Cozy diner gives you good comfort food and good service. Their cream pies are pretty good but their fruit pies are just so so. They have the best chicken in town!!
I ordered the meatloaf.. Which was ok! It was hearty and filling but SO salty!! I mean, I love salt, but I literally had to push to eat this. Since it was close to closing i didnt be THAT person and have them remake it so I just powered through it!
We had just come from a movie with friends,and decided to have dessert. We had their pie, apple, cherry, raspberry Creme, and carrot cake, with ice cream of course. Our waitress, Danny, was very nice and attentive. food was great, BUT PLEASE bring back your German Chocolate pie. :)

My husband and I came to Chico for the weekend. We were looking for a place to eat and saw this place and turned around and came here. We were seated right away by a very friendly young man. We asked for coffee and flavored creamer and got it within about 2 minutes or less. They kept up with serving us coffee and creamer. I ordered the sampler with a blueberry muffin that was delicious and my husband got a ham and egg omelette. Our food was out so fast and was amazing. The service was always prompt and everyone was super friendly. Definitely will make this a place we visit each time we come back.
Clean, friendly, prompt service. Great steak cooked perfectly. Baked potato not so great. Really good Chicken Fried Steak, but the mashed potatoes were either whipped to death or were box potatoes. The ice cream is AMAZING!!!

Their cinnamon French toast is to die for.The flavor is amazing and they give you a plate that will fill you up! I had to take most of it home, but microwave did great.
I do like the place. But its way to much food! And way to salty. Mostly processed and from scratch. I saw so many plates full of leftover food that people left. How do they make money???

Eggs were way under done. Not I anyway over medium, toast was nor toasted, hashbrowns were white. And they changed the fence toast. I actually truly grew up in Cozy. We have never gone there for the food. The servers are the best. But Im sorry we have not gone for almost two years and thought we would try again. Only went to celebrate my moms memory. Will try again maybe next year.

We have been going here for awhile, more so recently with delivery. The quality of the food just keeps dropping. Tonight I ordered a chicken fried steak breakfast. Not only was everything cold, there was no chicken fried steak. This is a popular place and one review will not change that, but you guys have got to do better or individuals like me will continue to slowly leave.

Its a classic diner, not fancy and nothing to write home about but it remains one of Chico great spots to dine. I have to start by saying the title cozy dinner fits perfect. I want to shout out our waitress Wendy she was awesome. I had the 8 oz. New York Strip(medium) with butterfly shrimp, popcorn shrimp and a loaded bake potato all for $16.99. The steak came out a medium as order and the meal was filling. It was good. My girlfriend ordered the waffles with strawberry topping. Looked delicious and by the she cleaned her plate it must have been. Next time I go Ill be sure to have some pie because it looked amazing and maybe some broasted chicken to go with it. The only thing wrong with my order was the bake potato was way overdone and the steak needed some seasoning.

My family and I have been going to Cozy for years. A favorite place because of large number of food choices, food well-cooked, staff is friendly, the boss is out on the floor working right along with everyone else and the cooks do a great job putting together just what you ordered. Portions are good-sized, too. Keep up the good work, guys! Thank you.
This is a legendary chico establishment. Kind of like La Comida. I came here for Thanksgiving fora friend to have a dinner. And it was a very good dinner. Better than Ive had at peoples houses

Chicken ok, salad was wilted with slimy green something in it, garlic bread ok, and vegetables overcooked and undercooked at the same time. Not a very good experience this time. We generally enjoy their food though vegetables are always a disappointment.

It wasnt good, had no flavor at all. They used to be really good. And are waitress needed to go home she was in a bad mood or tired she acted like she had been there awhile. But she needed to go home. Bad service. But back to the food I had minastroney soup and corn bread how do you mess that up, than the rest of the food wasnt good either, we wasnt inpressed. We also had a chefs salad the lettuce wasnt good and chicken was plain tasting. We had to ask the cashier for things because she didnt ck on us at all. But once and she was rude about it. Wont go back for awhile. Let them get some good cooks and different people in there

Honestly, its better than I remember. I went here for breakfast, and everything was amazing. The only complaint I have if that their chicken fried stake is smaller than other diners like it. Aside from that, the food was great and the employees we on point. The price was pretty good for the amount of food I had received.

Its well-known that this restaurant doesnt require masks for customers because the owner doesnt believe in them. Their responses on other review sites are...concerning. Theyve been serving indoors, and risking the lives of the people who work there and dine there.I used to pick up from here all the time, and its worth noting that their food quality has gone down a lot in the past couple years, while their prices have gone up- size, quality of ingredients, etc. All the health risks just throw it over the edge. There are a lot of places to grab breakfast in town- try another.
Salad was very wet so it watered down the dressing, there was more beer batter on the fish than fish, corn bread was not quite done, so very doughy. I will NEVER go there again. The service was great though.

One of the worst restaurant experiences Ive had.After we had our orders taken, it took nearly an hour and a half for our food to arrive; well half of it anyway. It was at least another 10 minutes before the other half of the plates came by.Everything except for the entree on one plate was somewhere between lukewarm and ice cold. A burger came with a nice fresh unmelted slice of American cheese on it, as if the cheese was fresh out the fridge.Everyone at the table had aspects of their order wrong, with most special requests ignored and some people missing things from their order.What made everything especially bad was the poor service. Someone I ate with said they were given eyerolls when asking for simple things like a lemon with their water. Generally, the service was inattentive and rude.I cannot recommend eating here given my experience.

Left before we got food Poisoning. Seen them using a back scratcher to pull the food closer to them on the pass which had over 15 plates on it yet to be served. Management walking around and not helping the over worked staff. Not a clean place to have a meal. Can definitely see why other places were packed a last destination on our drive. Dodged a long painful Stomachache. Fell sory for the waitress.
Great little diner; the French toast is made with thick cinnamon toast. Coffee is O.K.- decaffeinated coffee not so good.Little run down but packed with people.

The hashed brown tasted like butter so much, left them. Bacon wasnt cooked and asked to take it back they brought it over cooked!

Been dining here for ten years, always a wonderful experience. The food is exceptional and the service is always personable. In spite of the city imposing a no dine-in restriction, Cozy Diner elected to stand up for themselves and refuse to close doors. They remain open to this day, and I couldnt be more behind them. I would and will proudly continue to bring friends and family here.
We came from out of town for business and met for lunch. Its been awhile but use to eat there alot. Like all things change is consent. Plenty of waitress staff, not to busy so 4/5 stood at counter talking as we sat waiting for menus. Service was good but slow, food of plenty, but all dishes over cooked. Prices ok. Just not what we remembered.

Great experiance, our server Kaay was attentive but not invasive, the food was good, I had the ham and eggs which was as close to gamon egg n chips as I can get in this country, and my wife had the bacon cheese burger with special prep instructions, everything was as it should be.The environment was as cozy as the name sudgests and you deffinatly get your moneys worth.

Good food, but service was very slow today. With distancing, there was about a 30 minute wait to be seated followed by very slow table service. Worth the wait, but you may want to go when it is less crowded.
