What a concept! Buying a mattress online is so obviously difficult. You cant test it out before purchasing. But the Sleep Sherpa eliminates the problem. The staff were super helpful. I came in with about 5 mattresses that I wanted to test out. We tested them all and made a decision on the spot. Im not sure which one we would have chosen without testing any, but I dont think it would have been the one we went with. We ordered while we were at the store! If you get analysis paralysis while attempting to make a major online purchase, this is the place for you!

I’m a tough customer when it comes to mattress buying. I’ve got multiple health issues that create some specific needs. Mattress buying in the past I’ve always had to decide which of my needs was most important and sacrifice the rest...which doesn’t end well. But Glenn listened to all my concerns and what I was looking for and helped me find the mattress that best balanced ALL of my needs. I came across Sleep Sherpa while searching for a new mattress online. It seems that most of the top reviewed mattresses nowadays are from online retailers. But I didnt feel comfortable making such a major purchase sight unseen. In comes Sleep Sherpa. The store is basically a showroom of most of the major online mattress brands. Joe, who helped me, was extremely knowledgeable about the different mattress features. Not pushy or annoying at all. I got to lie down and try out every mattress. When I had made a decision, he placed my order through the mattress manufacturers website, but was able to get me a better discount than the site was offering. I would highly recommend Sleep Sherpa. They are legit. It is a great concept to enable people to see and try out online mattresses before ordering. They have a great selection and are extremely easy and pleasant to deal with.

This was one of the best buying experiences I’ve ever had. I walked in with my own research and my mind pretty well maid up. Glenn, the general manager did not try to dissuade me from what I came in looking for. He encouraged me to give it a try then asked some questions about my sleep habits. From that he guided my partner and I to some options that completely changed my opinion of what I wanted (in a good way). There was nothing pushy or overly sales about his approach. Not only do I feel he helped us select the perfect mattress for us but he was also able to save us on our purchase. Staff was helpful- even helped narrow down choices based on what we were looking for and sleep style. No markup from online prices. He’s the kind of guy you want helping you: friendly, informative, and not at all pushy. He asked us some questions and had us try a few test mattresses, and then walked us through several options that met our needs. (Out of maybe 30 mattresses in store, we narrowed it down to 5 or 6 solid options.) He was a good sport, answered all my questions and listened to me debate options out loud. I took lots of time to make a choice, and he gave us the space and time to explore.The company doesn’t work on commission, per say, but they make money from company promo codes applied to purchases. Glenn was transparent about the process and helped me purchase the bed directly from the website using a code, which dropped the price by $400.I bought the Lytton Comfort Firm mattress, but I debated long and hard between it and the Plush. They are both dreamy. When my mattress arrived two weeks later, I tried it out for two weeks but I concluded that I needed the softer mattress. I felt awkward about it, but I went back to the store. Glenn remembered me with a smile and quickly helped me figure out an exchange without a problem. Later, he also called and emailed me to make sure that everything went smoothly. My husband and I have been online shopping for a new mattress as well as the nightmare experience of going to Mattress Firm for close to a year. I am so beyond happy we found Sleep Sherpa. It was a completely different experience. As soon as we walked in the door, the energy in the showroom was so chill. No hard or aggressive sales tactics. Glenn listened to what we were looking for and directed us to try a few options. We were in and out in less than an hour, and our new bed should arrive within the next week. I bought my mattress at Sleep Sherpa, because my friend purchased hers from them this summer and had a great experience with Joe and Glenn. Glenn didn’t try to sell me on anything when I walked in. The first question he asked was how I sleep (side, back, stomach), and made suggestions between bed materials, not specific brands or models on the showroom floor. I was very honest in that I told him I was going to other mattress stores in River North to assess my options, and he gave his positive/constructive feedback in regards to all of the brands I was exploring. I ultimately decided to come back not only because I liked the bed (obviously) but because of the customer service. Glenn gave me a scary-accurate delivery date, provided detail as to how to dispose of my old mattress sustainably, threw in a free pillow, etc. He even ran back into the store to call me back after-hours to place my order on a very busy day. All in all, solid experience and I would highly recommend.

Wow!!! This was the most amazing experience Ive ever had purchasing a bed and a genius idea for a bedding store.Prior to learning about Sleep Sherpa, I did a lot of research on beds. One of the challenges I had was that all of top rated beds could only be purchased online.I also visited a traditional mattress store and felt like I was being pushed into the most expensive bed.After finding out that I could actually try online mattresses at Sleep Sherpa, I was very excited and visited the store.Glenn was incredible. He is the nicest and most knowledgeable person that Ive met when it comes to mattresses.In no way did I ever feel like I was being pushed into a sale. Unreal customer service and guidance. I came in after experiencing back pack in my lumbar and decided it was time for a new bed. I had done done research online but couldn’t decide on a bed because there were no showrooms to try them out in. I found that mattress firm had the purple but I wanted to see more like the nectar and helix midnight. Found the Sherpa and based on reviews I was hopeful but damn.. this place one delivers. You don’t feel like you’re being attacked by a sales person. You walk in and you are guided. Just guided. I ended up going with a brand that I had never heard about because these guys know their stuff. Long story short I fell in love with Lytton comfort plush and the adjustable frame it was on and got an INSANE deal on it. Glenn is the MAN!! Lots of referrals coming your way. 6/5 stars.

I just want to start off by saying that buying your mattress at Sleep Sherpa is an amazing and stress free experience. Our salesman Glenn was amazing!! Went on a Monday right at open with my wife and kiddo. We went after our heads were spinning trying to decide on a mattress by online reviews and company adverts alone. SO GLAD WE CAME! We had thought we wanted a helix or brooklyn bedding and instead we walked out with an order for a completely different mattress, the winkbed. If I had just ordered the other brands online I would have returned it for sure! Apparently online mattress shops have a 30% return rate, but sleep sherpa has a 5% return rate because you can actually try them out! The place has all the well known bed-in-box internet mattress brands you can try out. There were about 50 or so different mattresses to test.Parker helped us. And by helped us I mean the dude was awesome! He had us do a comfort test first then suggested various mattresses based on our preferences. He was super knowledgeable about types, foams, gels, etc etc etc. Best part is the store gets a commission from the companies so they are in no way going to push a bed type on you. They collect a commision by you ordering in store or through their website. We actually bought a mattress that was cheaper than what we came for. So no hokey sales pitch. Just a dude named Parker that loves mattresses and wants you to love yours too!Come checkout time we decided to just let Parker handle it in-store instead of us doing it online. He plugged in all our info and was able to use all the online sales. BEST PART is he also has a special code that knocked an extra 100 bucks off by shopping at his store. So instead of the online deal 399 off through winkbed, we got 499 off and a sleep bundle including pillows, sheets, and a protector.If you are thinking of ordering an online mattress do yourself a favor and go here first!!!! They dont have 215 5star reviews for nothing.

I was told to visit the Sherpa by a friend who had a great experience. While we didnt meet The Sherpa, Glenn helped us make a decision we felt great about. After telling us about their business model and the fact they dont receive sales commissions, school was in session. His process for fitting us for a bed was highly educational and without any sales pressure given the Sherpas abode is a showroom for online mattresses you dont normally get to try anywhere else (unless you purchase one and return it from one of the online companies going direct B2C) and without the hounding you receive at other brick and mortar Mattress Firms incented by selling the highest commission paying companies even if its not best for you. After trying a couple of beds in a specific order, he pointed us to a handful of other beds in the showroom to try on our own time (this initial process eliminated more than half of the beds due to our feedback). After my own poor experience purchasing a bed online after filling out a survey (which i found out from Glenn was a crock of malarkey) i wish this place would have been around sooner. When we set out to go look at beds, Sleep Sherpa just so happened to be the first in line of many places we were going to visit, after less than an hour in showroom, we didnt have to go anywhere else, we had our bed selected and purchased and felt great about it.

Sleep Sherpa is adhering to COVID guidelines. The show room is tidy and there’s pillow covers and hand sanitizer for persons looking to test out mattresses. Glenn is incredibly knowledgeable and is great at catering to the customers needs in what they’re looking for. We didn’t feel pushed into any particular brands, and Glenn listened carefully to our needs and requests and made great recommendations based on our feedback. We’ve been in before and while we didn’t make a purchase at that time while we mulled it over, we didn’t feel any pressure. Happy to return and make a purchase this time. We walked in to the Sleep Sherpa store on a Sunday at around 4 pm, and we had our beds delivered and assembled by next weekend!There are two fantastic things about this particular store: Glenn, the manager, as well as the concept of the store. We had done very little research (read: zero), and when we walked in, we thought it might take us like weeks of research. With Glenns help, we quickly realized that: (a) some mattresses are JUST not for us, and (b) out of the remaining mattresses, the differences are small, and are going to come down to the experience. With a 100 day, or 365 day return, we figured that it would make no difference picking between a 95 and a 96 (out of a 100)!We learned two key things: (1) we can get an adjustable bed base. Who knew? and (2) we can play around with the configurations. Originally we were going to go for 1 King bed base and 1 King mattress. But eventually, we decided to get 2 Twin XLs in each. Although this is a more expensive option, we do have the possibility of adjusting our beds independently. Given that one of us sleeps with head tilted much higher, and the other prefers as flat as possible, this was a good decision.For us to be able to go from 4 pm Sunday visit to sleeping on the new bed in just 6 days, we owe our appreciation to Glenn at Sleep Sherpa. He was very prompt in guiding us to the process, and what to buy, and then figuring out the details so that we can get all the details arranged. We live in a condo, and delivery window is small, esp on a Sat (and smaller during COVID times).And Glenn is a true professional, returning our e-mails at any time of the day, on all days. I say: Glenn should take a little time off from the phone, but I am sure his customers like us appreciate the prompt treatment.Sadly, we wont be needing a bed in the next, oh, 10 years, but will always be happy to stop by to say hi when we are around 415 W Huron.And yes, the concept of Sleep Sherpa is great. Online mattress companies have mushroomed, and it is hard to say which mattress you might like. So because Sleep Sherpa has most of them in inventory, you can stop by, test it out, and order through them. Had the best nights sleep in a long while, thanks to Sleep Sherpa. My husband and I were in desperate need for a new mattress....I think our mattress was about 15 years old. We were referred to Glenn at the sleep Sherpa online mattress showroom in Chicago from friends who had a great experience there. Before going I pored over the online reviews and narrowed the search down to a couple mattresses I thought would suit us best. Before finalizing a decision I knew we needed to try it before buying it and the mattress showroom is a great option for that. Glenn greeted us, pointed us in the right direction and gave us time and space to try out the mattresses. When we had questions he was able to provide us all the information needed and we trusted his expertise and recommendations. AMAZING buying experience... I had bought a couple beds online, based off YouTube reviews and dealing with their professionals trying to fit you with a bed. Each company I had to try the bed out for 30 days before returning. Let me tell you, having to keep a bed for 30 days that isn’t right for you, is a real pain and a lot of poor sleep nights. What’s your other option? Go to the big box stores and pay 2x the price and even though they promise a sleep night guarantee, it will cost you at least $300 to return! So my wife had it, no more online beds. I wanted to try the wink bed...I searched and found these guys. I’m from Madison,WI so it was 2 1/2 hour drive. So I talked to Glenn Fillicaro on the phone and told him all we have been through. He told me the selection of online beds that they had, which was amazing, all of them in one place. When I got there he was so helpful, we expressed what type of sleepers we were and the feel we wanted. He lead us to beds that exactly met our needs. Since we were there, we had to try out others we had spent hours researching. He said “I know that’s not the right feel for you but try it.” He was 100% correct. That guy knows his beds. Plus he was able to save me more money than if I bought it online. Well worth the drive. I have probably been to 7 bed stores and this guy was the most knowledgeable ever. Im sure youve seen a few times that people are stating that this is the best buying experience someones ever had. This isnt a line fed from the store; its the real story and the only thing I can recommend to the skeptics is to just check it out.Glenn has a good formula for helping couples figure out what they want. Its low pressure, communicative (not pitchy), and aligned to needs, not purchase. He took us through a few things to look out for beyond just comfort. He is good at making sure youre aware of what youre looking for such as pressure points and areas of support. He asks good questions that encourage feedback and alignment from couples.Also, they take very good precaution in keeping people safe from Covid.My only complaint is that this type of service and experience isnt available everywhere. The service was above and beyond what we expected.

I cannot recommend this place enough. I spent 2 months of quarantine looking at mattress reviews online but there is no substitute for actually laying on the mattresses to make a solid decision. This is the place to go for your mattress. I had an exceptional shopping experience at sleep sherpa, which first and foremost was because of Glenn. After the first time going into the store I left not knowing exactly what I wanted, but certain that whichever mattress I decided upon would be bought here because Glenn is great and I appreciate being able to support a small business rather than a huge chain like Mattress firm. Glenn is knowledgable, helpful, and not pushy at all. He even stayed past closing because I had just arrived at 4:40, only 20 min before close that day, and he wanted to make sure I had time to try each of the beds that had potential to be best suited to me.Buying a mattress is a substantial investment and often a difficult process that includes outrageous restocking and return fees if the experience sleeping 8 hours on a mattress is different than 15 minutes on it in store (It will be). However, I am confident that regardless of if the Luuf mattress I chose (which Glenn was able to get me a better discount on than any code found online) works for me or not, Glenn will make sure the customer experience continues to be excellent and any potential exchange/return process is seamless.As someone who has auto-immune inflammation it can be very difficult to find the right fit and comfort. Having the opportunity to try these mattresses in store rather than rolling the dice, and knowing that Sleep Sherpa & Glenn have relationships with these manufacturers, and in case of any issues, will continue to be a resource after the sale is made, makes it so much easier to shop with confidence.

My hubby exemplifies big and tall. I was doing some research on the best mattresses for big and tall guys and discovered that the one recommended for them was from an online company called Wink. A bit more work with the google machine showed me that that one could see and try a Wink mattress at Sleep Sherpa in Chicago. I was planning to head to the showroom on New Years Eve because we were going to be in Chicago anyway (were suburbanites) and I called the showroom to confirm that theyd be open. Glenn said he wasnt sure but would call me back and let me know. He not only called me once, he called me twice to give me additional details on their holiday hours. We headed down and were greeted by Glenn who was, in a word, delightful. He answered any questions that we had, discussed the construction of the Wink mattress models and then left us alone to try them out and see what we thought. He was very consultative and not pushy at all. He answered all of our questions and showed us a few other brands we might like based on the Wink model we liked. There was zero pressure to buy and it was a very positive experience. We ended up going with Wink and I cant wait to get the mattress! (They are made to order). What a fabulous idea to have a showroom where you can lay down on the brands that are only sold online-and have someone knowledgeable to answer questions to boot! I highly recommend!

The customer service here has been the best that Ive ever received. I first toured the facility with Parker. Parker was extremely knowledgeable and HONEST about all the products. There was ABSOLUTELY NO PRESSURE to buy a product from them. With his help we found the perfect mattress. My husband and I waited a few months to order the product due to our furniture hunt for a new bedroom set. When we call Sleep Shepra to order the mattress we were helped by Glenn. Glenn s customer service was top notch. He gave us amazing follow through to ensure that we received our mattress. Sleep Sherpa is mattress shopping made easy. No, really. It is. After a lot of research I still wasnt sold on any one on-line mattress provider over the other. I had questions. I wanted to feel and compare models like you would be able to in a traditional show room. I didnt want to do a series of trials either because that is just a waste of time and resources. Glenn was knowledgeable and kind. He listened to what my husband and I were looking for and made some solid recommendations, then let us choose what we liked best. He even had a chance to up sell us, but didnt. I respect that. The more expensive bed wasnt what we needed, he said. I feel like we got the best mattress to meet our needs.
