve adjustments
Called this shop this afternoon (Thursday) and a woman who answered said the shop was open. I then rented a truck, loaded a 300 lb. scooter onto it and drove 9 miles to find the shop closed with an e-mail address for contact. Drove home, unloaded the scooter and went to pay the rental of $50.00. Am I pissed?
Bought the scooter there. good choice if you need one!
