My first time here. I ordered the egg and spinach breakfast on a sourdough parm bagel for myself and then I ordered a bacon and eggs on a everything bagel for my daughter. You definitely taste the freshness of the bagel. Good place to visit if your in chico. Not an easy place to find there is no big sign of the place

Brooklyn bagels not only has amazing food and smoothies but, they have some of the best customer service Ive ever encountered. Scott was so helpful on the phone and made sure I was taken care of, Peter was also very fast getting an online issue fixed. 10/10 would recommend.

First time was delicious, 2nd time they got my order wrong... But it tasted too good to complain at all. Wonderfully made lox bagel sandwiches.UPDATE: Reduced from 4-star to 3-star. Ive tried to get the same lox bagel sandwich two more times and its been pretty mediocre and incorrect both times. I think I got lucky the first time.

Placed our order over the phone. My husband said he wanted to do build his own bagel, the kid said whats a build your own?. (Should have been a red flag.) The kid on the phone was super put out when asked to read our order back to make sure it was correct. And guess what, it was missing ingredients we asked for. I ordered Asiago cream cheese, there was none. My husband ordered sprouts, he got 3 little sprouts. White, unedible tomatoes. Unappealing. I didnt even eat my bagel. So disappointing. Still hungry.

Such a GEM in Chico! Love love love. Well, first off, the bagels are amazing. As they should be. Fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Full of flavor. Doesn’t get much better than that. Tried the coffee for the first time today and it was surprisingly really good! As a former barista, that’s saying something. Give this place a try. And grab $1 bagels on your way in.

Possibly one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I took one step into the building and asked the one employee politely if they were offering gift cards. The employee quickly and rudely told me they were closed. I apologized and told her that I thought they closed at 2. As I was opening the door they told me in a snarky tone that their hours were on the door. I checked and they were open til 1:30, it was 12:54. Thankfully Upper Crust offered gift cards and they were very polite and professional.

I never have left a review before because I generally dont ever feel the need to. I ordered 3 bagels, all with cream cheese and salmon, for me, my partner, and our roomate. Me and my partner ate together and we ate quickly as we both had work. We didnt notice anything wrong, other than the bagel was super salty. A few hours later me and my partner had the worst food poisoning and stomach pain, we both had to come home early from work. It was literally the worst stomach pain Ive ever had in my life. We honestly didnt even realize it was the bagels we had in the morning, until our roomate comes home later that day and says that he threw away the bagel because the salmon was a dark brown on the inside and he thought there was mold on it. I was shocked and modified that it was from the bagels that we ate in the morning. I feel really disgusted that I ate from that place. I thought the bagels were harmless. This place doesnt use fresh food, and you are way better off just buying the ingredients and making it yourself. Dont eat here and if you do make sure to check your food. This place should be shut down, if it continues serving people bad food like this.

Three of us got different bagel sandwiches. We all enjoyed them. Im anxious to try a different one next time. I was impressed with the bagel options, the spread options, and all of the ingredient options.

First time experience was great. Fast and friendly service. I love that they have gold peak tea on tap. I purchased the Jewish nightmare add Avo and veggie cream cheese and a side of their potatoes. Which I must say are the best. They taste like potatoes from a beef stew, so tender and spiced jus right.

New York-style bagels served up in a quaint California college community. This Chico legend serves up flavorful house-made bagels with delicious schmears and perfectly cooked meats. Location can prove complicated for parking, and there is a high homeless population in the area, however I would recommend taking the chance to visit.

I used to go here all the time as I worked downtown, although I wont be returning after my last trip. Waited 10 minutes trying to get an employees attention to fill the half and half only to be yelled at by the employee. Was given attitude when I asked if they could use a different knife on my bagel as I have food allergies (also the counter wasnt wiped after I established I have food allergies). Plus they dont use gloves and I dont see active hand washing taking place. Once I pointed this out, the employee picked the smallest bagel (I have photos of mine vs my friends who ordered at the same time!) And hardly gave me any cream cheese. Sorry, but food allergies should be taken seriously!

I love the Bagels here. They are inexpensive, theres lots of options. You can buy cream cheese, the Day old Bagels are very good and also inexpensive. I would try the garlic cream cheese, its my favorite.

My husband and I come in every so often to get the 1.00 bag of bagels. Which btw ate amazing. But this morning he and I decided to try for the first time Hangover Helpers meal and key me tell you we couldnt as for anything better! This was well but together and the taste was so delicious. Not only is the sandwich great Armando was a very helpful and friendly young man. Thank you Armando and the rest of the employees. We will come back for more!

Great food and very friendly staff. Personally recommend the pizza bagel deal they have at lunch as it only $3 and its better than the trash they serve at CHS. Comes with a medium soda and your Chou e between pepperoni or cheese. Great location and right by the 7-Eleven that I was robbed by an employee in, so you druggies can get more scratch offs and cigarettes.

Being my usual breakfast spot for well over two years, I still (sadly) cannot give Brooklyn Bagel a higher score. Being the only bagel shop in town (others do make bagels) allows them to get away with less creativity and lower quality I fear. That is not to say that they are bad by any stretch. The prices are fair, the service gets the job done, and the bagels are . . . Well bagels.Brooklyn Bagels will not disappoint you but if youve been to more than one shop in your life, its hard to not want more for your breakfast options.

Food is amazing, but the employees are mean and disrespectful. My friend ordered the Pizza Bagel deal which is a pizza bagel and a medium drink. They gave him a cold bagel and a small drink, and after 5 minutes kicked him out of the building.

I come here for breakfast occasionally, and I get The Super. It hits the spot every time. The smoothies are also great, but be warned, theyre quite large. I found that my eyes were bigger than my stomach when I got both a smoothie and a sandwich, but I regret nothing. Delicious bagels, friendly staff. Definitely recommend

I have no idea how this place got 4.5*. I ordered a egg/cream cheese/sausage bagel sandwich. They put egg in a plastic tubberware and microwaved it.. This was a $7.50 bagel sandwich have some class and cook it on a pan. Even worse my sausage was a frozen circular patty that they warmed up. I beg you cooks of this establishment please go to Fresh Twisted Cafe and learn how to make a bagel sandwich.

Brooklyn Bagel Works is amazing, fresh baked bagels every day, with a huge selection and many bagel sandwich options. I hear the coffee is quite good, and other drinks like smoothies are amazing. Im a huge fan.

I am a true West coast bagel lover. I have tried many different bagel! Finally found Brooklyns Bagel shop through my coffee house, Juice n Java. They had a post on their menu that said where they get their delicious bagels. So I had to go try!! The smell was pure heaven when I approached the shop. Parking was horrid, as per usual in downtown Chico, so bring a friend to babysit car while you rush in. They have fast friendly service and the choices !!! OMGosh the choices they had!! They serve plenty of cream cheese and toppings too if you want a lovely lunch. I just grabbed a dozen different bagels to go, and a couple of cheese bagel dogs for lunch! Awesome experience, I am ready to go back and eat some real lunch there!

This establishment is staffed by extremely rude, snobby people who really have no business being in customer service, and act like the world would just stop turning if they werent there and their hokey little bagel shop wasnt open. Not to mention the fact that I was standing in front of their register this morning for over two minutes without being helped. I could understand it if they were SUPER BUSY, but they werent-there were VERY few people in there. The food there is extremely over-priced, and really not worth the wait. I would give it zero stars, but unfortunately, Google doesnt let you do that. Dont think Ill be going in there again anytime soon, even if Im starving to death!!

Really great food very filling reasonably priced

I went for the first time with my boyfriend. He got the BLTAC ( a blt with avocado and chicken breast) on an onion bagel, and I got the chicken melt on a sour dough bagel. Both were excellent. It is a nice place with a friendly and casual atmosphere. They have a lot of bagels to choose from as well as teas, smoothies, and other drinks.Our sandwiches came with some pickle slices, Cole slaw, and cinnamon bagel chips.I will definitely be going there again.
