Brought in 4 watches to have batteries replaced. Owner was very courteous, told me theyd be done in an hour and they they are cash only. Did a great job and took a Tag Heuer in the next day to get a link added which he did on the spot. Very friendly and reasonably priced.
Fixed my dad’s old turn-of-the-century schoolhouse clock. Works perfectly and looks as good as ever. Definitely recommend. A+
Great service and the owner is so nice! Brought 3 watches to replace battery and got them done in 30min!
Great service. Took the time to explain what was going on and what was wrong with my watch.
Great service and very reasonably priced!
Quick, professional, and friendly! Great service.
Great place to restore watches. Brought my Bulova and looks like new. Good price too
We brought in our Seth Thomas Crystal Regulator, waited months for it to be repaired with weekly calls asking for it, finally were told it was ready and paid $300. It worked for less than a week.
Ive been going hear for 7 years for my watch battery replacements-You will alway receive great and swift service!
This shop is the best... great service. I had a necklace repaired there and replaced a watch battery. They figured out the problem and fixed it quickly at a fair price. Im overjoyed! They are dependable, have good prices, and are nice guys too.
Very friendly and super fast service.
I brought in a few watches to have batteries put in as well as cleaned. He knows his history of watches and told me all about my watch my grandfather gave me. The experience I had was top notch! He was able to do the service in an hour. This is the place you want to go! Very friendly place.
Fixed my watch in less than 10 min for a great price! Will definitely be back!
Knowledgeable staff and great service.
Quick, friendly service. I have a 15 year-old Fossil watch that stopped a week ago. I replaced the batter with what I thought was a new one but the watch stopped again a day later. Time Keepers owner determined the battery to be bad, replaced it and also fixed a pin in the watch band that had been falling out.
Found this place via google. Very friendly. Fair price. Brought in two watches for battery replacement and They were replaced in under 5 minutes. Highly recommend for any of your time keeping needs!
Had a great experience. Fixed my mechanical watch in about ten minutes. Seemed like a fair price. I’ll be back in the future for any watch issues I may have.
Wow is this a great little shop. Very friendly and competent staff. Very reasonable prices. Would come here again in a heartbeat. Came in for a battery replacement and it was done in 5 minutes. Got some good advice on the care for the watch. Looking at what went into opening it up and making the swap, I am very glad I didnt try to do it myself.
Good service-- got my birthday watch fixed after being told it was done for good at another place.
Nice mix of craft & congeniality one misses... Or really enjoys. If you wait a while.. Look AROUND😁😎⏳⌛😉
I brought my Raymond Weil stainless Freelancer in because the back seal went bad, the store owner was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem within minutes, he then inspected the timepiece and complimented the quality of such a watch. I am so happy I brought my watch to Time Keepers. The Jeweler I bought the watch from wanted to send it out for 8 weeks. Timekeepers will have my watch ready the next day! This is a very special place!
Quality materials and workmanship and personal customer service.
Quick and easy. The man was incredibly friendly and polite. It turned out to be a very simple fix and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Its a great neighborhood shop. I have a few other watches I need to have fixed and Ill definitely be bringing them here.
I have been bringing watches and clocks to Time Keepers for repair for many years. They do great work. Cash only though!
A refreshing experience in the day of rushing and rudeness. Expert knowledge, fairness, and excellent workmanship. I’ve gotten watches fixed here which others gave last rites. If it needs to be fixed, if it can be fixed, they’ll fix it. Carol
Bill was great, knowledgeable, and patient when checking my mantle clock and answering my questions and concerns.
Ive taken several watches to get the batteries replaced here with no problem. He also looked at my Omega watch mechanism but knew right away he wouldnt be able to fix it, and gave it back at no charge. Trustworthy and up-front service right there.
Great service and great price! Love this place.
Stopped in this afternoon to get 3 watch batteries replaced plus some links removed from two metal bands. The gentleman was very friendly and chatty and worked quickly while I waited. Cost was $15/battery change and $10 for the link work (removal from 2 bands.)
L read these reviews on the place when looking for a clock shop, and decided to go there. it was a great place, welcoming and happy once you first stepped in the store. the man there was friendly and social, and we spent twice as much time there talking about all his stuff. my mode button was broken, and he fixed it in less than 4 minutes!plus, he charged me 3 dollars. the store is friendly, cheap, and will leave the grumpiest of people with a smile on their face.
So nice and did a great job for removing links and replacing battery on a Tag Hauer wrist watch
Great service, great price. Two watch batteries replaced in 5 minutes.
A rude nasty person. I took in an old kitchen clock for an estimate. He took a month to get back to me with an estimate twice more expensive than elsewhere so I refused. I didnt check inside the clock at the time of picking it up. I shouldve. A screw was missing. When I went back for the screw he tried to charge me in the rudest manner. Dont go there.
Great service. $12 to replace one watch battery is a little steep though. I mentioned that I would give them a good review online. The owner said that while Im at it I should mention hes got four used Harleys for sale. If you need an antique timepiece repaired, (or a second hand motorcycle) this is the place. A simple battery change? Not so much. Nice people though.
The owner of the store was very knowledgeable on how to diagnose the problem I was having with my watch. He gave me a quote that was reasonable and had the watch ready as promised.I plan to bring a couple more watches I have that aren’t working and have him repair them also.👍🏽
Fast & friendly! Highly recommend
I needed the battery changed in my Swiss Army watch. I stopped in and the battery was changed, he adjusted the size of the band and showed me how to use and explained the stop watch feature on my watch. Super friendly, very affordable and I got a homemade chocolate chip cookie!
I brought in an old mantle clock that has been in my family for many years but has not worked for at least 30 years. I brought it in to see if it could be fixed. The owner gave me a great history and description of the clock (learned it had a timer built in and was designed as a kitchen clock). He looked at it and was able to repair and clean it and now it works great, When I picked it up, he gave me a short lesson on how it all worked and how to maintain the clock. The one (sort of) negative was that hes a cash only business. Other than that, I highly recommend Time Keepers for repairing clocks.
Gave him a mechanical watch to repair. After I picked it up and wound it at home, it immediately broke again. Brought it back, then he made me wait 2 months (not a typo!) before he looked at it... and then he told me he wanted to charge me again for fixing his shoddy work! He wouldnt give me a refund either. So he took my $75, 2 months of my time, and I still have a broken watch. Unbelievable. Youll be waiting a year for his bad workmanship.
Hours are wrong. I drove all the way here for nothing :(
Was very knowledgeable and was able to take care of us right away. Some really neat items, enjoyed looking at all the clocks.
A true gentle man that has superior knowledge and true passion for his trade. I will go back and refer people!
Affordable and prompt which repair. Nice guy too.
The owner not only got an antique clock working great, he gave me a bit of a history lesson about the type of clock it is. Really awesome.
I actually feel badly for leaving this review but it was such an odd experience Im still trying to figure out what happened. I scheduled a time for the man to come set up my antique grandfather clock in my new condo. I made sure to tell him to come to the loading dock area of the building and the attendant would let him up. The time for my appointment came and passed by 5 minutes. I called the number I had to make sure everything was okay. He said he had been to my building and I didnt come down to get him. I apologized for he misunderstanding and said I would come down (even though I didnt actually have to) and show him up. No, I know people like you. Youre never going to be happy. Go somewhere else.I still dont know what the heck happened or if he was even at my building or made it up. I asked the loading dock employee and was told no one ever came inside.I took a half day off to meet this man. Not sure what the deal was.
Great place for watch repair and battery replacement while you wait.
Friendly and helpful. reasonable priced too.
Friendly, convenient, and fast service. Would recommend to anyone in Lakeview area.
This guy was so rude to me and started swearing when he thought I was taking pictures. He yelled at me and threatened to take my phone. I ran out of there so fast. Dont give this guy your money.
Sad to report my poor experience at this shop.$120 spent on 4 visits over a few months. Was never able keep my watch running more than 3 days on time.Last time I brought it back, he accused me of breaking the watch each of the previous times. Refused to refund any portion of my money.I said my only recourse is letting the public know about his poor service and attitude. His response was, I wish I could write a review on you. Haha. Also, the hours are terrible and he only accepts cash (probably to avoid dealing with dissatisfied customers). Look elsewhere for watch service.
Quick and reasonably priced.
Decided to give this place another chance after a terrible exp the first time. This visit was even worse. I think the old man who owns this place must have dementia or something. I came in for a link removal on my Omega Speedmaster. The old man took a look and my watch and told me nice watch great conidtion for a watch from the 70s and i respond to him no i bought this watch recently with the omega paper work stating this watch is from 1997. the old man starts welling at me saying its old... then another customer comes in and he puts my watch down and starts helping the other person. then he walks away saying i am making him nervous and to get the F out of his shop and go downtown. I have no idea what happend.... maybe he doesnt like to work on higher end watches? either way the old man is very rude and i will never go back to his shop. my visit was so bad i am gonna take the time to write this review on as many pages public as i can about this store. this guy needs to close his doors and maybe get his dementia under control...after i walked out i looked up another watch repair shop near by at 3017 N Broadway called Dua watch& jewelry repair the man in this shop was great!
This guy is always super polite and helpful. Keep in mind its cash only.
I went in for an assessment and let him take a look at my watch. As he had it taken apart I decided not to get the minor cosmetic work done on it. When he put the watch back together he bent the tip of the second hand so it catches on the minute hand, essentially rendering a working watch useless. It is either carelessness or spitefulness. Nobody should have to deal with such a man.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN AT ALL COSTS! My clock stopped working within 24 hours and because he takes cash you have no recourse. Im out hundreds of dollars.
Over priced and dont ask the gentleman what interested him in working on watches. He will get upset.
Super competent and so friendly.
Great service
Awesome customer service!
I went to this place today to get a battery for a small toy airplane he charge me $13 for 10 seconds worth of work The only takes cash no credit and no change I have for the watches that I need to get repaired thought about giving him the business but I just can a for $13 for a battery to put into a small toy airplane
I had a broken band on my watch and had it fixed within minutes.
