If I could give milk handmade six stars here, I would do it without hesitation! I ordered a large box of candles and other delicious smelling goodies from milk handmade for my holiday gifts this year. I ordered early because I knew the pressure to deliver on time this year would be huge because everyone was warning about it! Hard to ignore all the warnings!! My order came promptly with a handwritten note from Hallie, the fantastic owner. This shop is true salt of the earth, with people who truly care. Shopping is still fun because of shops like Milk Handmade. Do yourself a favor and order the Olive Branch candle and get the big one.

Milk is one of my favorite places to shop -- I think 90 percent of my wardrobe is from this store at this point. Hallie is so friendly and lovely and welcoming. She has such impeccable taste and also the best candles on Earth. I buy at least 7 per season. Pine Forest forever. Highly recommend visiting the store or shopping online.

I love this lil store! Anytime I need a present for a friend I just raid the wonderful selection at Milk. They always have something new and fun ... and the candles they have are aaaamazing. Plus Heather that works on Fridays and Saturdays is the best person ever and can help you pick out something adorable for yourself. Yay for a great local business!!

Ive been a Milk shopper since it opened (and I lived down the street). The pieces Ive bought from Milk, whether clothing or jewelry or accessories, are that right mix of trend and timeless style. I feel like Ill feel cool in them for years to come, and that theyll last that long, too.As for the shop itself, it manages to convey all the best elements of Chicago street style: its elevated without being unattainable; theres always the right balance of bright colors and black, or earthy and shiny; youre surrounded by statements but things still manage to stand out.With everything thats gone on in 2020 (and now that I no longer live down the street), Im loving being able to shop Milk online via their website and Instagram. Hallie and her team are so helpful and responsive. Ive asked them to measure clothing, group items together that Ive bought separately, suggest substitutions when something I wanted was out of stock, etc. Their responses are quick, thorough, and upbeat — I appreciate them more than ever!

I started shopping at Milk Handmade in 2016 when I was living in Uptown and was so thrilled to have stumbled upon this gem of a store. Hallie, the store owner, carefully curates a beautiful selection of merchandise from different diverse vendors across Chicago (though some are from other states as well) as well as some of their own private label Milk Handmade items. Some of my favorite goodies are: Milk Handmade candles (Horchata), Soap Distillery soaps and candles (Beer and Cigarettes), Neva Opet leather goods (phenomenal quality leather backpacks and purses), and Sunday Standard facial products (the day and night oils are life changing).

This store is simply a treasure to visit. A beautiful little boutique with warm and friendly customer service. They have stocks ranging from lovely casual and official clothes, jewelry, shoes, bags and scarfs. They have anything you may need and want. They are very competitive in the market but affordable. I highly recommend them with out any hesitation.

I really love shopping here. They have lovely clothes from designers who are local (including the Milk label itself) and some that are a little farther away (e.g. Canada, off the top of my head), and there is a focus on selling clothes that are ethically produced. In my opinion, the clothes walk a really neat line between contemporary and timeless; here I can find and buy pieces that I feel confident I will be able to incorporate into my wardrobe for years to come.The shops employees are super helpful, offer good feedback, and never pressure you into a purchase. This place is such a gem!

Love love love this little shop! Im here pretty regularly to browse for new items. They have the very best earring selection in the city (IMO), and the staff is lovely. Love their candles too!

I get my lotions, soap, and candles here. They do not cause my sensitive skin to break out or itch. Its good quality, handmade and smells lovely, which I love. I cant use the regular bath&body works stuff or anything alike. So finding this store was great.

My girlfriend loves this place! If youre shopping in Andersonville definitely stop in. Cant go wrong getting a gift here or treating yourself.

Great shop in Andersonville. They always have new things to check out and the owner does a great job of curating a mix of things youll love. And everything is handmade, which is pretty cool.

Milk-- They have one of a kind items, primarily clothing. And some body fragrances, which smelled great. Not much decor inside, it is kept simple.
