Havent been in town with a book store in years. My kids are all voracious readers. When I took them the first time a couple weeks ago, you would have thought I took them to Disney. They replaced some of their bookshelves with toys, but other than that its amazing.

Asked my kids to rate the store. And they said 5 being amazing! They had stuff for my daughter and son. Always very clean and organized every time we go.

I love seeing modern board games. As a board game enthusiast I was in heaven. Prices are a bit higher however w teachers discount they are affordable.

Great Cafe, friendly staff, and a cozy environment for reading.They also have very clean restrooms 🤓

Just a wonderful book store and good people working there as well nice adults and children shopping. My only regret was not becoming a member with my first purchase. I would have saved quite a bit by the time I went back three times in three days!

It is a great place to concentrate on doing my homework. Do all seven nice cafe inside of Barnes & Noble.

Great selection of books, magazines, and toys for all ages with helpful booksellers who offer excellent customer service, willing to search and suggest items so you can find just what you need. I love to walk through the store to see what is featured on the display tables and end caps. The front of the store has the newest and best selling books, with a large selection of high quality bargain items. You might end up in the store for longer than anticipated, so plan for at least an hour if you like to browse and expect to find gift ideas for others. Be sure to stop by the cafe to grab a drink and snack before you head out!

I love reading an actual book. Ebooks are convenient but nothing beats turning the page. I love how they have STEM toys for kids and collectables of things my girlfriend is into. Christmas wishlist one stop shop.

I guess the biggest question is, whats not to love about Barnes & Noble? They have everything from coffee and snacks, to the most impressive and amazing books, magazines, journals gifts toys and resplendent service and atmosphere. Its not to be missed. In my view, its better than an amusement park, because whatever you take home from there stays with you, far longer, and with just the opposite of an upset tummy. Come on, lets go have some fun... So many worlds await you!!

I love this book store. It is not only a book store but they have kids areas where occasionally has a story time and Starbucks to hangout and have a break. I love hanging out there with my son.

I went in today because I’m having a problem with a nook that Barnes & Noble no longer sells. I received excellent customer service, the store manager was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to solve my issue. I can’t say enough good things about the customer service at this store, every employee I encountered was very polite and extremely helpful.

Been a member of Barns and Nobel for 1996 never regret 😉

The place was clean and bright. The employees were attentive and helpful. However I could not get a monogrammed King James Bible for my nephew.

Went to return books that we waited 3 months for. And was told they couldnt be returned in the store. We have to mail them back in and wait for credit to card. But the store was clean.

This is the worst B&N ever. I just came and asked nicely to the employees “Do you guys have this in stock, is the truck come today yet”. And the managers came to me and said “Stop harassing my employees by asking them a lot”. You work as an associate which mean to help customer and when your customers asked for stuff, you said it harassment, this makes no sense at all.

For some reason my review is getting deleted. I was in the store shopping and I over here the manager speaking so rude to a couple of people over by the collectors items. People should not be treated the way she treated them.

I spent well over $400 on books yet was treated as if my man and I were going to steal our items which we obviously had the money to buy we were not only closely followed or well stalked with in the store they also had two security waiting at the door after my first purchase we went over to the Starbucks in the store and ordered something to drink we went through the other stack of books we were going to purchase and this seems to be a constant thing as well just because my boyfriend has tattoos he gets judge for his appearance.

I generally prefer local independent bookstores, but we dont have one in Chico currently. So Ive been resorting to B&N when I dont want to wait for something to ship. Theyve had one of the books I needed recently and were able to order another one. Staff are friendly and helpful. They dont carry some stuff Im interested in. Id live if they had maps to their store near the front as its large and kind of overwhelming to navigate.

I mean, its a Barnes & Noble. Helpful staff, has a Starbucks & restroom.

Glad its still open and that my children still love to read. Just took daughter to grab a new book, enjoyed some coffee from their cafe while getting a short read on. BN, very clean, organized and has plenty genres to choose from.

Ive loved Barnes & Nobles since it first came to town. Its a great place to find a good book, but I prefer to browse till something good catches my eye. I like the feel of a real book in my hands and the instant gratification of having what I bought instantaneously.

Always loved coming here and overall I would give the store itself 4 stars however I keep having the same negative experience with a certain employee time and time again. All employees are very helpful and kind however with every interaction with Catilyn I am met with an eye roll and a condescending attitude. I’ve spoke with other people who have had similar experiences with this particular employee so I know it’s not just me.

I cant say much because i was only there for a popsocket for my phone. Its such a cute little thing to have. Very useful. I can actually hold my phone better without my hands getting tired.

Our Barnes & Noble is awesome. Their coffee shop is one of my favorite places to hang out in town. The best hot chocolate Ive ever had came from this coffee shop. It was raspberry, and some sort of Frozen 2 promo, and I dont really know why I ordered it in the first place but my god it was amazing. And I always check out their books and games during the holidays; they have a great selection with friendly staff and a cozy environment. But seriously that hot chocolate...it haunts my dreams.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Store manager yelled to one of our friends for no reason! She told them “stop harassing my employees” Very unprofessional!! Employees and store managers are there to help out guest not get yelled at!! Very disappointed!!

The staff is consistently friendly and helpful. Also, the store is well staffed, so it doesnt take long to find someone who can help. They keep it clean, including the bathrooms. And there is a cafe which sells Starbucks coffee and other cafe items.My only complaint is there are no available power outlets in the cafe, so its not a place you can sit at with a computer and work for long periods. But as a bookstore, Im so grateful B&N is still here, especially in todays Amazon world. I encourage you to buy things here so the store stays around.

I always live walking into any type of book store, but Barnes & Noble is my favorite! I can pretty much order any book I want, so long as it wasnt published namby Amazon.Even with COVID happening, the staff was super sweet and more than willing to help.The store appears to have rearranged since the last time I was in there, but the selections on the shelves are keeping up with the times.

We love Barnes & Noble. We went there to find a gift for our 6 year old grandson... they did not disappoint!

Kyle was very unprofessional. I waited in line for customer service and nobody showed up. Then I waited in line at the cash register to get help. I got help and was told to go back to the back of the line and wait to pay. I spent more time waiting for somebody to actually do something then I did searching for books.

I love a good book and with that I love a good book store. Barnes and Noble has created one of the best Ive been in. Its a great place to find the book your looking for and a great place to sit and have a nosh while you read it. Great coffee fantastic cookies and a relaxing atmosphere you cant go wrong. As for the staff all Ive met are top notch. So yes Barnes and Noble is my choice when I want a new book or to have a meeting which is why I went there for the first time.

I’m a loyal customer in this store “not anymore” I always shop there and spend over $200, today I was standing in collectibles and the manager came at me yelling for no reason saying we harassing her employees “even tho we didn’t talk to anyone!!!!” And not just me, there was also other people standing in collectibles and she yelled at all of us, super unprofessional and the worst customer service I’ve ever seen in my whole life.

Love this place! Well organized if you want to go directly to what your looking for... But do plan to relax & look around... They have nice discounts set around a bit & you can save money by taking your time too look around... Of course if you love books like I do you may end up buying a few more than you planned on.... Its well worth taking your time looking & relaxing & just enjoying the read. Do ask for help they know their stuff & enjoying helping... Have Fun!!

This has been the week of first times for me. I wouldnt say that I am a avid reader. Yes, my first time stepping into a Barnes and Noble.I was very impressed with the layout, organized with a actual fore thought. I was searching for a BBQ cookbook, so many selections to choose from. I picked out my choice, walked right to the register and payed. I was in & out in less be than 15 minutes. Awesome job, thanks.

Place is nice, the Starbucks inside is pretty extensive damn shame we cant hang out inside and enjoy the coffee shop.

Good book selection but you can find all of them cheaper on amazon so if you are in a rush to find a book go here but just know they will be a little more expensive

I had to kill a little time while my car was being serviced, so I came to B & N to browse and have lunch. The Turkey chipotle sandwich is awesome. They have a lot of really nice gift ideas as well as a whole lot of new best sellers and historical fiction.

My experience was great. I did not find what I was looking for but the young lady who helped me took me to the customer service counter and found several selections on the computer. She asked me if I would like her to order a few of the selections for me two browse she took my information and will contact me when my selections come in. I was very impressed with the service I received. I have always been a fan of Barnes & Noble.

It was clean, comfy with its over-stuffed, softly firm arm chairs, out of the way (aisle) reading nooks, lots of people to see, watch and even food (stuffs)...should one wish it... Its a GREAT place to be entertained, socialized, and get carried off at, I get so involved and engrossed by a good read... Whats not to love about this place !!!

I like this store a lot. They did obviously adapt to being something more than just a book store but it is still a good book store. Went in for something for me and my child and fortunately it had everything we needed. One thing I have noticed is of the books is in a series hard to find the older ones usually just have the most recent release

Honestly the best store/place to go to in Chico. It has every book you can think of and if they dont have it there, they can order it. The staff is very helpful and insightful. The atmosphere is delightful and warm. You can sit down anywhere and enjoy a good read and no one judges you for sitting on the floor reading. Added bonus you can order a coffee and something to eat from the Starbucks inside. Just have a grand ole time drinking coffee and reading books. Students from the college go here too to get some homework or research done. Overall a lovely place to be at.

The store is always so nice and inviting. The books are easy to find as well as the store personal are always ready to help you with anything you need. They have a great selection of books and if by chance they dont have what your looking fir they are more then willing to find it for you at another store or order it for you. I always love going to Barnes and Noble! Not just for the books but for the games. My family love to play boardgames together and Barnes and Noble has so many to choose from!

Great place to find collectibles for the geek in your life. Members get 10% off, which pays for itself within a few months, if not sooner with coupons for new membership and exclusive offers.The atmosphere is always great, but its hard to find a seat day or night.Missing a star because price points are a little high. Theyre booksellers, but I go more for non-book items.They no longer compete with Amazon and others for textbook rentals.

I really like this Barnes and Nobles. Great selection, very clean, and most of the employees are very nice. The reason I am giving this store 3 stars instead of 5 is a couple of reasons.First, I have been followed through out the store several times although I buy there regularly. Doing loss prevention I am well aware of what is going on.Second, there has been many times I have needed help and either nobody was there to help or the person that would helped me was vague about where I could find what I was looking for.Other then those things the cafe staff is nice and direct and some of the workers I have had encounters with have that kind of attitude that makes you want to come back and shop there.

Definitely need more soft and comfortable chairs. After B&N got rid of there comfy chairs it really wasnt someplace we wanted to go and spend time. We took our money online. We checked in today and there was 1 comfortable chair. Ended spending 2 hours and $$ bring back the comfortable chairs♡♡

One of my favorite places in Chico. Good books, coffee, and atmosphere.The store is always clean and organized.The B&N staff are always helpful to the utmost. If the store does not have a book that you are looking for they will offer to order it for you or give you other options around town.I definitely recommend B&N to friends and family.

I only went into the store because you can reach a Pokemon gym from inside and it was blisteringly hot out. So a group of us raided from inside the store, in the seating area. I also got a fairly good cold brew from the Starbucks inside.Otherwise I really cant stand B & N. It feels like a museum to obsolete forms of entertainment media where you can buy the exhibits for way too much money.So, it gets a bonus star for some functions of the building completely exclusive to it being an actual Barnes and Noble.

Its always a nice calming atmosphere. I like to come here to chill. Its nice they have a Starbucks inside so I can get my fill of coffee.
