Dealt with them on quite a few occasions. They have been around for a long time, I first dealt with them in the 80’s. They’re all attitude and they think they’re the guarders of windows and doors. In specialized situations they’re difficult to navigate through. When you have to come back to address an issue, they don’t want to hear about it. Their pricing is high. Projects I’ve used them on for doors, I’ve spent hours and hours describing how to manufacture these doors to go into openings. I felt like I should have been there to order the doors myself. My customers I’ve sent there in the past have all came back frustrated. They said they seem like they didn’t want the business.

I have called this company about 3 times over the last 5 years trying to get quotes on doors. My latest call was yesterday, and the woman I spoke to, and I wish I could remember her name, couldnt have been more dismissive to what I was looking for. She seemed more interested in steering me away from requesting a quote than actually wanting my business. She basically told me that she had a lot of other larger orders and didnt know when she could get to my smaller request. She was trying to beat around the bust about it, which was even more annoying. Had she been upfront and said hey, we have a lot of orders ahead of you, it might take X amount of days to get this ordered, I would have actually respected that more, at least it would have been honest. I despise companies that behave like this, and will certainly not be calling them again in the future.

JB Sash were supposed to replace 9 windows in my apartment. The day of the installment they realized, even after two early measurements, that one of the windows was the wrong size. They realized that only after they have already removed my old window and had to reinstall again the old one in a very precarious way. I had to wait more that 6 weeks before having them coming again with the new window. And then what happened? They took the measurement wrong again and came with a wrong window again!!! I thought this was a joke, doing twice the same mistake without any consideration.I have been waiting now more than 3 months to have all windows replaced...Not a good service. If you have alternatives I would suggest to go somewhere else.

We have bought one french door, a few windows and a sliding door from them, and realized how important it is to get someone to help you make such purchases. We went with a Reeb pine french doors and Matthew Bros. Windows. The people who work there are fabulous people, and very helpful. The items came quickly too!

Called today to ask if they install basement doors. The lady on the phone said yes and let me transfer you to our sales team. I told the sales rep what I was looking for and he told me that Im better off finding a handyman or one man contractor. They dont come out to price and install one door. All we need is a solid basement door in a custom size ordered and installed. What was I thinking calling a window and door place for a door????

Our experience with JB Sash and Door has been wonderful. Joe Beattie has been great to work with - he even stopped by our home to confirm measurements. They even went the extra step to introduce me to an installer. All in all, a fantastic experience with some great people!

Came and looked at the job. Waited a week for the proposal. Called and asked for proposal. Did not return call. Finally they called back and said they did not want the job. Wasted my time and theirs.

We had a very positive experience with JB Sash and Door. Everybody who works for them is so friendly and helpful. From our first telephone contact and subsequent emails to make arrangements, we felt comfortable and appreciated. Then Dennis came out to discuss options with us and take measurements. He was very professional and pleasant to work with. The men who do the installations for the company are wonderful people. The window we had put in was very, very large, so it took a day-and-a-half for them to complete the project. We did not mind having them around at all! Before we decided to go with JB Sash and Door, we got several estimates which were all about the same. Certainly not cheap, but we have confidence in the product, and in the future will be happy to do business with JB Sash and Door.

I wish more was on display here because there are so many options for doors and windows these days. The sales people were very helpful and I visited the show room two times and called a representative probably a dozen different times. My rep however keyed in my window sizes incorrectly and I never noticed because the quote sheets are full or strange numbers and codes. Its really crazy that you need to aporove an order thats full of codes and numbers. So make sure you ask about every single code and what it means. I ended up cancelling the order just in time and changing a bunch of different option before placed the new order.

Technically they are knowledgeable, but my recent experience was very disappointing. The sales guy made it very rudely clear he didnt have time to take my order, even though thats what he is only supposed to be doing! JB Sash, if you have a policy that you dont take orders from non contractors, then post it clearly somewhere and dont waste our time. Otherwise, respect your customers and be polite. I now prefer to take my business to Mac Leod Windows who have been very good to work with.

Went to the store to set up a home appointment, but their system was down, left information expecting to be called next day.Finally got called on Tuesday the following week. The salesman came to our house the very next day (Wednesday). This was just before tax free weekend. We were promised quote so we could place order over the weekend. Kept checking all week for the email quote. It never came, being upset waited until Tuesday to call to inquire what happened. Response was OH, you didnt get it.Got quote the very next day, with minimal information (with no breakdown of the price), with no apology or mention of the matter. Nothing to compensate a little for the issue.Made us feel they could care less about our business. Funny thing was that the salesman came to our house, spent over an hour and could not have been nicer?????Find it hard to do business with that kind of place.

The sales seems honest and was very patient with us. Explained to us the different types of windows and didnt pressure us to buy anything.

DO NOT USE! We are building a new home and placed an order for all of our doors and windows over 8 months ago with JB Sash & Door. We are still missing doors, components required for built in Marvin shades and some shades never arrived. Several of the custom door orders had to be re-done. Very disappointed at a time when we should be so excited.

Giving two stars, only for the great office staff who always kept me updated on scheduling. We were looking for a “one stop shop” to replace out front door. We have a 115 year old house with beautiful trim. We hoped by choosing JB Sash, the installation of the door, paying a higher price than other estimates, the carpentry would be good quality. Unfortunately, instead of using our original trim, they replaced it with incorrectly sized. We had gaps along baseboards. I needed to hire my painters carpenter to pull off the poorly sized trim. In addition, I had purchased a new lock set which was not installed. Instead, the original one was installed (which was not working properly). Again, I had to have my painter replace the door lock set. Lastly, the plaster around the door was pretty torn up. There was no care given when replacing the new door. My painters had to patch, plaster and fix the entire sounding of the door.If I had known that the installation (which I was charged $1500) was not going to be put back together as good as before the door replacement, I would have hired my painters to handle the whole job. Unfortunately I had to pay for a poor quality installation and my painter who ended up fixing The mess left behind by the installer.I had only wished my check didn’t “clear”so quickly. I would have held back $800 to cover the re-work needed.Note to JB Sash - you need to find installer that don’t destroy the walls around the doors! I would like a refund to cover the re-work needed. I am happy to provide photos!

I called this company because we were looking for a subcontractor for a project we were awarded, once they picked up the phone I introduced myself and proceed to explain my reason for calling, which was to follow up with a previous email sent requesting an estimate. The lady that picked up my phone didnt even listen to what I was saying and said, we are not interested... not interested in giving a quality costumer service i guess.As a client, one of the things we appreciate is honestly and great service. We purchased windows for our entire triple decker. More than 50 windows. We were happy with the price and installation. However, within 10 years nearly all the springs have broken in all the windows.

The person they sent out to measure for windows was rude and creepy. I brought this to their attention and they offered a half-hearted apology, surmising that this came down to a personality mis-match. Its a shame, the other staff were great, but I cant do business with a company that doesnt take responsibility when problems arise.

Waste of time to deal with. Have your designer order the parts and windows from the manufacture. They are rude and unprofessional. Lets not forget they are also racist!

Called them to arrange an appointment for an estimate, waited a week for the appointment. After the appointment, I was told it would take 7-10 days for a quote. After two weeks, was told that they were too busy to provide a quote. I asked them to give us a quote nonetheless and was told one would be produced. We never received anything. A pure waste of time that delayed our project.

We looked online said they closed at noon drive all the way over and it was closed. When you call the phone number it says closed on weekends in winter
