Very good experience with this location. The store manager (I forgot his name unfortunately) was terrific on the phone and the lady that assisted me once I arrived (Heather, I believe) was extremely helpful. I originally reserved a trailer and after telling her what I was using it for she took the time show me the difference in the opening width of all the 6x12 trailers and if she didnt take that extra step to assist me with that then I would have wasted a 4 hour drive to Georgia because the item I was picking up would not have fit in my original choice. I had a great experience and would not hesitate to go back.

Reserved our truck for moving a week in advance. We also added movers through the website. The movers never called or replied to email to schedule so we had to find someone last minute. When we arrived at this uhaul location our truck had been given to someone else even though we had checked in online as instructed before arriving. We then had to drive thirty minutes to another uhaul location and delay our movers nearly two hours. Will never use this company again.

Heather and the crew here are super friendly and helpful! And Heather is hilarious. Will definitely rent from here again next time we need a truck.The only problem I had was the after hours self check to avoid the $20 fee... I tried to do the self check several times, but the uhaul site/app wasnt working and I kept getting errors. That is no ones fault at this location so Im not deducting any stars for it.

The truck was in good condition. The store manager is great but the other staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. Long wait time because its obvious theyre understaffed.

The staff were very friendly and had no problems installing my tow hitch. Despite being busy the day I was there, they finished pretty quickly and sent me a text when it was done! I would definitely go back to this location, I’m surprised at some of the negative reviews on here.

I just wrote a review and I hope it didn’t get lost! Heather was wonderful and kind. She made time for us and waited for us after a 12 hour drive from South Florida. This location was close to closing but we called and Heather waited. We were exhausted mentally and physically and it took so much weight off for her to take it earlier than the 4 days you are allotted with a trailer. Obviously, this time is dependent on your move and contract.She made us feel at home and made sure we had time to drop off the trailer so we weren’t charged $20 which can happen if you are renting a trailer (I don’t think the same applies for a truck).In my review that may be gone, I spoke about how important it was for me personally, to have hospitable people work for Uhaul. I have moved many times, whether for work or lifestyle and Uhaul despite being a franchise never disappoints when it comes to its staff. Moving is already stressful and Heather made our landing in Charlotte, NC great! We feel welcome and already part of a community.Thank you, Heather & Uhaul! The new general manager Denzell is great! He was so helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent customer service! He even helped us out together a couple of parts that we didn’t have tools at home for. Highly recommend!!

Based on previous ratings I almost did not come to this location, but Im happy I gave it a try as honestly it was the nearest location to where I was moving to and from. I had reservations this past Friday 8/14 and when I arrived I realized the truck I had reserved was too small for what I needed I walked into the store and asked to see if my reservations could be modified for something bigger and the GM Denzell Adams was nice enough to help me with this. Both Denzell and Berry provided phenomenal service and I would recommend them for anyone doing business with this location going forward.

We rent from here about 3 times a month and I’m never disappointed!!!! Denzell has some of the best customer service I’ve seen in a long time. Super quick and super friendly!!!!!

Melissa was awesome. My reservation wasn’t recorded properly by the agent over the phone. She was very eager and prompt to correct the mistake! Melissa was able to fix my reservation quickly! Thank you Melissa! Very helpful!

Denzell is awesome. My girlfriend and I have a furniture business and we rent a U-Haul truck or trailer (depending) once a week - sometimes twice a week. We intentionally try to use this location just because of Denzell. His customer service is excellent and he seems to understand that we are always really busy and have to move quick so he is Johnny on the spot. He goes above and beyond and it shows that he cares about his work ethic. Not many people work like this anymore. When we’re ready for another store I’m coming to Denzell about a job opportunity. For the record, he did not ask for this review. This is a genuine review. Denzell, keep hustling man and delivering that great experience. It will pay off one day brother. Thank you!

I rent trucks at least once a month. This is my go to place for in town rentals. If they get busy, sometimes you have to wait. But their online and after hours option make renting so much easier and convenient.

Texted and called to confirm reservation. Very friendly staff and super clean and new vehicles. They were very helpful. Everything was ready just as they promised.

What a poorly managed facility! They are obviously way understaffed and are losing business left and right from the lack of timely service. The need to fix these issues if they care about customer satisfaction.

Check the vehicle youre getting carefully!I needed a Sprinter the 10th Oct. for one day so I went in here at 5:30 pm.To get the 1st one the clerk came back and changed it for the 2nd one why I don’t know.I opened the 2nd Sprinter and despite my stuffy nose due to my cold, I couldn’t stand the “Cat Urine Smell” faced me in here!Now the 3rd one I took home and the next morning 7am I opened the door and thought I am entering a “Horse Stable”!Due to my wife is allergic to Horses I tried to exchange.But there was neither another Sprinter nor the will to help me out and I had to pay for nothing!I will not repeat how I got treated as a Customer else than filthy and shameful!!!

I had a completely different experience from those previously described. The gentleman who assisted me was pleasant, polite, and well-informed. I received quick service and was in and out in just a few minutes.

I was going to rent a truck for a couple of hours from these guys until I read all the reviews. I decided to just go down and rent a truck from Home Depot instead. It was like renting a truck from a friend and only cost me 22 dollars total but I only used the truck for 1 hour. So this might be an option for some of you but they only have two trucks and you cant reserve them. With U-haul you can reserve the truck in advance which might be better depending on your circumstances but you will pay 1 dollar per mile in addition to the 19.99 price where with Home Depot you dont.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Very simple: I reserved a trailer hitch appointment. I drove 25 miles to get to this location, since it was the only place that would confirm the appointment. When I got there, I was told the werent going to get to it today. When I explained that I drove 25 miles to get here, there was no apology and no offer to refund my money. I had to ask for a refund. When he finally refunded my money, he tossed the receipt to me as if I was annoying him. Will make sure I let my friends know about my experience so that we dont use this location or any other U-Haul products or services.

Uhaul was nearly empty with staff standing around and refused to refill a propane tank because they decided to close that service early.

Very poor service and rude employees. We stood in an empty store for at least 20 minutes before anyone came inside to help us. My wife asked a question about the drop off day, and the employee told her, Just let me get through the important stuff.. Then, he called on our way home and said he forgot to charge us for mattress covers, my wife asked if we could just pay over the phone, and he asked if she could call him back on his personal phone. Very shady. Definitely pick another U-Haul location.

Had a hitch installed and the power wire was run next to my muffler and cause a short. the wire was also run were it was touching my drive shaft. horrible installation and I will no long use there services.

Worst experience ever!Scheduled appointment for wire harness installation which appeared not to be scheduled at all.You deserve less than one star!

Service was quick and easy, but they wouldnt let me use the vacant shelter to put on a hitch, out of the rain, and sleet at 34 F.

Slow service. Employees are regularly not aware of customers waiting in the main building. Expect not to get in and out with ease.

Walked in and there were already 2 people in line and no employees. Waited about 5 mins and asked the other folks how long they’ve been waiting. They said for awhile and had no idea where the employee was. We waited some more. 2nd customer huffed and left. Waited some more and the 1st customer went outside to try to find someone. No luck. Waited some more and I went into the garage and asked the mechanic guy if there was an employee who could help. He said the guy was outside and we just had to wait. About 15 mins waiting just on my end, a guy finally strolls in. No rush on his part. Finally checked out and as I was leaving, the mechanic guy finally got off his phone long enough to come in from the garage to start helping people. They obviously have no interest in their customers. Won’t be visiting this location again.

It would be less of a pain to buy a truck and sell it in one day than work with these people. Save time and your sanity, go somewhere else. I was so disappointed in this service I have to complain to their corporate office. Use budget, they are much better.

I tried to save a few bucks . But if you need propane refills just go to Lowes or Home depot. I waited over 1/2 hours just to talk to someone. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE.

This establishment fulfilled our dire needs at a moments notice and at the quickest time ever. Ive dealt with them before and will continue.

Confirmation was transferred here, where they had the trailer in stock. However, at checkout I asked about the appliance dolly, to which I was told, oh we dont have one, but you can drive to another UHaul and see if theyll let you just rent one. We were not allowed to drop off the trailer at our original location, the third UHaul took us an extra hour, and when we went to return the staff didnt want to help. I unhooked the the trailer and set it back myself for them to check it out later since we had waited 45 minutes and had seen numerous other customers come, drop off, and leave while we were left waiting in line as the attendant picked and chose who she helped. When I asked about the money back guarantee on unfulfilled confirmations, she just said, Well we had some of it, and its not that far for you, right? It would be less of a hassle to buy a trailer and resell it after the move. Just ridiculous - In total, we wasted over 3 hours with this store in drive time and who knows how much longer with their shenanigans. If you are looking at this location, do yourself a favor and just go to the one on Albermarle rd.

Theyre the worst I go there twice a week for propane I always get 20 to 25 gallon of propane for the last 2 months I start drop off the propane tank and tell them Ill be back in 1 hour when I go back is not ready yet when I ask them what happened they keep telling me that they were busy which I know that is a lie last Monday September/10 I talked to the manager he said he will make it ready after one hour is not ready yet again I waited 10 minutes outside and no one came out to fill my propane I went inside I told the manager thank you for your service what shocked me was his reply he said youre welcome what is show that he dont care about customers he just theyre to make his money and go

We were looking for propane and we called at 6:50PM asking if they had any and how much and they said yes we have it, drove 20 minutes to get there and they said sorry we cant give you any propane we dont have anyone who can operate it??? Dont sell propane if you cant operate it people!!!

People are great, but it can be pretty slow going if there is anyone else there at all, seem short staffed frequently.

Rip off! They quoted me one price when I called to book and when I rented and checked out price was higher!! What a way to do business!
