Always easy to find the Volvo parts I need
Had Seven Seas Yacht Service bottom paint my boat and they did an excellent job. With the new paint I got the fastest speed my boat has ever done...even better than when new! Good Job and at a good price!
I had transom and stringers replaced, there were some issues with the work that was done but, Mike did go out of his way to address the issues and, make sure it was right
Mike Weddell of Seven Seas Yacht Services operating out of Mears Point Marina in Grasonville MD was commissioned to repair issues found during sea trial on a boat that I was purchasing on March 30th of 2013. The primary issue Mr. Weddell was commissioned to repair was water intrusion into both engines, which caused several thousand dollars worth of valve damage that was attributed to failure of the exhaust manifold system. Mr. Weddell replaced the least expensive parts of the system but knowingly left the still failing original manifold risers in the manifold system with full knowledge that doing so would cause the same engine failure to occur a very short time after the boat left his shop. He failed to notify myself or the broker of this ineffective partial repair and its implications, and instead declared the issue resolved. --- During this repair Mr. Weddell also discovered a much more serious issue of the boats propeller shafts both having severe electrolytic corrosion around the entire circumference of the shafts. The corrosion so severe that I was told just 60 days after the purchase by the mechanic at my marina as well as the machine shop who also evaluated the damage that one or both shafts could have easily sheared off with a best case scenario of just losing the $700 props attached to each. In the worst case scenario the props from the 640 hp engines could have been thrown through the bottom of the boat, potentially injuring anyone seated in the rear section of the boat as well as possibly sinking the boat. Mr. Weddell not only elected not to report the problem or the severity of the problem to myself as the buyer or the broker, but he also reassembled the boat to purposely and knowingly cover up the damage found. In doing so, he with no regard for safety put the lives of me, my family, and any other passengers riding on this boat at risk. Mr. Weddell was given a very generous proposal from me to only pay HALF of the $6,383.00 repair costs for the damages that he knowingly concealed from me as the buyer and the broker, but he refused and in a very flip manner he just told me: No Chance. and Have a nice life.
A year ago I wrote a positive review about this place. One year later I’ve had to have all the work they did redone, without insurance, to the tune of $15k. I can’t change my star rating but please look elsewhere for your repair needs. Awful job done on my hull fiberglass, it’s leaking, and my outdrive needed replacement after the lousy job the did.Stay away!!!!
On time honest and always a pleasure to deal with.
Nice Marina, well maintained.
