Bright, airy space thats perfect for getting work done. And where else can you get a latte for $2? Only downside is that there are not a lot of outlets around -- so you are tethered to the high stools if you need to charge. Still, a nice place to take a break from the WFH life.
Capital One Bank treats its clients documents badly. Title for pay off auto loan was not sent and as a client I did not receive my title on my car. This Capital One was sent by USPS, but even now, after the fully paid auto loan, I do not have my title on hand. This is the boorish and disrespectful attitude of the Capital One staff towards the client of Capital One.
I honestly just love this bank. It’s so amazing to see how they’ve partnered with a coffee shop to make my banking experience even better.
Love this place! Having a Capital one card gives you 50% off drinks (Peets coffee) in the cafe, and they always offer a complimentary cookie with purchases it seems. Staff behind the counter and the greeter always seem friendly. The cafe features 2 floors with various tables, counters, and workspaces with wifi and AC throughout the building. Having the ATM in the place is convenient too. Ive started going there during the week to work for part or all of the day.
I live very close by and I’ll still go to lounge in their cozy set up (pre covid and hopefully again soon). Delicious and affordable coffee with constantly changing seasonal items. Being a capital one card holder and getting 50% doesn’t hurt either!
Needed to deposit a money order, which I was pleasantly surprised I could do via the advanced ATM systems they have on-site. Staff member was extremely friendly and helped me get started with the deposit. These cafes are a great solution in lieu of having an actual Capital One branch. Hoping to have a cafe like this in Milwaukee pop up.
Love the banking service. I find it a little weird that they don’t actually have bank tellers in Chicago though.
Once you get past the weirdness of this kind of being a bank and kind of being a cafe, this is a great spot to get some Peets coffee and get some work done. WiFi is fast and there are plenty of places to sit (including meeting rooms and nooks) and the baristas are great. You get a free drink with a Capital One card!
It’s a nice place to sit down in and get a drink.
Went in with no clue on what to expect and my wife and I felt welcomed imedietly as soon as we walked in. The receptionist answered the questions we had and the cherry on top was when we got offered two free coffees this definitely made us to start Banking with Capital One.
Had to come in for my account. Dre was awesome, great staff. Just that I didnt like as a cardholder that theres no desk or office and there was not really a privacy space to talk over the phone. I understand that its a cafe but not great for banking business. Other than that, awesome space and service.
This place is comfortable and cozy but there is a huge lack of outlet space. Unless you can nab a spot along the outer perimeter of the cafe, you’ll have to awkwardly stretch your charger around other people and across tables to the nearest wall. You’d think a cafe would be aware that people come here to work and would provide ample opportunity to plug in devices!
I stopped into the Capital One location today seeking help for a credit card that I misplaced. After chatting with a staff member, I decided to order a replacement card. Rather than ordering it for me, she told me to open up the Capital One mobile app. Of course this just so happened to be the day that I left my phone at home. I had my ID on hand and I asked her to lookup my account. She started to reluctantly open up a laptop but then shut it saying that I will likely need my phone to order a new card. What’s the point of talking to a staff member if you’re just going to tell me to handle my issue on the mobile app? That’s a customer service fail in my opinion. That aside, the cafe looks like a good spot to grab a cup of coffee. There was plenty of space to sit and work. I’ll give this place another try for coffee or pastries but won’t be in here for their ‘customer service’.
This place is awesome and has really grown on me over the past couple of months. I come regularly Mondays and Wednesdays to get my complimentary free coffee with my cap one card. The staff is also very nice. They do keep the cafe quite cold in my opinion just as a heads up, as I always bring a long sleeve shirt or sweatshirt.
I come here pretty often to get work done overall the space is great. Its quite, clean, the staff making coffee/tea are pleasant. Two complaints one is the chairs are the least bit comfortable for anything longer than 30min/1hr and there are minimal outlets around the tables on the 2nd floor. The rounded back chairs that are available in the meeting rooms should be provided throughout the entire cafe. Updated chairs and adding a few more outlets are truly the only thing needed to improve that space to perfect.
So they can’t make drinks properly here! Don’t waste your money and go to the real Peet’s Coffee. The baristas here are not trained at the same level.
Great place to work/study/read. Music is at a reasonable level generally, and if youre a Cap One cardholder, the drinks are a steal at 50% off. I also love that there are some seats that also work while standing. The only downsides are that the drinks are sometimes lower-quality than youd expect from a Peets and there is a serious dearth of outlets.
Peets Coffee is here too. I work from home so this is great place for a change of scenery. Awesome floor to ceiling windows and tons of pods to collaborate and do work. Really cool thing Capital One is doing with their retail space.
I am proud to have several capital one cards in my wallet, my visit today was phenomenal; received the VIP treatment. I just stopped in to make a deposit via the ATM in the vestibule and was not familiar with the process. While I looked confused, I decided to ask for help and K.K. greeted me as soon as I walked in. I asked for assistance and she was eager to help, walked me through the entire deposit process. To top it off, K.K. gave me a ticket for a free Peet’s drink and told me about the 50% discount offer on drinks going forward. I’ve previously spent a lot of my money at Peet’s, only regret is not stopping by at the Capital One Cafe @ Southport sooner. I’m happy with Capital One overall, Capital One is the only company that I trust with my money, and I’m glad they have a budget for such a modern cafe.

Great idea. I rather come do schiil homework/projects with friends here since i get a discount with my card lol. They just need more outlets and were gucci
Stay away!!! Ive gone to this place for over a year and had good service. But I went a few days ago for the last time. Denise waited on me and refused to give me what I requested. It was the veggie sandwich without egg and cheese. I have been ordering and getting this same order for over a year. But she told me she cant take the egg and cheese off!!! What?!?!? To make matters worse, as I was leaving, she shooed me out with a hand gesture. This was so embarrassing in front of other customers!!! And I have been a regular customer for over a year!! I came back in to report this and I was not offered anything to make it right, nothing but a weak sorry. I called the manager the next day and got some corporate party line that obviously did not make good on this horrible treatment and refusal to serve me my request. I have never been to a place where a rude server takes rank over the offended customer. My money will go elsewhere now! This is just the cafe. Wonder what the banking service is like! Stay away.
Great cafe! You can also open a bank account with Capital One. The staff is incredibly (both at the cafe and bank) and the coffee is excellent. Love this place.
Easy access to withdrawals and deposits for Capital One customers (and others!). The addition of food and coffee makes this a new regular stop on my way to work down in the loop.Truly deserving of a five star rating!
Great idea. I rather come chill/ homework/projects with friends here since i get a discount with my card lol. They just need more outlets and were gucci
A great place to come and work. Lots of nooks to have some quiet and privacy. Lots of power outlets and USB ports to power things. Good cafe with Petes coffee. My kids love the muffins. Can deposit cash at the ATMs as well.
Best place to work if you work from home. Lots of freebies. However I wish there were more outlets for charging computers or cell phones.
Clean and bright with ample seating options! Definitely a nice place to grab a coffee and get some work done.
Great cafe for getting some work done. The cafe embodies a pretty smart concept actually. It serves as a casually set-up capital one branch, as a quick ATM stop for capital one customers, as a spot to host business meetings, and as a typical coffee shop (they partnered with Peets Coffee) for those like me who enjoy sipping on a cup of coffee while getting some work done. The cafe has an open-space layout, with various seating arrangements (with a sufficient number of outlets) and even includes little nooks for a more private option. The coffee and sweets are pretty good, the baristas are nice, the background music has the perfect volume (not too loud), and the environment is always pleasant (normally other people working away on their laptops).
Love this place already! People are very nice and welcoming. Will be back to hang out and drink some good coffee from Peet’s!
Open, airy, sunny workspace with friendly staff and FREE meeting/conference rooms available (some reservable, some first-come first-served). They even reserve some rooms specifically for non-profit organizations and representatives
Spacious, clean, and not too noisy. A great place to spend some time studying, working, or reading.
What are the close or open and I’m able to make a deposit anytime.
Really fun concept. Great coffee. I’d hang out at one of these.
I live being able to walk in and pay my credit card bills!! Im gonna pay my cards from other companies off and just keep my capital one cards!!
Perhaps its good as a coffee shop, but not if you are looking for anything more than coffee and an atm. Questions about auto finance? call the 800 number...You cant tell the capital one employees apart from the patrons, and there is no one to talk to about loans or credit cards....why does this place even exist? What a complete waste of money.I cant for the life of me figure out why Capital One bothers to pay for this place. It has nothing to do with banking, or customer service, or ANYTHING remotely useful. The smug, condescending, obnoxious person who works there is one of the rudest people Ive ever met.Definitely inspired me to go back to a traditional bank as soon as i can.
What an amazing space and a great way to reconceptualize modern banking while also providing a service to entrepreneurs like myself.
A great, sunny spot to get your project done with some good coffee.
Great place to do work. Staff is great and coffee is yummy!!
Love this place the brownies are so good and love the private room for studying
Love this place, the coffee and the staff except for one male barista, who is so slow making a cup of coffee in the mornings that I’m forced to go elsewhere
Great atmosphere great customer service so far so good!
This is one of Southports best kept secrets. I know youre thinking - Ugh, more corporate garbage on Southport. But this is a corporate store that is actively engaging with the neighborhood, doing good and providing a beautiful workspace for people. It is a beautiful space with floor to ceiling windows, abundant seating and plenty of outlets. There are no outlets at the tables near the front but there are plenty at the high counter that faces south and plenty in the back of the space. So lets get to the best parts of this shop: 1. They serve Peets coffee with real baristas who are super, duper friendly. This isnt a place that just serves coffee. They have a full Peets menu with lattes, cold brew and all the other drinks youd expect from a Peets. 2. They serve baked goods from West Town Bakery. Huge props to them for keeping it local. 3. All drinks are half price with your Capital One card. If you are a cardholder, they even have happy hours twice a week where your drink is totally free. ANY drink, ANY size! Right now, the happy hours are Mondays from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. and Fridays from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. 4. The staff never tries to sell you anything. Literally never. You will not be bothered when youre working. I already have a car loan, credit cards and bank account through CapOne so its not like they could sell me anything anyway. 5. NO KIDS in here! This is not a kid friendly space, and I hope it stays that way. Obviously, they are allowed by the stroller mafia hasnt invaded this place. Its not really suited for kids anyway. 6. Its a great space to work if youre one of the millions that works from home right now. Its quiet enough. Its bright. Coffee. Outlets. What more do you need? I am shocked that its not busier. I think people think its weird or sales(ish) or a bank or who knows what. But come in. Its fabulous!
Tried to open a checking account multiple times and failed every time. The staff was overmatched, felt like it was miss-advertised, luckily staff was very friendly, coffee was average
Awesome concept, great customer service. If you’re a capitalone card member you get 50% off coffee!!
The pods were a lifesaver when the electricity went out at my house an hour before I was scheduled to host a webinar.
Half price on one hot or cold beverage, not ready made.Special coffee hour on Monday and Wednesday for two hours in the morning, free, show member of Capital One (account).
They need one of these in every city and every college globally
Sadly only one in Chicago which they had more... At least in the loop... Staff friendly, sometimes when banking they give out free vouchers redeemable at Petes coffee insideAgain sadly only one in Chicago
Great !!!!! 👌
