If youre older than your mid 20s dont bother applying. For a company that are in need of welders you have to take a weld test have it x- rayed and you have to pass to get an interview only to be passed over. Then the painters have to make the welds of their welders look better with caulk. I have 20 years of welding experience and could do the job blind folded but they would rather a young person than someone who will do the job right and not need their weld made look better with caulk.
