The absolute worst customer service I have experienced. Local offices not open and customer service transfers and transfers until you get hung up on. Ordered key entry cards 3 months ago and have not received and have to call and wait on hold 30 minutes every two weeks to MAYBE talk to someone that assures you a call back or resolution and then never follows through.

Well i upgraded to putting cameras up for more security an everysence the second week i dont get notifications me or my husband if were goneAn none of the people that has came out cant get them working .that over a thousand dollars for three camers i would not advice anyone to get them

ADT is the best security system in my book. They have a very professional and cutius staff. My install went very good and fast. My tech was a real pro at what he does. He was very informative and was open to what I was needing in my home. At the end of the day I was very pleased with what he did for me and my family.... Thank ADT.

I have been with ADT for 2 years now and finally did an upgrade to video services. Samuel, my salesman was awesome and ensured that everything was good to go with my order and installation. Tim and John came out an did my installation. Very nice, very professional and did not leave until they were sure I was satisfied with every bit of the new equipment, camera angles and my ability to use the new equipment. I highly recommend!

1. Salesman told us we had a 30 day cancellation, that was a lie.2. We added a camera after original installation. We were told & emailed an agreed price to pay. They tried to add $46 & when asked, the installers manager was heard to tell us it was for “taxes” just so we’d pay it.3. 40 days with 6x having to have a tech come out and we cancelled the service. They sent a tech without informing him what he was to do. If I hadn’t demanded an email the equipment left our responsibility once it left our property they would’ve had to come a 7th time.ADT is NOT what they were 10 years ago. I’ll now be going to Brinks where I’m sure I’ll not have the issues as we’ve had recently. This has been a royal pain.

I wanted to update my current ADT system with an SVR for 24/7 recording and an outside camera. My ADT Tech was Curtis D., he was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. Be aware when canceling. I have talked to two people and been in hold for 30 minutes. The other day I called to cancel and had to go through 5 people and they still didn’t cancel me. I am on hold as I type this review. This is awful. If I want to cancel just do it.

Our house was a total loss from a tornado on April 12, 2020. I made several calls since then to get help with getting the equipment off the house and to to defer my contract, with no success. I was told no one could help me with equipment or the contract. They no longer have anything to monitor until the rebuild is complete. There are very few structures still standing where I live. I am very disappointed in the customer service and lack of concern from this company for a customer I’m good standing. My salesman Made it clear he would help with any concerns or needs but have been unable to reach him since I signed the contract. I was not asking to get out of the contract just defer it.

They got our system installed and up and running the next day. They even met their competitors price. I would recommend them if you’re looking for a security system.

I dealt with Richard Smith on my home security needs. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and made the entire process easy as possible. Not only did he help me with my security system he helped me with my camera setup. The installer who came out was great as well. I learned quite about about the security system and safety of my family by having it. I plan to have them secure my office very soon.

If I had to guess, ADT has a few years left at most... They will NOT be able to compete.The service is absolutely terrible. My alarm has gone off on several occasions with no call to confirm security. They lock you into a 3 year contract, at an outlandish rate; and attempt to increase monthly rates, without notice (I called them to ask why the rate changed, and I was told, “we are working to improve our customer service, which costs more, so rates are assessed and increased each year as necessary). I didn’t have any issues getting my rate corrected, as I’m already stuck in a contract. However, I’m certain that the majority of their customers do not notice this rate increase, and carry on, paying more than necessary. There are so many services available now, e.g. “Ring.” They only charge $10/month and also over video recording and live monitoring, plus, you install the system yourself, no secret codes or passwords to assign new items as with ADT. Bottom line, ADT is very dated, and I unfortunately fell into their trap. I hope that this review helps others. Also, “Ring” is what I’m very familiar with and recommend, but there are plenty of systems available for self-installation, with incredibly cheap monthly costs, that offer the same, if not better live monitoring.Steer clear of ADT. I always make a point to learn from my mistakes, and this is sadly one of the worst I’ve made.

Just finishing up a three year contract. Three years Ive put up with this lousy system. Had them come out twice to try to get it to work correctly. Fire marshal came out for a false alarm one day. Ive put up with several false alarms over the past three years. If it werent for the contract, I would have stopped paying them the $61.78 dollars a month. Over the past 1+ year, I dont even use it out of fear of having to deal with another false alarm while away from the house. RING or another service without a useless contract is getting my business. They also went up on the cost of the service during the supposed locked in monthly subscription I was suppose to have had under the contract. Now it is $65.57 and the email I received points out that they have the right to increase the price as needed. So make no mistake. The contract does NOT lock in your monthly payment during the life of the contract. Also the alarm had false alarms the last several times I tried using their monitoring service - I did NOT receive any call from them about those alarms. Done.

They have terrible customer service when you try to cancel, long after the contact is up, I was on hold for 45 minutes, they were rude,still saying they couldn’t cancel, had to talk and wait on 3 people! Very unsatisfactory service, if they monitor all the time why did they not relize it was broke for at least last 3 years! I am seriously concerning hiring a lawyer!

ADT told us we were under a maintenance plan but when we had to replace our Nest Thermostat, they told us we were not under a maintenance plan and that that were going to sell us a new Nest Thermostat for not their normal price of $600 but for their cost instead, $300. However I found one on line at Lowe’s and Walmart for $269. They are dishonest. I bought my own and will install it myself.

I would love to give this company a 0.We were quoted one price and were charged more than double. No one will call back and work this out but plenty of people call and want to collect the money. They call all night because we were hooked up with a battery operated system and they go dead constantly. The technician laughed at me when I told him what my problem was. Kendrick Bouie was our sales rep and I feel like I was completely scammed by this guy. I just asked for his district managers number and he wont give it to me.. So I am resorting to write this review. He offers no help when I talk to him and I have called him and ADT many times. They act oblivious when we call and just keep ignoring us. I should have read these reviews before I made any decisions. Beware of this place!!!

After having problems with my ADT security system, and having a technician come and fix it, I was told it would cost $655! Until then, there had been zero mention of cost. Not when I called to make the appointment, not when I was called with a confirmation of the appointment and not when the technician called me to verify what time he would arrive.

Someone said give them a 1star. I would give them a Negative 0 because that’s what they word means to me! This company is a rip-off. They told me one thing when I moved and told me something else when I got to my new residence. They said I couldn’t take my camera’s with me due to ADT having a newer system. I learn one thing from ADT, every time you move they have a newer system! They should of came up with away to stop crime by now. Detect the intruder weeks in advance, 😂 Lol! Then told me when I got to my new home I could of taken my old camera. After they charge me to get them to uninstall it. That’s not it though. They Told me I would have to pay $1679 for my new system and it would be the same if I used my old equipment. What! I think they believe their own lies they are telling the customer. They are full of it and lost my business for good! You better off getting you a gun and a dog! If you move go to another company not them! ADT stands for Alarms Don’t Trust!P.S.You see they never responded to me and I had it up for a week. Just added this part today. Also I paid them they measly money 💰! I owe them nothing and no longer under contract, I mean control!

I would prefer to give this 0 stars, this is a complete scam. Dealing with this company has been one of the worst experiences I’ve ever been through.The customer service has been terrible, not being able to answer questions properly, help with problems, or give me correct information while also being extremely rude. The system installed is not the correct pieces I asked for, and was 3 times the cost of what I was quoted. I have only had the system for 3 weeks and was sold a “6 month money back guarantee” through ADT, and now that I am extremely unsatisfied I am being told that my contract is not with ADT but with “Defenders” or “sometimes they go by Protect Your Home” and their cancellation is only 3 days. I wasn’t able to get through to someone until a week after installation to get the system to start working properly. Absolutely terrible experience and fraudulent business.

We only have a month with the service and is terrible, today June the 9 th received like 6 calls of a false alarm yesterday one last week another false alarm, the police come even when the alarm is off they getting a false alarm, is very annoying they tell us we cant get out of the contract and we have to pay 1900$ of fines when is not our fault, the system is not working.Please dont get involved with ADT

STAY AWAY! Think twice before choosing to use ADT as a security system provider. STAY AWAY!• ADT provides EXPENSIVE, but basic monitoring services.• ADT provides different/additional contract terms than those posted publically online and only provides these additional terms at the time the technician arrives at your home (little / no upfront review time or identification of new terms)• ADT extra contract terms (not provided for review before technician arrival) invokes an extremely short trial period duration (3 days) vs. the 7 day “Familiarization Period” described in the ADT terms and conditions posted online.• ADT contracts are designed to lock in customers for 3 year terms with minimal trial period and have high cancellation fees (75% of total fees that would be collected over 3 years)• ADT customer support would rather lock in a 7 day old customer for 3 years rather than ensure they have a happy customer base. (This is not a customer / service oriented company who values customer happiness).Backstory:My wife and I purchased a new home that was prewired with an ADT security system. I spoke with ADT And coordinated to have an ADT technician come and inspect/re-activate the less than 1 year old system on our move in day (11/16/19). The ADT technician arrived on 11/16/19 as promised, but informed me that work could not begin until paperwork was signed. This paperwork had been sent via email just minutes before technician arrival which had not been seen (as we were instructing movers, locksmiths, etc). I regretfully signed the paperwork that included billing info and what looked like the standard ADT residential terms and conditions on ADTs website which was a mistake.It took less than 1 week of using the ADT system to realize how costly and basic the services are. I reached out to ADT the following at the end of our 7 day “Familiarization Period” to request service cancellation and was connected to the account management team.*At this point, ADT’s true nature became highly visible. After talking with the account management team I learned…• ADT’s “Familiarization Period is not a penalty free trial period for users, even though the system would not actually notify any emergency services during an event during this 7 day timeframe and there is no other trial type period discussed in the ADT residential terms and conditions available online.• The contract sent at the time of ADT Technician arrival (which was needed signature prior to work start) was found to include an extra page of terms not include in the standard residential terms and conditions online. This extra page (not available for review before technician arrival) states that the customer only has 3 days to cancel the ADT services without incurring penalty fees (75% of 3 year agreement).o *Note, the extra terms were appended to the very end (last page) of the standard residential terms and conditions that are available publically online.o *Note, the extra terms addressing the allowable 3 day period to cancel by without incurring penalty fees includes the following statement () in BOLD, CAPITOLIZED, RED Letters, “COMPLETED FORM WITH DATE SENT IN SEPARATE EMAIL TO CUSTOMER” ****This EMAIL was NOT sent to customer. This email would clearly have identified the final date to cancel ADT services by without incurring penalty fees (instead of hiding this away as page 9 of 9 of the terms and conditions not available for review before technician arrival).To conclude,These points were discussed with the ADT account management team during numerous phone calls totaling hours of time and resulted in no options for cancellation without paying 75% of 3 years worth of bills.Please don’t make the same mistakes as me and give ADT a chance!

I wish I could leave this review for ringgold but unfortunately I dont see that as an option. Adt service is horrible. Someone else was there when the installation happened and the installer let them sign a contract in my name. I would have never agreed to a 3 year contract. Dont do it!!

DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOUSE!THEY ARE A SCAM!We had these bozos out to give an estimate for adding video cameras to our existing system . We were responding to their monthly ad for free home security system. During the course of the estimate these clowns dismantled my existing system (unbeknowst and not authorized) . They removed one of the key pads, and disconnected wires at the main brain box. They then presented me an estimate for over $9000.00 for the Free system. When we declined to accept this scam of an offer; they refused to re-connect my existing system. Their arguement was they dont work on existing systems. They had NO problem disconnecting it! We called the number ADT and they confirmed their crew would NOT reconnect and reactivate the system unless we agreed to their estimate.I had to pay my existing alarm company, Action Alarm, $200.00 to reconnect and re-activate my system.It has been almost 30 days since I contacted ADT corporate and they have been NOT sympathetic or helpful. We have called them atleast 6 times and so far have just ignored us. I have sent them two emails describing the estimate visit. In both emails have been photos of the ad, the missing key pad, disconnected wires in the main box, and the statement from Action Alarm. They have claimed they didnt get the emails...yet they have assigned us a claim number. Something is getting through to them....they just want us to go away.Weve wondered if the local ADT office wasnt using this scam as an opening to then burglerize our house!DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE IN YOUR HOUSE!
