**Beware**A few years ago (mid-late 2017) I brought my 2012 Tahoe to Illinois Battery. They quickly diagnosed that my battery was bad and gave me an excellent price, warranty, and a quality battery. Or so I thought. On Tuesday I brought my vehicle to my mechanic for a once over. To my surprise, an new AC Delco battery was installed because the battery that Illinois Battery Specialist sold me was swollen and on its last leg. My mechanic said that the battery was a low end generic battery, and he was surprised it lasted as long as it did. They are very friendly, and speedy, however, they are not providing a quality product, in my opinion.

I went to Illinois battery specialists because my friend recommended this place for being in business for a very long time, and because they provide exceptional service. They check your battery first, and if you decide to get one from them, they will install it for you. The warranty is up to 5 years, but based on my friend experience who buys baterries from them since forever, I expect to have no problems I was in and out from this place in under 15 minutes, battery and installation cost was around $100.

Great place to go to if you need a new battery. Very friendly staff, and the place has been here for many years, I believe almost a century. And you can tell by the way one of the brothers look he looks about a hundred years old. Great people very friendly, very funny highly recommend and I will continue to go back. Thank you for being great people Im telling everybody to go here they beat the price of a heavy duty battery for my truck by about 60 bucks. Battery still working good. Some of the other staff also went out of their way to clean my terminals and replace some wires, offer free.

Batteries are overpriced almost as expensive as the ones you will get from the dealer. Their selection is also limited and customer service is average. This will be the perfect place to go if they were not other ones close by. I was able to get a better battery from AutoZone for less money and we have better warranty. Shop around you might be able to find a better deal and better customer service.

Bunch of amateurs, whos not even able to fit the battery under the hood. Those specialists didnt expect I will check their work - the battery was freely dangling under the hood (!), which is very dangerous. With mumbling which supposed to justify their action, they fixed, but it cost me time. Never will go there again!

Best price anywhere on 6 volt battery for my 1948 Buick. Good long lasting battery as good or better than any. 5 years old and still going strong. If you have an old vehicle with 6 volt system this is the place to get a quality battery without paying ridiculous prices.

Will be back. Other places only had the manufacturer recommended batteries for my 07 Audi, which are very expensive. They saved me over $150 on a battery that is different but still ran tests on it and it functions perfectly with right voltage and fitment. 100yrs FAMILY owned.They did have to move, they arent manufacturing... But a battery swap was $100. My car is running fine so far.Look, this IS where cabbies in Chicago, remember Cabbies? Cabs? This is where anyone with a Medallion and a Chauffeur license, would bring their car when they are having battery/electrical problems.Diagnosis/ new battery for $110, including tax? Dealer is about $50 more.

Fantastic Experience.With auto supply/maintenance stores, I always worry I will be taken advantage of due to my lack of knowledge. IBS was phenomenal in eliminating my anxiety. They walked us through the whole battery replacement process. And even when they were running behind due to unforeseen circumstances, they totally owned up to it and explained what the issue was. Rather then providing a BS response, they were upfront about the delay and provides a realistic timeframe for when the situation was resolvable. Lastly, their pricing and fees were reasonable and absolutely more manageable then other shops I called.This shop was recommended to me by a family member and I will definitely pay it forward by forwarding anyone I know with battery issues to them.I completely advise this shop to anyone who need to replace their auto battery.
