I have always really liked coming here. I’ve repainted room after room living in this neighborhood for 9 years and always like getting my supplies at JC Licht. They cater to professionals, but for novice do-it-yourselfers they take the time to make sure I’m getting the right paint and materials. It’s really great customer service!

Very helpful staff both on the paint side as well as the wallpaper/blinds section. Took a small paint chip of unknown color and they were able to provide an exact match!Tidy store.

I never write reviews, but Im here to say that Jimmy at this store has helped me multiple times over the last few weeks and hes BEYOND supportive, thoughtful and so freakin upbeat. Ill be coming back and making purchases here because of Jimmy.

DOES NOT OFFER CURBSIDE PICKUP (despite advertising that they do)If you are a disabled person, please stay far away from this place. Despite knowing exactly what type of paint and how much I wanted to buy, the male employee stated over the phone that all purchases need to be made inside the store.

Max is the best!!! I accidentally ordered 5 gallons of wrong shade and he worked a bit of magic in lifting the color to a lighter shade that I was able to work with. Their online process was very user-friendly and again, the customer service exceeded my expectations. Thank you Max! Give this guy a raise!

Pricey but good. Ask for a paint stirrer as they will not include it with your paint purchase

I really like this store. The designers are great if you want help selecting a paint color, wallpaper, blinds, etc. and the people who mix paint are knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful.

I buy a huge amount amount of paint once a year for my business. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable.

Had some confusion due to a mix up with a pick up. However, the staff was great about getting it all straightened out. You will need to call ahead to get info. They were recommended by another Hardware Store just south down on Clark. They also have someone who is very knowledgeable on removeble Wallpaper.

Ann Solomon was very knowledgeable when presenting the options for my window treatments, and vey pleasant to work with. The installer was just as pleasant, worked quickly (and safely). By the way, the blinds were perfect for my needs.

Everything you need (and some things you didnt know you needed 😊). Friendly, helpful, great quality products. In the design center, the designer recommended a paint color I had not considered and I went back today to tell him he was right! Very happy with their service!

Coming here to support small business and have a better one on one experience.I ordered 5 gallons of oil paint. When I started to paint I noticed the color was off from what I had chosen. Brought the paint back, they tried to fixed, went twice, the color got darker, better that firs time but not the color I chose.I wasnt happy, I asked them if they can star over and made me the right color, they said no. Defeated, finally I painted with their mix, $300 later and 2 days of painting.....I hate the color they gave me.Going to Home Depot to buy the right color they didnt give me here and paint all over again.NO, Im not coming back to this place ever.

Placed order and paid online for curbside pickup to minimize risk to myself and employees. No one checked online orders until I arrived. I had to enter store and no employees seemed to care and had not even begun to make my order.I was unable to to speak to anyone prior to my scheduled pickup time because the store phones are forwarded to another location and no one could help me there either. If you like poor customer service and lack of accountability, this is your store.

First time homeowner with a lot to learn. Multiple visits here and the staff has always been amazing. They clearly know what theyre talking about and asked questions I wouldnt have even thought to ask. Very friendly as well. Made this novice feel comfortable to walk in and get the answers I need.

The installer showed up on time and installed our new blind quickly and efficiently leaving no mess behind.

This is a terrific store. My mom and I went on the afternoon of Sun., Dec. 10, to look at some paint colors and some wallpaper. I mention the date only because I wish I had gotten the name of the staff member who assisted us that day. She was fabulous - courteous and knowledgeable - and when my mom went back again on the following Tues., Dec. 12, she told me later that the same staff member was again friendly and helpful. What a boon to this store she is. I cant comment on other sections of the store as we were only looking at the Benjamin Moore paint colors and some wallpaper, but Im sure theyre probably equally well run, judging from the color/wallpaper section of the store.

Their service is excellent--knowledgable and friendly. The products are well known and as good as those available from other stores, but the service makes a big difference.

Weve continued to go back to them for our residential needs over the years, and value their selection and service. In my experience, they provide a pressure-free shopping environment where you can take whatever time you need to make very difficult decisions. However, if you need help, they are there to offer knowledgeable support.

Our project was a gut rehab and we needed all new window coverings. We had prior experience with Hunter Douglas and were pleased to find that JC Licht on North Clark Street carried them as we try to shop local. We discussed our needs with Taylor Barillaro at the store and Deena McCauley who came to our home for further consultation. Deena was able to quickly help us make selections for 20 plus windows and recommended features and options specific for each window. Taylor provided support and helped us when we needed additional shades. We could not have been more pleased with the service and our window coverings.We also use this store for all our paint needs. Everyone knows paint and finishes, can recommend products and techniques for DYI and will track down hard to find products. The level of service, selection and competitive pricing make this store our first stop for paint and finishes.
