I was on vacation and decided to stop in Cheyenne. I saw this place on the map and decided to stop by. Says it’s open until 9, however once I got there it was dark inside, and the door was locked. I got there at around 7:50ish, so I expected it to be open. There was a dog inside barking, but no sign of anyone inside. I give this place 2 stars since the hours were either wrong, or owner wasn’t there, but either way the place should have been open during the posted hours. I don’t give this place one star since I wasn’t able to go inside. I don’t know if they have a good selection or not. It’s unfortunate that this was my experience. I wish I could give it a better chance.
Store was advertised as being open till 9pm. Went there at 7pm to find a locked door and a barking dog. No one ever came to the door. No closed sign or message on the door to let me know that today was an off day. Can only assume that the owner doesnt want my business.
Well I went there expecting vintage video games but it turns out to be a dungeons and dragons trip thing so Id you like that its good but ya
Game plan is so nostalgic.Has old video games and new.Way hammer and magic.I sat and spoke with the owner for 7 hours and had just an all around learning and positive experience.I am more than happy to have a local dedicated game store in my townAnd will continue to give my business and bring my future generation here
I walked in off the street right when they opened with an interest in Warhammer: 40k. The owner and another patron spent all day playing an intro game with me and showed me the basics. Cool shop with a couple tables and friendly folks. Didnt even try to force me to buy any products!
Friendly atomosphere, and a good selection of retro games. The owner was friendly and willing to help find just what I was looking for. Will return soon. Thank you.
I took my bother to this game store when we were visiting in Cheyenne. The first thing that I found strange was that the store said open, but the door was locked. Eventually the owner opened the door for us and let us in. Once we got in we saw how much of a dump the place really is. There were pop cans spread all over the place, the selection was extremely limited, for some reason there was a barking dog inside the store (most likely the owners dog,) and the owner was walking around in his bare feet. Along with that, he came off as creepy and strange and never gave us proper space to look at the selection, as if he suspected we planned to steal something. Overall would not recommend.
Went to buy Xmas gifts for kids and was asked to leave due to the fact he had been busy and just had Wendys dropped off and would like to eat without customers bothering him. It took me a week to find the store open during its posted hours ..... Last time I try this place
I have been in every game store (and worked for a few along the way) in Cheyenne and watched as many have come and gone with the times & tides. From the first time I entered the Gameplan over 11 years ago, it has never failed to delight me. I have been going there since I was a kid, and they support every kind of game that a person might want to play. Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh and Warhammer (both fantasy and 40K) just to name a few. Never have I been disappointed by the product selection or friendly staff held within this locally owned business. If youre looking for a friendly local game store that has withstood the testament of time, look no further than The Gameplan.
