My husband and I couldnt have had a better experience with Beth and Mark for our lighting. We are building a lake house and needed all the help we could get. Beth and Mark delivered and then some. We cant recommend them enough. If you want quality lights and quality service, then Southern Lighting is the place for you.
We were the only customers in the store when we walked in. Only one of the 3 associates looked up from their computer to acknowledge our presence although she did not bother to get up from her desk. We told her what we need and she tossed hand to the left and said over there if we have them. We walked out at that point. We’d rather give our business to someone that actually wants it. I guess it’s good to have enough business. Unfortunately not all businesses can say that right now.
Wonderful selection and wonderful family! The quality is unmatched and each piece is unique. We love Southern Lighting!
First of all, their prices are extremely high for what you get. We ordered lights for our new house from their website, which was the most confusing part of the whole process. Whoever built their site is probably still laughing because searching for items is more painful than having a root canal. When our builder installed our lights (before we even had a chance to look at them), they did not look anything close to the photos on their website. When I called them to see about exchanging them for something else, they told me we cannot return them because the wires have been cut. Really? These lights were all over $300+ ea. Who doesnt take returns these days besides flea markets? Needless to say, I wont be doing business with the people or referring them to anyone. You can get better lights on Amazon for a fraction of the cost.
If I could rate lower than a 1 Star, I would! We had a very unhappy experience with Lanai Lights of Fort Myers Fl. We had some low lights installed around our pool area. After less than nine months, we had trouble with the lights not working. We found the wire that was not buried in conduit (we live on the water here) rotting and the screw caps coming off the connections. We sent a video of the issue to Ken Dehon who emailed us back stating that he agreed that this workmanship was we not acceptable to their standards at Lanai Lights. He had an electrician come to our home to fix the problem. The electrician they sent out (not the original installer) stated to my husband AND our neighbor who is an electrical contractor up north, that this was poorly installed. To make a very long story short, an agreement was made between us and Lanai Lights that I’d we payed an additional $160 to cover the cost of conduit material, they would come and rerun new wire correctly. After SEVERAL attempts to have this done, we have no response from Lanai Lights. We did receive an invoice for $160 from them, which for obvious reasons I would NEVER trust them with any more money upfront, they stated on this invoice that the work they were to do was due to “landscapers cutting the wire”THIS WAS AN OUT AND OUT LIE!When I called Karen, the office staff, to inquire about this, she said it was “an error and meant for another customer”?????RHR pools, who did a fabulous job creating our pool, recommended Lanai Lights to me and tried to intervene on our behalf. They also got NO RESPONSE.Such a sad display of ethics for a menial amount of money to satisfy a customer.😡
