Im fully vaccinated & wasnt wearing a mask. As I entered the store the cashier said you have to wear a mask to shop here. I said Im fully vaccinated, Im not wearing a mask, I will spend my money elsewhere, and I hope you go out of business. Now the ace hardware cashier is an arm of the state. I hope others hit stores where it hurts, their revenue.

Store has changed a lot since we first moved to Cheney. All for the better as far as more space and efficient layouts. One thing that hasnt changed is the quality of service provided by the staff. Always friendly, courteous, and professional.

One thing I seem to be enjoying about Cheney is that things are close by. With that said, this particular Ace is pretty gnarly. I found almost everything I needed (and that last item, not sure what I need to make things work), staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Having an Ace nearby saves me a trip to Airway Heights or Spokane. This is coming from a soon-to-be-resident who doesnt know the area well.

Seriously this store always has what I need, and if they do not have it in stock, there is always a suitable in-store substitute which they offer that is of equal value and brand! Ive never been disappointed with this store, even during this Covid-19 season!

They staff doesnt know how to rent a uhaul. Tells customers the mile price is 1.69 per mile when its really 40 cents a mile after your allocated miles, which they say you have zero again untrue. Last the hardware staff dont have basic knowledge of the probucts on there shelves.

More than helpful, bought something I didnt need and they gave me a refund without question.

Great experience went in to buy a chain saw for a job I was doing I found what I wanted and was out of there in no time.

This place in town has most items but they stack the price on everything since its a convience charge basically. Id wait to make a better buy at home depot or lowes in spokane if you can wait. But last minute stuff they will get you...prices are extremely high on stuff at times. And there assortment on wood/ boards is not even really anything special. Go to home depot. Just my advice.

Harms has very helpful and friendly staff. Their inventory is impressive for a small vendor whos right down the road from you. Sure you can spend all that time rushing off to the megastores, but you dont have to.

Most knowledgeable group of hardware women Ive ever met and my mom was a construction worker. If you dont mind when a female knows a ton more about home improvement than you, then this is the place to go. Ive always found people at every Ace Ive ever been to be very knowledgeable, polite and helpful. If you live in Cheney this is the obvious choice because they dont treat you with contempt if you are new to the hardware or home improvement scheme of things. Plus its right next to Yokes. So you can also get your grocery shopping done without having to re-park or go.

Wonderful place to shop. Ive shopped the my whole time in Cheney watched the kids grow up and enjoyed the smiles from all the staff they have been so helpful with all my home projects. Happy holidays guys and gals.

Nice hardware store with most everything you need on short notice. Prices are reflective of convenience. Lumber is very skimpy. Otherwise what you would expect to see in a small town. Helpful staff and neat odds and ends. Go there frequently and reminds me of a mom and pop true value I worked at before college.

Uhaul is here. They were Quick to get us checked out and on our way.. no time wasting here.

My go to store for anything I need to fix my house! Their staff is amazing! Keep up the great work Tom!

Love this place. I dont usually shop but we come here every year to see Santa and were never disappointed. We absolutely love coming to see him, we find the quality of pictures are better, not just that but theyre free and you usually get it printed, digital or like today both. Highly recommend seeing Santa here your wont be disappointed.

I always have a good experience here.All of their staff are super pleasant and very knowledgeable, and if they dont know the answer to your question, they will (right away) find someone who does. I was asked to give an employee my purse as soon as I entered the store. My older sister showed up a couple of minutes later with a larger purse and was not asked to give it up. As I was shopping, I realized my purse was no longer being watched, so I approached another cashier and was told that it had been moved to another area with a different employee. When I told her I had never experienced anything like this she discounted my experience by telling me there are plenty of businesses that do this. I had to wait in line to get my purse, and the employee who finally got it from made no attempt to verify that it was actually my purse, and seemed confused that someone had taken it in the first place. Anyone could have stolen it. I have no idea how they determine whose purses get taken, but it was such a bizarre experience and made me feel like I was a criminal. I will no longer support this location, and will be letting others know about my experience.

Really like the prices and the location as it is a 2 min walk from my place. The staff is friendly and will help you with your hardware needs. The also offer a membership of sorts that also acts as a way to get your keys back if they are lost. The membership works via every x dollar amount is converted into points. For every 2,500 points you accumulate, youll receive a $5 RewardCard from Ace.

Always a great place to get hardware and surprisingly complete for a small town store. The staff cant be beat for service and knowledge. Recently needed my Stihl worked on. Two days for carb rebuild! Awesome service from Tonya and Jeff (I think). Great price on that work!

Not to my liking

Went in to buy a few items including grass seed. The lady behind the counter asked what the grass was for and immediately pointed out that bag wouldnt work as it was 75% annual grasses. Most places would have just sold the bag even if its the wrong item for the customer.

Easy to go here then to a big box stores

Dont have as many items as you would think for home improvement and have high mark ups. a trip to bi mart or spokane is often a better choice.

The store is well organized, so I found what I needed (a small piece of crafting plywood) quickly. However, I think things throughout the store might be a bit overpriced since its one of the only hardware places in the town. Example, abdollar for a sheet of sandpaper thats worth maybe half that or less... A drive back to Spokane stores might have been worth my money. I did enjoy the friendly workers, though, so overall... this store is great in the context of Cheney.

Harms Ace has practically everything and what they dont have they will get for you. The prices are a little higher than big box stores but most often it isnt worth the trip into town.

My husband came in to borrow a cart to take items to the Goodwill drop site within your parking lot. He was already embarrassed to ask, but we dont have a vehicle and are moving on Monday and we wanted to donate items. Every time we have shopped at your store we have borrowed a cart to bring them home, and guess what???? EVERY time we have brought that cart back. We wanted to do something good for the community and give back items rather than just trash them. Im sure it threw you off to have someone ask you for such a request, but have a little faith in humanity. He offered up his ID and would have given you anything you wanted for him to borrow the cart for about 30min. You reluctantly gave it to him but man he was already down about having to ask, and you just made him feel lower. Thats not ok. Arent we suppose to be a community? Arent we suppose to offer help when needed? If not a cart, well then offer suggestions. Again, I know that isnt your job, but a lot of things arent my job but I do them to help others if and when I can. I know carts are expensive, but we are at ACE all the time and just because my husband shows up without his wife and child shouldnt mean he is less of a person to trust. Anyways, thanks for scoping out the crappiest cart you could find. We returned it and have moved on, but I just want you to know that there are people without vehicles living in Cheney. There are people who want to help but need the community to help as well. Other part of my review: Free popcorn, and neat drinks to buy. Also they have things for kids once every 6 months which was something my son liked. There is a guy who works there that wants you to buy his items he makes on the side and hands out business cards, which I have to say is a little annoying. If I want it, well I will find you online. Expensive, but they are the only one of its kind in this town so they get it. General Manager is always nice, other workers are nice for the most part.

Im a frequent shopper as I build alot of my own electronics projects.Theyre always so friendly and I almost always find what I need. And if I cant, theyre happy to help.

Great hardware store for day to day needs in Cheney. They are generally overpriced and dont have the selection of the big box or specialty stores, but the tradeoff is that they stock quality products, have good customer service, and do have some good deals and specialty things Ive needed from time to time. Excellent for when I need something for a project that day, and dont have the time or inclination to spend an extra hour driving to and from Spokane.

Prices here are really expensive. Price gouging on plywood is ridiculous. Marked up their prices. For what you have to pay $25 here for you can get at Home Depot for $15.

It took about 5 min to get someone to help. When the employee finally came over, I ask about a product he looked it up in the computer said they have one in stock then we walked to the isle then he turned around said they are out.

They change it up with new varieties every time I come in is it a wonderful experience

Very poor customer service. Workers didnt understand what I was asking. Couldnt get the price correct. Other customers waiting and not getting any help either. Use the extra gas to go to Spokane. Workers wanted to argue over the correct labeled price. Will not be returning to this store
