Try the new restaurant inside — the falafel sandwich is so delicious! Also, even though I’m shy, I always have a pleasant conversation or simple exchange of smiles with the staff. They’re so friendly and helpful.

Why is this the one store I leave my credit card at? Great selection of items and the addition of a middle eastern grill with excellent hummus and falafel, best in the hood!

Always stocked well. Small place, but theres a ton of stuff here. The owner really knows how to maximize his space. The store is well organized as well. Fresh food and coffee. Convenient ATM and good service. Its a nice quick stop and everything you expect from a convenience store.

I go to the store almost daily. They are nice and respectful. They were very helpful at times I needed help. The food they have is tasty! I would definately recommand

Horrible customer service! Guy behind the counter was busy on his phone to notice me, then asked for 2$ in quarters back, before I could finish Nope Live across the street and Im a daily customer, at least I was! Never had a problem there getting quarters, usually accommodating. No need for the rudeness! The owner is nice, and its sad you lost business for one bad employee!

My husband and I live around the corner from Food Town and absolutely LOVE coming here for snacks, drinks, one-off essentials, you name it. The people that work there are the absolute nicest, especially the married couple who owns it. Beyond grateful to have them in our community!

Great little grocery store in Poynor Park if you need the essentials like bread milk and coffee. They have fresh sandwiches two which are homemade and taste amazing. Worth checking out.

I have never had a bad experience at Foodtown. The employees are always nice and have fantastic customer service. I think this is family owned and you can tell about how they truly care about the people that they interact with on a daily basis. Whether I need to pick up a snack or just a cup of coffee or something for dinner I actually prefer stopping here then going anywhere else. I wish I could give a higher rating than 5. Check it out

I shop at Food Town because they have a good selection of everyday items. They also make really good quesadillas. I dont get to stop by as much as I used to because I moved to another area. But I still pop in when in when I can. And wow, the boys behind the counter are such studs!

Over charged my card by four dollars, did not refund the overcharge, or offer any kind of restoration, will never do business with again.

These folks are great and as a local mom and pop store in Chicago, very helpful to patrons of the store. There has not been one time I have walked into the place and not been offered assistance or help. The shelves are always stocked and the staff always friendly. What I really like about this place are the prices. They are not like some of the other mom and pops in town that charge super high prices to stay in business. Instead, this store leverages excellent customer service as part of what they do. They do not need to charge high prices because they have enough loyal customers who return. Many a time I have come in here instead of the Jewel across the street because I wanted to patronize the business.
