Amazing donuts here!! Love their pink exterior too. Get strawberry filled ones! Those were my favourite!!! I wish I got more than one but will do that next time! Also their carrot cake donut is good too. Warm it up tho!

Delicious chocolate chunk cookie! Still nearly raw in the middle, my favorite! The sprinkle donut was good, but not fresh today. The blueberry fritter was burnt on bottom and dry. While these are good donuts, they are not 5 star donuts. I have had better at many other places. Also seems they sit in the case a day or two.

A line out the door when we arrived! Clearly well-loved morning stop. We tried a doughnut, a hash brown, and cold brew with cold foam! All 3 were fantastic! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend giving this a try at least once! You are bound to find something you will like. 😊

Got the blueberry fritter here and it was as tasty as it looked. The crumble at the bottom of the fritter has the most perfect little crunch and chew. I wouldnt recommend getting the mir version of the croissant donut though because it wasnt quite layered and the cream custard inside had no flavor.

A little chaotic, but the donut selection is amazing and there are so many unique options, like the frosted pretzel and cronut (which has layers of cream inside). Blueberry donut was kind of gross and tasted like artificial flavoring but everything else was awesome and I’d totally come back!

I was looking for coffee, I found Stans. Walked in with no intention to buy donuts, but the smell and look of the donuts inspired me to leave with a dozen for my family. The service was friendly and helpful. The donuts were over the top decadent, the coffee and Chai was smooth and satisfying. My family loved the Donuts and Chronuts. The only detractor would be price.

Best iced coffee we found while visiting, also amazing smoothies, and food. Dont forget the donuts to go! The decor and ambiance are sooo cute and vintage. Some of the staff were a bit lacking in personality (Eh-hem Brenda.....) But otherwise definitely recommend you stop in while in town. Once we found it we came back daily for something, and took a dozen home to our family and friends for good measure.

Everything was wayyy too sweet. Even the latte, somehow. Pretzel donut was the best by far.

The caramel frappe was one of the best I have ever had. We also ordered the veggie-based sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich, and it was perfect. They were out of the croissant donuts when I got there, so that was disappointing, but the taffy apple donut I got was not.

Not as good as 5 star reviews state. Coffee is average and donuts, while creatively designed, are not so well executed. Its as though they took inspired ideas and lost follow through.

Really good speciality donuts here. We got the glazed, blueberry cream cheese, Nutella pocket, carrot, and two cronuts. Don’t get the cronuts they aren’t good vs the cronuts in NY. The other speciality donuts were pretty good with the Nutella one being my favorite. The glazed wasn’t anything special so if you’re not looking for specialty donuts I’d go to doughnut vault or fire cakes instead. Worth trying though

As a stop along the Underground Donut Tour (IG @undergrounddonuttour) this was an amazing spot.The red velvet donut was a delight and the Biscoff butter filled donut was to die for!This is a highly recommended spot and the tour was definitely worth the price of admission! 😁 😁 😁 (Tour guide Nick pictured holding the donuts)

Love their croissant doughnut.. called ‘ la stan’ . The apple cider filling was juicy & flowing !! Old fashioned lemon was nice.There was a wait outside & inside ... probably took 20min to get our hands on the doughnuts .Nice staff.

We had their bacon, egg and cheese Stanwitch. It was very tasty. My only issue was the seating. When we came in, the eating area was full and we seen the additional seating sign. Well we go to the other side and basically get booted out and they said it was an old sign and that we couldnt sit over there. That was an issue for several people and I think to avoid that maybe the sign should be taken down.

So delicious! Prices are a little steep for donuts but understandable considering the high rent prices in Chicago. Quality and taste was amazing

I came here for coffee and I am not a fan of sweets. My husband ordered a Maple Long John classic donut and two coffee for us. The coffee was awesome, rich and flavorful. The donut was so tasty I end up buying a 1/2 dozen of different kind and take it to my hotel room.I recommend this place to all the travelers like myself to try it.

Busy time to visit during memorial day weekend but the lady at the counter tried her best to help me out with the recommendations.Ordered a 2 shot espresso and iced latte and a classic donut + chocolate donut - both were good, just the right amount of sweetness I preferred. Delicious food and friendly staff! We tried the peppermint bark old fashioned, a cinnamon roll, birthday cake donut, peanut butter pocket, and chocolate sprinkled cake! Also got a caramel frappe that hit the spot! Everything is super sweet, but thats what you get at a donut place!

All donuts are not created equal. Stans donuts stand tall and large. They were fantastic. The coffee was also very good. It is rare that both are top-notch.

As far as the donuts go, they are fantastic. They have a really great variety and they taste fresh. In addition to being delicious, they are also really pretty. Pricing is good and fair for the quality. I brought back a half dozen different ones for everyone to try back home (Detroit) and all of them were amazing. I will definitely go back to get donuts when Im back in the city.I knocked one star off for the poor service I had because I am really hoping it was just a fluke thing and I dont want to rate the place lower since the donuts are so good. I ordered and paid for two coffee drinks (an iced mocha and a cold brew coffee, both simple) and I had to leave without them to catch my train because the employee was on their phone rather than making the drinks. I told the employee at the register (who was really friendly and helpful) that I had to leave so she could let the employee know not to make them, but I was really bummed to pay for drinks that wasnt able to get after waiting. They werent busy, so there was no reason why that happened. I really hate leaving negative reviews, but I am upset with the service experience.

The Biscoff banana doughnut I just ate, might be the greatest doughnut Ive ever eaten. I got 4 different ones and wish I would have either A. Saved that one for last, or B. Gotten 4 of those. Holy smokes.

The Vegan donut was AMAZING. I highly recommend it. The hash browns werent tasty and for the The Price you only get 1. I also has a Carmel frappe and I wasnt impressed.

The taste and softness of the donuts is unbelievable. Just amazing flavor.The coffee is also very good. And they also serve ice cream.They have several locations around Chicago. I was advised by a local that is one of the best donut places in town.Service was fast and kind.

Great place to try some great Illinois donuts! We tried the regular glazed (see picture), the cinnamon glazed cake donut and the vanilla glazed donut. People were really nice and friendly. Place was cozy and warm. Also, you can get a free glazed donut if you get the Stans Donuts app on your phone. So, run and get that deal! :)

Very very bad customer service experience with the lady named Zulaikha. The ice cream was good and the atmosphere was nice but she made the hole experience bad. Will not come back again sorry.

The pistachio donut is the best pistachio donut Ive had! It is light and fluffy and the pistachio flavor is strong which I like! Did not like the cronut at all, the pumpkin creme filling was so heavy I took it all out and threw it out, would be better without such a heavy filling, maybe a fruit or jelly fill would be better!

When it comes to Chicago donuts, I am on team Do-Rite (although Downstate Donuts would probably take the cake if they had a permanent location in Chicago), but if I had to go to Stans or if I were entertaining friends from out of town, this would be the location I would choose. Its very well decorated and both the outdoor and indoor seating options are lovely. It is co-located with Labriola and this location also has gelato. Vegetarians should be warned that all of their donuts contain lard except for their old fashioneds, although all of the donuts are fried in the same fryers. My favorite donut is the lemon-pistachio old fashioned.

Wanted to try as I had a heard a lot about them. They were a little hard to find As they are tucked in with the Italian place next door. The roulette ice cream display is great and with a choice of amazing donuts. The gluten free blueberry and old fashion is a must.

It was a very long line and was not worth it. We kept getting told to go to the other counter to pay and when we did they said go back. The donuts were burned and bland, and for $43, they should be amazing.

Stans has a huge selection of donuts that includes all of the basics as well as some really unique ones. The cake and old fashioned donuts have a very moist and slightly dense texture that is very good. The raised donuts have an okay texture. Toppings/fillings can range from very good to not so good, but with such a wide selection its expected that some donuts will be much better than others. These arent the best in town, but they are a solid shop thats worth visiting.

Delish! Be sure to stop in! Get a milkshake!

Ok, so we were just walking from Navy Pier, trying to get back towards Michigan Avenue to do some shopping when we saw a sign for Stans. Not having any idea what it was, but loving donuts and gelatto, we went on in. Between the four of us, we probably purchased about 10 donuts and a few ice creams. What a treat it was (and ended up being our lunch that day)! The staff was super friendly, the donuts were fresh and the delicious gelatto that got served out of a rotating gelatto bar was DEELISH! Also, the restrooms were SUPER fancy and clean! If anyone asks me for some places to visit while visiting Chicago, Stans will definitely be on the list.

Amazing selection and great tasting

The taste, quality, size, and variety of the doughnuts make Stans a favorite place for me to visit for a treat. I especially like the glazed Old-Fashioned. There is the regular sweet version, but also cherry and orange versions that contain the zest of the fruit in the batter, making the flavor even more distinct. The cronuts are generously stuffed, with flakey frosted tops that come off to reveal the filling. I tried the lemon curd variety. Deeeeelicious!😋

Best coffee in Chicago

I was in Chicago for a work trip and we stopped in Stan’s on our way to the Mart one morning. The atmosphere was the absolute cutest, the employees were very friendly, and the vegan donut was amazing. Most donut places don’t have a vegan option, but Stan’s had TWO! I got the original vegan donut (they also had a cinnamon vegan donut) and it tasted just like a real donut! I was so excited. The size, texture, and flavor were all amazing/5 stars/on point. I should’ve bought a dozen in all honesty. I highly recommend!

When in, simply for coffee. When to the cafe area first. Could get zero assistance. Went to the donut area registers next. Again, employee stared at us, but never said hi, never asked if we needed anything, nothing. Went to many places today in Chicago. This was our only negative experience. Coffee isnt that complicated. I moved from Chicago to Los Angeles years ago and have been seeing Stans Donuts pop up in a friends photos ever since. When I was back in Chicago last week I definitely had to try it and was not disappointed!!!My favorite ever donut is blueberry cake so I definitely had to get that one, but it was a really difficult choice. Everything looked so good!!! I appreciate the mix of classic and creative flavors. The key is that their creative flavors arent gimmicky like Ive seen in most donut shop these days-they actually taste good instead of just looking Instagrammable. And, whats more, a friend I was traveling with got a cookie donut and loved it so much shes buying a box to ship to our office in Los Angeles so we can all try it (aaand so she can have another!) And thats not cheap!

You get all the best & fancy donuts in the morning but during the late afternoon, you will get most of the regulars, they are always serve fresh, with coffees & other cold beverages.
