I havent been in this shop for years. I stopped there today to see if they had any ammo. They had the best selection Ive seen lately. The people behind the counter were extremely nice and answered every question. They didnt mind that I lingered for a bit the admire their guns. They had the 38 ammo I was looking for. Stopped in the store while passing through Cheyenne just to see what they had. The guys were more than helpful, they had a couple odd ball holsters I’ve been having trouble finding. Then I asked if they would mount an optic and sights I bought elsewhere on a couple pistols. They were on it immediately, I had my sights and red dot on both guns in less than ten minutes. That’s the kind of customer service I like to get and when I do get that, I have no problem spending more money there. Thanks guys and I’ll see you next time I’m in town!

I went in to ask about a tool and the person told me it does not exist but his gun smith has a trick. So I went home and purchased the tool that does not exist on amazon.

Customer service is terrible. Unless you have known them for years or good friends they treat you like second hand. The gunsmith is absolutely oblivious to what hes doing if you have a firearm and you need work done to it DO NOT take it here.

From a Retired combat disabled Green Beret.Traveling from TN to Idaho for a disabled vet elk hunt. Wanted some extra rounds to confirm zero at altitude and local weather conditions. Also wanted to talk to someone out west and get some recommendations for the hunt.Stopped at BPS, Cabelas, Sportsman Warehouse, and many other chain stores. None of them were busy - but all acting like it was a chore to talk to me. Tried finding .300 Weatherby Magnum ammunition during our 20 hour drive. Not cheap but I’m willing to pay!Finally, we tried calling around Cheyenne and gave these guys a try. Even the phone call was pleasant. Walked in, the people there were sweet and knowledgeable.I HIGHLY recommend stopping here. Just look around. No pressure from them. Ask them about your guns and what ammo they recommend. Look at their YUGE selection of weapons. Pet “Butters”, their sweet pup and enjoy. It will make a bad day, AWESOME.

One of the best gun shops in town. Was very helpful and suggested some training courses for kids learning to shoot competitively. Had a magazine from one of the firearms I purchase not work, no hassle they took it and got me a replacement.10/10 will be going back.

Awesome folks to deal with. They are very good and very knowledgeable and have fair prices and they stand behind what they sell. Dont go to that sporting goods store where they will turn their back on you if you have a problem. These guys will stand behind what they sell, and are firearms experts.

Definitely so far the best FFL I used! I ordered firearms, mags, accessories online and ship them there altogether to finish the transfer, with the fact I didnt purchase anything from them but just do the transfer, they treat me very well. I had some family issues as respite my picking ups and stored my shipments there almost 2 months, not only they didnt charge me any storage fee but they gave me a discount on FFL fee! All the boxes were remained in original conditions and they didnt even bother to open them for safety check like most FFL do nowadays. Owners families were friendly and efficient, took me couple minutes to finish paperwork and transfers.Hopefully they have my preferred firearms someday and I will definitely do business with them again. This place is really austere, not lots verbose adornment interior like most my local store, but they save the money and reflect it on customers instead charging excessive margin like my locals do.I dont think you should have any problems choosing them!

I came in to get a firearm transferred and was treated as a second class customer. Immediately after receiving my items, the sales person/owners kept pressuring me to hurry up and stop inspecting my two purchased rifles, while I attended to put everything back in each box, respectively to each item. I was told that I did not need to check my firearms because there is a clause found in gunbroker.com that allows me to return my firearm, which is not true after signing the transfer form 4473. Overall, this is one degrading experience that overwrites all other three and four star reviews.

I just ordered some magazines over the phone and the Sales Lady, whos name is Lacy, made the transaction smooth and easy, without any issues. She is very knowledgeable and extremely polite and courteous. I will buy from them in the future. I would highly recommend them for all of your firearm needs.

Dont get the reviews either. I received the best service. Im new to reloading, I didnt catch any snobbery that is becoming the norm in the gun community. Instead I was coached and encouraged. I drive 2 hrs from CO to give my business to this place. Their inventory is nothing short of amazing.

Never a bad experience here. Everyone who works at frontier arms is extremely polite and knowledgeable of everything firearms.

Over all a good store. Well stocked, and a wide variety of firearms and reloading supplies/ammo. Tends toward the tactical, but not heavily.When ordering merchandise they dont seem to be very aggressive about following up on shipping delays. I can see how some folks might be unhappy about this, it took nearly two months to get a go-no go case gauge for .223 shipped in.They have a gunsmith in the shop, which is something you dont see every day. Just sent a slide in for some light machining, well see this evening how good he is with a mill. The turn-around time on the slide was VERY quick.Overall I find the staff to be professional, the selection to be more than adequate, and shopping experiences there to be satisfactory. Their prices may not match the big-box stores (like a certain warehouse catering to sportsmen), but I never expect a mom-and-pop store to be able to match that kind of buying power. I know for a fact that they try to keep their prices reasonable and fair, but you have to leave them room for SOME profit!

I had my 4yr old son with me along for the trip trying to find a holster to use while camping and fishing. I was greeted by a female employee and asked what I needed. I gave her some guidance as to what I was looking for and she cheerfully helped. While she discussed several options they had, a male employee also began looking at their stock for items that would fit my needs. He seemed focused on what I wanted and eventually found an item that although not designed to fit my exact needs, could be used in such a way that it would work. Good experience thus far! I bought the holster. While paying, I did see something happen that mirrors negative reviews here. The male employee was just finishing answering a question I had regarding Wyoming gun laws. A customer walked in that was apparently a regular. The male employee forgot his answer and turned his attention to the regular. The regular asked about a gun part and the male employee advised him that Sig hasnt shipped it yet.... The regular was flabbergasted saying something like it has been over 3 weeks!!! but the male employee persisted in saying that Sig (may have been another mfg.) was to blame and they hadnt shipped the part. The regular just couldnt believe it. It was an ironic experience as before I went to the store, I had read about these behaviors in other reviews and yet there I was, seeing it first hand. Overall, my experience was positive. If I had walked in 10 minutes later, Im not so sure this would have been the case.

Out of ammo, like everywhere.

Me and my wife Heather and our 2 daughters go in there all the time to buy our guns and ammo. All though they can be busy at times, they always say hi as we enter the business and say we will be with you when we can. Lacy and Ryan go out of there way to make my wife and daughters feel comfortable about asking ?s about guns and not make them feel stupid, (like some other places and guys here in town) and go out of the way to order for my daughters what they need or want. Ordered 21rd magazine and they ordered it without even taken a deposit. Said it be here within 3 days and showed up and got my mag, no thanks to Colorado I have to drive into Wyoming to get mags greater than 10rds. Very helpful and courteous.

All in all a good store. I Went in looking for a specific hand gun. I left with the gun I wanted and some extra knowledge to go with it. The staff is friendly and more than willing to share their knowledge and suggestions with you.

Very poor quality gun smith, scratched the new chassis, used crunch washer to time the muzzle brake instead of machining it the right way, doesnt understand what blue printing (or truing) a 700 action, and than runs 4 rounds through a new match grade barrel with no cleaning in-between than charged me 90 dollars for the box of ammo used to do it and the labor. I had to have the whole rifle taken apart and repaired by a quality gunsmith that asked who did the work on the gun the first time.

These folks treat me like Im a part of their family. Im also a younger gentleman and have bought two firearms through them. I recently bought my first handgun and they walked me through the different options and sales they had. They are top notch and always put the customer first. Ill be back again and again to visit them.

We live in Rawlins. We have driven to Cheyenne three times to drop off a gun that needed fixed . Three trips back to Rawlins (150 miles one way ) to find out that the gun was NOT fixed. They charged us each time though ... for nothing. We wont bother going back ..

I brought a gun in for a simple fix after being warned they will break it. They managed to not only set it up to break as soon as I got the gun but also denied having any cause and made excuses not to take care of it and proceeded to try overcharging me for the fix. Alot of inbreds in town from the south we need a store like this to keep our women safe. So many creeps around here. I personally suggest one of each type, (shotgun for home invasion, rifle for huntin unless you aint from round here, and a pistol for yer pocket in case a meth head tries to rob you. Yepp. Watch out for them imbreds. The owner is wearing a walmart shirt they are all about saving a buck to make a buck instead of flaunting their profits in your face like a habeeb store

At first these guys seem pretty friendly, so i bought two guns from them, and i was gunna continue to buy guns from them, untill i took in a busted frame, and they did nothing for me, and they just kinda talked to me like im dumb and showed no respect, after that i never went again, workers are very rude, they all talk into a tone, it seems like they fight a lot, very unprofessional, too bad for these guys, cause i ended up spending 5,000 more dollars at lindas guns shop, i recommend her a lot more she treats all her customers like family, and she will get what you want with no hesitation.

I cant believe there were actually reviews of the staff being rude! Ive been here on several occasions and always been treated right ALWAYS! Which Im young so people normally look at me then think this kid isnt gonna buy somethin and stops helping me or thats what happened when I drove up to cabelas in Denver and MOST of the time in sportsmans. If actually seen people mad in sportsmans because Im looking at guns Im like really dude. Ok let me spend over 1,000 dollars then I can check it out when I get home ha na im gonna sit there and check it out all day and all night if I want!

I recently read a review by a Google user going by the name OGC Haxzcor I dont make it a habit to post reviews online but in this particular case I find it necessary to do so. I happen to know the individual that goes by the name OGC Haxzcor”, I was also the individual named as the “one other person in the store in his review. The situation transpired as follows..... Frontier Arms was operating normally with customers transacting business and being helped as always, I was the only customer in the store when OGC Haxzcor entered, he was greeted by the staff and was in the midst of asking a question about a particular firearm. The store personal explained that they did not have one in stock at that moment but could have one on order in minutes and it would be ready for pick up the next day. OGC Haxzcor was upset by this and muttered several obscenities and racial slurs that were both out of context and un-called for. When the Owner apologized for not having the particular firearm in stock, OGC Haxzcor exclaimed “well Sportsman WHS has one right now! and stormed out of the door. A week or so later I was myself in Sportsmans WHS looking for a pocket knife, as I was walking through the store I noticed that the very same Gentleman that had caused such a scene in Frontier Arms, was actually an employee of Sportsmans WHS!!!! I find it strange that he had went through all the trouble to visit Frontier Arms, and write such a horrible review when in fact it was all just because he works for a competitor.

Staff here is pretty terrible. Theyve been getting away with awful customer service because of the political status since 2008ish. Just go to RLY Enterprises or Sportsmans Warehouse.
