This is certainly a hidden gem on Michigan Ave. I was truly super surprised to find it. Actually my daughter found it and wanted to visit again and took me. It is a Christian bookstore and gift shop (books, bibles, cards, crosses, bracelets, art etc.) with reasonable prices. They had COVID-19 safety precautions in place and it was staffed by nuns who were pleasant, friendly and welcoming. I especially loved❤ 🥰🙂 that they have a tiny Chapel in the back where I was able to have some quiet time and pray. It was so so nice to take some time away from it ALL. There is also a book for prayer request and I can always use a prayer. I will visit again.

Pauline book store has a wonderful selection of books. The sisters that work there are both friendly and informative. Although, I wish they had calander friendly stickers so that I can highlight catholic holidays and days of obligation for my entire family.

Great little shop with a diverse selection of both essentials and unique catholic books. Awesome sisters who run the store are worth a visit just to chat for a minute. Also a lovely chapel to quiet your heart in the midst of the bustling city.

Beautifully curated Catholic store.

One of the largest Catholic stores Ive visited. Huge selection of books but also crosses, DVDs, CDs, posters, icons, and gifts. There is even a small chapel in the back with a Tabernacle and prayer intention book. Run by the Daughters of St. Paul these Sisters are always ready to help and chat with you. #medianuns for more on them. Was able to quickly find what i was looking for with their help and find a couple of gifts.

This bookstore had a couple nuns behind the counter who were some of the nicest ladies EVER! Had a nice conversation with them about where we were from and why we were visiting. These gals were kind and caring and loved our conversation and so did we! Theres a lovely little chapel in the back for a quiet place to say a prayer. Also a place to write down a prayer request for others to pray about as they enter. This place is a beautiful calm amongst the chaos of downtown Chicago. I would highly recommend any person of faith to wander their way in. It was lovely and my wife and I loved it! May God bless these great women of faith and bless their work!

The volunteer who was working at the desk was very helpful and nice. The Sister who was there was also very nice and asked about the book that I bought here. She was a very sweet person and brought a smile to my face while I was there. It has a very good selection of books and religious items and was one of the few places in Chicago in which this is the case.

This is THE place for all things Roman Catholic: rosaries,statues but especially books. From papal encyclical to books on contemporary liturgical trends, to spiritual classics they have it.Its run by an order of women religious. They themselves are part of the attraction. To top it off theres a tiny chapel for prayer and meditation.Im no longer Roman but I love this place.

This store is a great place to browse. I often go here for gifts and especially love their card selection. I think its the best place for cards in Chicago. The employees are knowledgeable and the store is much more inviting than borders or Barnes and noble. I also like that they have a used section.

Pauline books and media is the place to escape from the craziness of the world. The moment you walk inside all of your cares and worries dissipate and the peace and comfort take all your cares away. Browse or buy, the kind sisters are always there to help you find what you are looking for.

In terms of volume, not huge, but in terms of diverse selection of things to buy, the diversity is great. There’s a lot to choose from, whether looking for holiday themed items, books on theosophical issues, rosaries, scapulars or other related items. The sisters are tender and really know their craft - vast wealth of knowledge within them.

Small shop with large variety of unique items for the Catholic congregation. Prayer cards of Saints, large books selection including childrens, religious metals, rosaries and greeting cards. Always a good selection and a casual, peaceful place to browse.

Amazing spiritual place with lovely staff

All the sisters there are knowledgeable and nice....especially.... Sr. Mary is always helpful and has a smile that will brighten anyones day.... She always has kind heartfelt words to say to all who come in. Great place to find and get Catholic books etcetera....no matter what season.... They have a chapel which is great to have in the middle of downtown.... Even if just for a quick break of the city noise...you can be sure to go there and pray and be in God presence.

It is a university library provided with excellent books for students
