Not a good place to stop at between 1 an 2 pm if youre looking for something to eat wanted a slice of 🍕 pizza.... ( Pizza sign lit up in window ) anyhow they said they ran out it was only 1:30 in the afternoon well if you run out cook another one pizza aint that expensive to make. If youre hungry dont stop!!;

Great store for anything you need. Deli is a great spot for lunch. I noticed they have a reslly nice selection of col craft beer on hand. Sandwich was excellent with Boars Head meat. Staff was friendly and attentive. Will stop by again when running through Chester.

Each time I have been in the General Store I have found what I needed and more! The pizza is pretty FANTASTIC! Love love love the take n bake option! Tons of good eats, pizza, yummy subs, amazing homemade baked goods... Sam, Miriam and all the staff at the General Store are genuinely good people - stop in and you will not be disappointed.

I grew up in Chestah many years ago when the store was owned and run by Pearly Spollett. Ive been back a couple of times and was delighted to find it largely unchanged including the name. Service was great and the store stock remarkably varied.Google maps indicate that the name has now been changed to a generic Chester General Store ... too bad.

Its great that they carry Irish/English food but its very hit and miss what they have in stock. For bacon, its much more miss than hit.

Cool little store, they arent kidding when they say the wood floors are uneven because they are old.

Their staff was VERY friendly and helpful.They welcome U every time. If ur a regular theyll have ur regular order ready ( if u purchase behind the counter items 😉)I highly recommend going there.I live in Massachusetts, and I deal with attitudes ( not to mention I also have my OWN healthy attitude😂😉) on a daily basis from ppl who are seemingly miserable and or hate their job to which their attitudes and demeanors show...Very pleasant experiences shopping here. Whenever Im in the area and need W.E.I need from the store, I ALWAYS stop here!!!
