Excellent company. The free diagnostic test was very helpful, the reconditioning service noticeably improved my 16 year old battery’s health for a very reasonable price, and if my battery fails in the future I have no doubt that Volts is the right place for the job.

I went for a hybrid battery swap on my 2007 Prius. Everyone I spoke to was very helpful, thorough, and kind throughout every step of the process. They also helped me understand how to maintain the battery and what to watch out for. The three year warranty is comforting. I got the red triangle of death on my ‘06 Prius on Friday, I called Volts on Saturday, and my car was back in my garage on Monday. They could’ve easily sold me on work I didn’t need but they were honest, transparent, and very efficient. Because of this very transparent experience they have a loyal client moving forward. Volts is the only place I’ll take my Prius to in the futureand thanks to them my ‘06 still has some life to it.

I was very impressed with this hybrid battery shop. Very professional, took less than an hour with a prior appointment.I went with the one year warranty option but I believe they have a couple other options as well.I also believe they do a few things to extend the life of the battery like cleaning the ventilation system of the battery.I definitely recommend them.

Originally called, as based on the reviews, I wanted to get a replacement for what I thought was my dying traction battery. While I was told, it could be your battery, but it could be other things, he proceeded to add clearly you havent been doing proper maintenance. This, based on a phone call. A 10 year old car with 160k miles, is going to have issues. Nothing like insulting your potential customers. When its time for a battery, Ill go elsewhere.

My 2008 Toyota Prius played dead and the dealership told me I needed a new battery. Fortunately I connected with VOLTS. John was great — he was diligent in working to assess the overall condition of the car and recommended that I recondition my battery. Excellent customer service and value! The folks at Volts helped get me out of a bind when my Ford Escape Hybrid 2009 high voltage traction battery charge dropped too low for it to start my engine. They were able to disable the battery and charge it for me for a reasonable price.This was after calling about 12 Ford dealerships, most of which told me they couldn’t charge the battery, and the two or three who thought they might be able to said that the cost would be at least $1000 even to look at it, and that they would have to order in special equipment with at least a six week lead time to do so.The helpful folks at Volts in Chicago provided a much better option for me!

I have a 2008 Prius with over 200K miles. A few weeks ago the main hybrid battery finally died. The dealership wanted $3,000 to replace it with a brand new one, so I looked around at some different options for a reconditioned battery. I talked to John who was patient and seemed knowledgeable answering my questions. For about a third of the cost of the dealership, I went with Volts and my car was ready the next day. The Prius has been running great with no problems and there’s a warranty on the battery as well. I had towed my car to volts because it was not starting and was showing a hybrid system error message. Unfortunately due to me disconnecting the 12 volt battery earlier the technician couldnt diagnose the problem due to that clearing the error code history. The reason Im giving a good review is because I didnt reconnect back the larger battery orange plastic disconnect and the car wouldnt start and he diagnosed that without charging me though the main hybrid error occurred before me disconnecting the orange disconnect plug . When the hybrid system error comes up again I know who to bring it to since the technician seemed very helpful and not eager to charge me though could have for the simpler diagnostic of the orange plastic battery disconnect not being reinstalled properly which shows me they arent eager to overcharge work and likely to give a fair price on their repairs.

If you have a battery that needs replaced this is who to use, they drove 200 miles to install it for me, very knowledgeable, communication was excellent, their technician was very nice, and did a great job.

You know they do great because of the warranties they offer.

The service call was efficient, professional, and an agreeable experience overall. The staff were pleasant and detailed in terms of the evaluation of my 2006 Toyota Prius Hybrid. They established that my hybrid battery, 14 years old with 170,000+ miles on it needed replacement which I had anticipated. The car has been in my possession now for a few days and is as good as new. The warranty, 36 months or 60,000 miles is notable and a great relief. I am 74 years old and I anticipate that my Prius will be my last car, or so I intend. I love that car. Saved a ton of money going to Voltz. They repaired my high voltage battery on my 05 Prius. Did it in an about an hour. Waste of time and money going to the dealership.

The Toyota dealer wanted almost 3.5 times more money than what Volts charged me for a new Prius battery. I was only charged the quoted price. It took about an hour to install the battery. I would highly recommend Volts for any of your battery needs.
