The food is great and the wait staff is great but on two occasions due to the system that they are using to seat patrons I was skipped and people that came after me were seated first. I spoke to what I assume to be a manager and he quickly gave an attitude. They need to figure out a more efficient way to keep track of the order people are coming in. Stating to a customer “then I’ll just seat other people” is inappropriate and uncalled for. I won’t be coming here anymore.
I live 2 hours from here and for my.last 5 visits we make this our lunch spot! Yesterday was my latest visit and from the time you walk through the door you are greeted with great service .. food was delicious hot and fresh! Our server was super friendly and made sure we had all we needed/ wanted . My son agreed to take a ride with me yesterday just to be able to get lunch here . Keep up the great work ! I look forward to my next visit .
Several tables that came at least 20 minutes after us received their orders before us. When we did receive our food they tried to take back one of our plates saying it was for a different table when it actually belonged to us. My hash browns were ice cold and my steak was over cooked. Also a portion of my steak was GREEN, do you think anyone apologized? Not once and they took so long to make a replacement (patty melt) I had to cancel it. I would not suggest this restaurant if it was the only thing open in a 100 mile radius.
The food is okay. The hash browns were bland and oily, I had to put ketchup on them to give it some sort of flavor. My wife had the VA ham, which she said was good. My daughter did enjoy her pancakes. There was a wait when we arrived (9:00), but we were seated within 10 minutes. The reason I gave it three stars was aside from the food just being okay, the parking lot is a disaster. The spaces are small, people are parked across lines taking up two spots, its one way driving to the spots. We circled the lot for over 5 minutes trying to get a place to park. The parking situation is not worth the wait or the food. Now, when we left, there was a line out the door so Villa Diner is doing something right, the place is not for me.
This was our first time at the Villa Diner. The next time we are in Charlottesville, we will definitely go there again.
This is one of my favorite spots, I love their breakfast. I wish they hadnt had to move away from UVA, but dont let that stop you from good food and nice people.

Service was fast and friendly. Good menu selection, all the typical diner facorites. Portion size was good for the price. I got the french toast and it was delicious. The hot chocolate was AMAZING, highly recommend. The bathrooms were clean, and tables were spread out to alleviate COVID concerns. Would definitely go back.
Affordable and quality breakfast/lunch place!!PROS:-prices are great, $8-10 ea, and every meal is a good portion-location, right off of 29 and close to UVA-menu has all your traditional breakfast/lunch foods, plus a few fun ones!-we ordered the Eggs Benedict, Maple BBQ Ground Pork Burger, and Chicken Salad in a Big Tomato. All were delicious and the Pork Burger was something very uniquely yummy-my Aunt works for UVA athletics, and most of the sport teams have/regularly visit this place. Their team posters are all on the walls and mostly signed by the players!CONS:-parking is tight and limited-service was a little slow at first, but mostly cause they are so popular!
It was good. Nothing really stood out. Service was great. We didnt have breakfast which looked to be very popular. We all had sandwiches.
We ordered two French toast meals with eggs and two things of hashbrowns only one came with eggs, on top of that we put a special note in there that one of us has an egg intolerance and we would like egg whites and we were given regular eggs. Will not order again…. Very disappointed
Wrote first review after first visit. Wasnt sure of some of the Google questions asked about business. (I.e. do they have take out) Since I travel to Cville 3 times weekly go Dr. appointment. I make it a point to stop in for breakfast as often as my schedule permits.Basically good food at reasonable prices!

Sunday afternoon place was busy food was good, service was attentive and friendly selection on the menu very appealing. Felt like a breakfast meal so biscuits and gravy couple of eggs scrambled and some ice tea. Yes I will go back it was worth the wait.

The fact that we had to look for a parking spot was a true testament that this place is fantastic. Well worth the wait which wasn’t long at all. The food portions are not skimpy at all and at prices our family can afford. The cherry on the top is the friendly service. Everyone was so nice. I’m recommending this stop as a must for everyone, young and old, big family or couple. We had eight in our party and were very comfortable. We’ll be back. Hopefully sooner than later.

Sooo full of great food. Amazing chicken noodle soup with creamy broth, lots of chicken and rotini noodles. I had the turkey melt with pieces of turkey (not deli sliced turkey), crispy bacon, herbed mayo and nicely toasted. I opted for onion rings that were really crisp. My friend had the chicken salad BLT on a croissant with fruit. Fast service. Comfortable talking levels. Not to missed!

This diner is exactly where you want to go!!!!! Friendly staff, CLEAN restaurant and well prepared DELICIOUS food. When I say clean, I mean the silverware didn’t have water spots or look a little worn type of clean. The waitress that served our table of two was prompt and friendly. We both ordered omelets and they were really good. The omelets were not sitting on a bed of oil or butter, it was the right amount of fluffy, not heavy on the cheese and had the right amount of all the ingredients.I topped my food off with a cup of coffee - which the waitress asked to refill before assuming I wanted more.I would definitely recommend this place and I know I will be back for more whenever I’m in the Charlottesville area.

Im originally from the NY/NJ area and since I moved to Virginia its been difficult to find a good Diner that reminds me of home. Until The Villa. The food is fantastic, never had anything bad. Ive never even had to send poached eggs back because they always come out perfect. But my favorite thing about this place is that they make me feel like family just dropping by for breakfast or lunch. Everyone is always so wonderful and friendly. Youre lucky if youre your local to Charlottesville its like a two-hour Drive where I live I was visiting a friend but if you ever down there in the south of va dont miss it they got it all Breakfast, Brunch,Lunch and Dinner!!

It is what it is: a diner trying to feel like an American cultural staple during a pandemic that doesnt let it do that so easily. With that being said, its great. The food was delicious (French toast, scrambled eggs and corned beef hash for me, western omelette for the wife), the service was great, the wait was short, and the experience was exactly what I needed. I dont eat in restaurants very much nowadays. When I do, I hope for the best. Today, we got that. I cherish my trips to Charlottesville. Im glad I now have a good breakfast spot to go to when Im there. Ill be back next time Im in town. Thanks.

We just discovered the online delivery service through The Villas website, and it made for the best breakfast weve had in a VERY long time! Our food got here FAST!!! We got omelettes, a waffle, and crepes. (There would be pictures, but we couldnt resist digging in.) They just made some very fat and happy people here. Anyone who enjoys breakfast food will adore this place!!

Went here for the first time on New Years Day. Service was fast, nice, and enthusiastic. If you’re considering breakfast in the barracks area I definitely recommend. As compared to first watch or hot cakes the menu is definitely more limited but the people who work here hustle and have a good/clean time.

For a place that advertises breakfast served all day, you would think they would get it right. The place was not too busy at 9 AM on a week day so we got seated right away no waiting. We ordered our breakfast and within minutes they arrived, but both were cold (eggs Benedict and waffles). Also whenever our coffee was refilled, the waitress only filled up the small cups up half way.

Went here during prime breakfast time (a Saturday around 10am).The tables were nicely spaced out and there was sanitizer available (for those concerned with COVID safety). The menu was amazing, all the best breakfast foods and combinations. The service was friendly and fast, but didnt make you feel rushed. The food was delicious! I got the strawberry crepes, they were huge, my friend got the strawberry pancakes which were also delicious and we didnt have to wait long for the food or the check. It was a wonderful breakfast experience.

Breakfast meal was great eggs with cheese Bacon was crisp but not dry. Crepes with with fresh Strawberry and who cream were fabulous.

**Alpha-Gal Syndrome Friendly**Ken, the owner, guided me through the breakfast menu where I chose this delicious vegetable omelet; their Vegetable Omelet minus the cheese, prepared in a clean pan, along with a bowl of fresh cut fruit. Please be specific as their omelets are typically prepared on their grill that is also used for bacon, sausage, etc. Highly recommend and so grateful I have another place to safely eat!

A great place to eat for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Only open from 6:00am to 4:00pm. Sometimes there is a wait, but it is worth it. The servers and staff are always kind. It is a kid friendly place even in the waiting area. Definitely a family favorite!

This place is great. Generous servings, delicious food, hot food hot, cold food cold and served as such. Friendly and attentive staff. Our server Crissy was a joy to watch. She was warm and friendly, very genuine, not fake and syrupy. We really appreciate genuinesss.
I had ordered through DoorDash and DoorDash never sent my order to the restaurant. After many dashers went to the restaurant and didn’t pick up my order (because there wasn’t one) I called the restaurant. They were very sincere and expedited my order for me to come pick it up. They made a bad situation turn good and the food was great! Will be returning (in person next time)
