Went on a Sunday with some out of town friends and we decided to try the members area with a day pass. The price was $100 for the pass plus a mandatory $25 tip for the staff. Cutting fee for outside cigars is $25 so buy your cigars there. The cigar selection was mostly all the big manufacturers and very few boutique brands. Prices were typical of Chicago. There is a dress code. It is BYOB. The physical plant is very impressive with period furniture. We sat on the second floor near the bar and the bartender was very attentive cleaning ashtrays and bringing ice. They serve coffee and soft drinks. All are ala carte. The background music was Frank Sinatra and 1960s hits. Very few people were there and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. I enjoyed it, but the $125 entry fee tempered my enthusiasm somewhat. If you are a history buff or a cigar nerd, go at least once.

I like this place very much, I really enjoy the taste of cigars, the clerk is also very enthusiastic about sharing cigars, and I also know good friends.

Cool spot, staff is knowledgeable and the selection is varied and interesting. Making the outside members only is annoying, but the real reason for dropping a star is the cigar I bought must have dried out at some point.. Disappointing in a 20$ cigar. Ill still come back as they have some cigars I want to try and Im hoping the next one will be better.

Good selection of cigars. Limited free area to smoke. You will need to pay $45/person to seat in their patio or $100/ person to access the mansion on top of your cigars purchase. Is it worth it?

Make sure you are a member if you are not they will wait till you buy the cigar they will, light it up, cut it let you sit down and tell you only members can smoke there you have to turn it off. If you try and stay they will call the cops. Extremely rude people not worth the hassle, surprised they have any good reviews at all.

Spent most of my time outside. You got to be business causal to go inside the lounge. Im on vacation so I not being stuffy with the collor stuff. Great service otherwise. I recommend this to brothers and sisters of the leaf.

Laaammmeeee. Came here after dinner was going to smoke Davidoffs. They wouldnt allow to sit on the patio and stated it had to be business causal we were all wearing jeans and button down or collared shirts. Why lose 400.00 in business. Stupid place

Biggs is very unique - it is one of the few freestanding mansions in the world where you can smoke a cigar! The Lanesborough in London doesnt even come close, and thats a great place to smoke. As far as Chicago goes, Biggs has the best cigar selection, pricing, and accessories in the city - terrific merchandisers! They carry a wide variety of high-end cigars like Davidoff and Padron. They always have boxes of these cigars on hand too. The staff is first class, well-versed in cigars, and the service is excellent. Although, the club is an exclusive private membership, they offer guests a pass for purchase to enjoy the club. If you are a cigar aficiando, you really need to check out Biggs - it is my favorite place in the world (literally) to smoke cigars!

Excellent cigar shop in the heart of downtown Chicago! Selection is great, service was great, and the atmosphere is relaxing. I will return to this location when traveling to Chicago!

Biggs is a membership cigar club. $3000 a year for a locker and $75 per person for a day pass. Great humidor. Great service. The mansion itself is fantastic.If you are a member or buy a day pass, you can BYOB on the second floor. There is a smoking section for free on the main but no BYO.Big comfortable furniture with surprisingly good ventilation. Not a cheap stop but very nice. If you are going for a few hours its worth the day pass because you arent paying $40 a shot for a good bourbon...

Wonderful selection and just a beautiful shop. Inside and out. I was so busy looking at everything I didnt take any pictures of the actual shop. Probably the nicest shop Ive been to and the gentleman working there was first class.

Horrible experience. Its the type of place that tries to act as if its upscale but, doesnt level up and lacks customer service based on how much money they think you have. Never again

After we spent over $100 dollars on cigars, they lit them up cut them and then tell us only members can smoke here. Very bad service never coming back! They should have the option of 1/4 of a star!

Seems like a cool place if you have a membership. If you have no membership you get to enjoy overpriced sticks and a very uncomfortable looking smoking lounge with a small TV.

I suppose its great if youre a member, otherwise youre restricted to 6 indoor seats.

I had really high hopes for this place. Let’s start out with the good. The customer service, atmosphere were top notch. Literally one of my favorite places I have ever had a cigar. Great neighborhood vibe in the city. The two guys working were super friendly. The selection was pretty good. A solid B. Pricing was very good for being in a big city. So why 3 stars?The cigars were just not kept well. I tried 3 different cigars, two from the humidor and one from one of the display case out front and they all have the same sour taste which generally means the humidity is kept way to high.I asked one of the guys were they kept the humidity and he said between 65 and 75.That explains a lot. Too much of a fluctuation in my opinion.Possibly a temporary thing that I experienced since I’ve only been here once for what it’s worth.

Closest cigar lounge to the Amtrak station with good hours (they opened until midnight on a weekday.) Large, quality selection. Great staff. Cozy non-members lounge area, however it is small and a good idea to call before heading out there to see if theres room.

I needed some cigars for a special occasion and Britt was able to help me find the right ones! Super helpful considering I knew nothing about cigars and didnt know what I wanted!

This is a historic building in Chicago, which makes it special. Visitors are treated well. Brit was especially attentive, answering questions with grace and making sure everyone felt welcome.

Great cigars but unfortunately poor service. I bought several cigars though there was no offer to assist, after smoking a fine cigar in the lounge, I liked it so much I bought several more. Walking the city with a pack, I asked for a scrap of cardboard to fold over my cigars or slide into the baggie. I was told curtly they have none. Seems odd that a shop would not have any boxes, boxes for boxes, or packing of any kind? I know there was an open box on the floor next to the counter.

Great selection of cigars at various prices. All prices were fair. Cigars are of great quality. The service was great and the host was very knowledgeable about cigars. It is BYOB. The area for non-members is relatively small so you may or may not get seating to hang out and puff on your cigar. They do offer paid passes to go up to the members area. I would recommend this spot highly.

Was in Chicago for business so a colleague and I stumbled across this fine establishment for a cigar. The selection at Biggs mansion is one of the best Ive ever seen. The service was extremely helpful and prices were fair. I was only in the public lounge, but it was great. Everyone was sitting around talking to each other even though we did not know each other. I will come here again next time Im in Chicago and will probably purchase a day pass in order to see the other 2 floors that are member only.

Always good to have a cigar in a cool ass old mansion with multiple rooms, leather seats, flat screen TVs- Man Cave. Very good selection of cigar. A bit pricey but thats probably because of the ridiculous taxes on tobacco in this state. Pretty sure no alcohol is allowed, its a private club with daily or short term memberships. Great place. Was there for Jerry Reindsdorf event. Met Fred, great guy. Im going to join next time I go by. Looking forward to visiting there Wednesday nights. Ive been involved in the cigar industry for over 20 years and I cant imagine a better venue to enjoy cigars and friends.

Stopped by yesterday, first time, after a simple Google search looking for a place to buy a nice smoke and enjoy it on-site. Super cool building, very old and renovated. Three different indoors settings to enjoy (big leather chairs, etc) and a patio. Selection is top notch and the staff very professional, a making my 90 minute stop very non rushed.. Long Ashes!!

Dont be fooled by the exterior of this place when you pull up... These guys have one of the best collection of premium cigars I have seen... Great little comfortable lounge in which to enjoy your cigar, as well.

Cigars were well kept. Decent prices. Ventilation in the free smoking area needs a lot of work. The air did not move at all. They should use it for physics experiments.

It was nice, a little more pricier for the cigars and on the upscale end of cigars, but pretty nice experience to go and check out at least once. My friend Raph and I sat outside in the public smoking area.

One of my favorite spots in Chicago these days. Im not a member, but Ive been as a guest several times and have attended events there as well. Their cigar selection is expansive, its BYOB, and you can order food from q BBQ next door. Definitely worth checking out!

Not the place to go if you want to have an adult beverage with your cigar which I find outrageous. Lounge fee is ludicrous if you want to drink. My opinion Iwan Ries is better, just across town.way lower lounge fee for a day and you can have a drink with your smoke.

Hands down the nicest cigar lounge Ive ever had the pleasure of visiting. Its well with the $75 membership fee to gain access to their upper 2 levels. Its BYO alcohol, and theres a CVS 1block away that is well stocked. They have attendants that do an outstanding job of catering to patrons with glasses and ice. They have an excellent variety of high-end cigars. You will not be disappointed.

A friend of mine is a member there and I recently visited with him. When entering the humidor to purchase a cigar I was followed with no acknowledgement to help. After my purchase I was continued to be followed and watch during my visit. The manager (Ulysies) of the establishment appeared to encourage the staff to watch certain people clearly just relaxing minding their own business. In asking my friend about my observation he advised that this behavior has became an issue since the Manager has started about a year or so ago. This is very unprofessional and a uncomfortable situation which is intended to be a relaxing environment. I will not be returning to this establishment and will take my business elsewhere where I will feel comfortable in enjoying a nice cigar.

Biggs Mansion is a awesome gem hidden in a busy area. Walking past it you may not even notice it’s a Cigar lounge. The public lounge is cozy and comfortable. I have had excellent help every time I’ve been there. The cigar selection is great. They have a little bit of everything and a lot of the harder to find brands. I’m from NWI and when we make a trip to the city it’s definitely worth the stop.
