Really like this place! Its definitely a low key neighborhood bar in West Town. Friendly, hard working folks, from the neighborhood are usually there, having a cold one and convo after a hard days work. Loved in West Town approximately one year, when employed downtown. Loop tavern was always my go to bar, Steve the owner, and Wanda the bartender, would always great me with a smile, and knew exactly what I wanted to drink!

Have great and wide selection of beers, spirits, mixers and wine. But, if you need obscure spirits might not be your place. But, their wide selection is able to fill most needs.

I wish they were still open and its a crime that theyre not. Theyve always abided by the hours that were declared in order to be covid compliant, they always counted heads to make sure they were at the 25% rule, they only had enough stools and set them up so that people had to be 6 ft apart, and they wouldnt let anyone, ANYONE, in the door without a mask. And none of this even mentions the fact that the place itself is a Chicago institution. The owners and managers, everyone on staff there is first rate, old school Chicago class. And its so hard for small places like this to survive with the 9pm curfew that doesnt even matter because bars cant be open at all right now. But its put such a dent in the covid numbers that I guess we should all just be grateful. And thank the mayor... Its dep-LORI-ble. Hang on Tap Room. Were all rooting for you. Love ya Steve!

Small liquor store in front and a long bar in back. The atmosphere is spot on if you are looking for a place to drink and talk. Nothing fancy. Some of the regulars are awesome and we were treated well by the bar tender. Follow up...Still awesome.

If you go here and someone doesnt buy you a drink you must be an unlikable person. Place is definitely a dive but a great place to meet new drinking buddies. Every time I come here I plan to stop for 2-3 drinks tops and then someone says have another on me and all of a sudden you end up losing track of time. People always play good music too.

A nice place to sit down for after-work beer. And they are very friendly.

Best jukebox in town. Has ALL kinds of music. Service is great. Lotto machines. Wide variety of beers wines liquors. Watch the game on large tvs. Friendly relaxed atmosphere.

Now, let me tell you about this little hidden gem... it’s not fancy at all and is cash only, but the drinks are dirt cheap and the staff is nice. $5 for a tall whiskey sour, nice amount of alcohol. Great cheap place to grab a drink alone or get smashed pregaming with your friends!

I enjoyed chatting up the owner on why chicago doesnt have a casino. the waitress gave us money to change the music from mariachi band music. a couple of modelos and we were off. old establishment with a bar.

Place is a little overpriced on some stuff but, I do have to say the staff are all very good people. Opens early and closes late which is always a plus on both ends.
