I had a breakfast style chicken sausage sandwich on a vanilla bean glazed donuts. The donuts was fluffy, and the sandwich turn out sweet and salty well balanced. It was good for a sweet tooth without eating too much carbohydrates. My friend had regular chicken sandwich and a pistachios donuts. She loved them as well. Will definitely try some other flavors next time.
Visted Water Tower after a year and saw Do-Rite Donuts. Of course, the majority of the donuts were sold out, except for a handful left. I ordered the last Coconut Cream Donut, which I paid $4 for. The donut was disappointing. It was dry and very sweet. The cream tasted artificial. Never again will I purchase a donut from there. For $4, I rather spend it at Stans Donuts where I know every donut is soft even late into the afternoon.
Yes first review!!!!!!!!Best chicken sandwich ever...Not chick fil a. not mcd. Not burger king...Perfect toasted soft bun....Generous filet of chicken with the lettuce..Hands down the BEST........When a donut place beat u to chicken sandwich...Thats a strong message...Right in front of Lego store...Cant miss it...
I love the avacado sandwich with dark matter ☕! It is a perfect way to start the day! But what is best is the warm, friendly greeting, the fact that they remember my name and order, and even when busy, still put their heart into making the sandwich taste amazing! Its perfect every time! The water tower location is best for this reason, and there is more room to sit!
This place really exceeded my expectations from a food stand inside a mall. We already had a late lunch so by the evening we were a little hungry but not enough to bother with a full sit-down meal. Grabbed a couple donuts and some tenders from here for us to snack on just before leaving the mall. The guy running the operation was incredibly helpful. Ended up sharing one donut and saving the other for breakfast the next day. Tenders were very good as well and the kids made them disappear quickly.
We walked up to order at 6:57pm. The extremely rude employee told us their kitchen was closed. When I asked her when it usually closed or where there might be signage to indicate such she replied you know it was a slow day and all of our machines are off now. I asked when that happened and she replied now at 7. It was not quite 7. She said she was sorry. It was not very unconvincing. I am taking the time to write this because clearly they are not open until 8.
Ive passed this kiosk in Water Tower Place many many times. Tonight I finally decided to stop and grab donuts for the fam. There was 1 person working. I had 4 people in front of me and 1 in back. The young lady working there was most unpleasant - maybe I would be too though, given she was on her own... I bought 3 donuts - Old Fashioned Buttermilk, Frosted with sprinkles and a Vanilla Bean glazed. Just got home and made myself a cup of tea, really looking forward to 1/2 of my Old Fashioned, it was at the bottom of the bag. I picked up the first time and they were hard as bricks. I got mine from the bottom, same. Hard. I broke .a piece off and it is not cooked all the way through. Its really unappetizing. Maybe I hit them on a bad day? I dont know, but it looks like there are enough people that like this place that they wont miss my business.
So delightful!! We had a dozen donuts and they were all soo delicious. I think this was my favorite raised donut. It was so thick and airy. We couldn’t eat them all and finished them the next day. Day old and they were still soo so good. Coffee wasn’t anything spectacular but the donuts were worth the money for sure!
Southern chicken sandwich and fries both were excellent here. One of the best quick bites Ive had in Chicago!
Black Matter coffee is the best. GF donut was delicious.
Recently discovered this place in Water Tower place on the floor above FOODLIFE. I stopped there around 8:15am. no line....no wait...... OMG! SCRUMPTIOUS specialty donuts ! Iced hazelnut Nutella coffee!! Very rich and YUMMY....exceeded my expectations! This is not a store but rather a stand on the floor with tables and seating. Gourmet donuts. Their old fashioned donuts are their signature. Sooo good plus they also service chicken which I havent tried yet but will for lunch! MUST TRY!! Possibly better than Stans Donuts and theirs are some of my favorites!! Donuts are a buck and 75 cents at the least and the large iced coffee was around 4 bucks.... Kinda pricey but totally worth your time!!
Donuts arent bad, they have some pretty good flavors. But it is pricey, and the chicken is a let down for how much it costs. Not crunchy or flakey, just kinda soggy and sad.
Great donuts, one of my favorite spots in chicago for a dense and delicious donut.
Great donuts and great customer service - highly recommended!
Amazing donut . Always fresh . Never fails to impress.
Do-rite donuts and a chicken Sandwich
The best artisan Chicago donuts, you wont be disappointed!
I recommend the Buttermilk donut.
