Bought a new motor from this place. 50hp yamaha 4 stroke. Got motor mounted it on my boat. First time out notice misfire and stalling called them what was happening arranged a appointment a week later. Drove a hour to drop it off they said they would test it. Got a call from them the next day saying nothing is wrong with. So I then drove a hour to pick it upThey charged me 114$ labour to look at it even though its under warranty motor is brand new with 2 hours on it. Took boat out again problem was worse. Fed up I contacted yamaha directly sending them videos of what was happening while just on the muffs. I then contacted howells marine again they then told me since I have contacted yamaha I prolonged this getting fixed. Total b.s.They continued to tell me this could take weeks again this motor is brand new. Brought motor home noticed that when they installed tiller handle that a paid for and the labour to put.it on the main power cable was not tight therefore causing engine to die. The cable was arching out on the bolt. I contacted them telling them and they havent even contacted me to apologize or refund my money. If I could give a negative review I would. I would not reccomend this place to anyone.

We would like to thank Bob and Tammy of Howells Marine for giving us an incredible buying experience when we picked up our new 2018 South Bay S224 RS Tritoon with a 150 Mercury on it yesterday. We bought this boat sight unseen from the Hamilton boat show this past March. My first impression of Bob was hes a knowledgeable owner and a great consultant of his product, not a salesman. Bobs personality allows you to feel comfortable and relax during the entire buying process. Bob said we have a boat that matches what your looking for and I believed him. I gave Howells a $5,000.00 dollars deposit and 3 months later we seen our boat for the very first time we were beyond thrilled!!!! Just incredible day, one well remember for the rest of our lifes!!!! P.S. we asked Bob if he could install a new swing turbo tow bar we bought on line a couple days ago and he did it free of charge!!! Im a customer for life... Thank you Howells for a great buying experience!!!!

Bought a small merc kicker here just recently, the team up front were great and the gentleman who helped me load the motor gave me a thorough rundown on how to use it, its nice to see old school maners and customer service, will be going back for all my boat related needs. Thank you guys, cheers
