Holiday Pools is the oldest and most knowledgeable pool company in town. They have great prices and will tell you how to do things correctly. I have used them for over 10 years and recommend them highly. There are cheaper places but not better. They do not like to duct tape stuff to fix it they get things repaired properly. After dealing with a few pool guys around town he difference was noticeable.

Do not recommend had them for 4 years and just dropped me because my pump took forever to prime. Instead of informing me of the issue they just dropped my service.Edit: Try again. Its my wife not just a friend. You lied about numerous things and you have horrible customer service.

Holiday pools maintained and serviced our pool for over five years. Our pool equipment needed several repairs over that period of time. Scott, from Holiday Pools, was always very swift in scheduling and making the repairs. It was very obvious that customer service and timely work was what they built their business on. I never felt like I was burdening Scott with my repairs, even though He had a very busy schedule. This was because customer satisfaction & flexibility was their priority. I always recommend Holiday Pools.

I have done business with all the pool suppliers in Chico and seem to always circle back to a locally owned business that offer, friendly service both in the store and the field. Holiday pools and spa in my opinion is the only pool supply store and has been for several years. Recently I had an issue with my cleaning equipment. I brought the equipment into the store and they were able to order the parts I needed to fix my cleaner. They could have said I need to buy a new cleaner. Instead they offered to order the parts and fix the cleaner. I did not need them to fix the part just order the part. Thank you Holiday Pools

Heres how a business can take a customer for a ride to the tune of four thousand dollars. Ill start from the beginning. I bought my house and it came with a large pool. It was green with algae and I needed to get it cleaned up. I called Holiday Pools and said I wanted it fixed up. They came out and replaced my pump, filters, sweeper, and sold me shock and algaecide. This ran me around three thousand dollars. Once the work was complete, they said the pool would clear up and never came back. My pool went right back to green. I called and was told to add more shock and clean the filters. I kept doing this for a month with no improvement. I purchased more shock and took them water samples. Same recommendations, more shock, clean the filters.Then black algae appeared and started spreading through the pool. Called again, same response, more shock, clean the filters but also hand scrub the black algae. Apparently its recommended you wear a snorkel and scrub chlorine tabs the entire circumference of the pool. I did this three times. Five hundred dollars later, my pool is still green and has black algae. I called again and was told..... yep, scrub the black algae and add more shock, plus clean the filters. Holiday Pools has no interest in getting my pool usable, just taking my money. Id highly recommend finding a pool company that prides itself on workmanship and puts some effort into helping their customers. As of now, this company should be avoided.

During my recent home purchase my realtor chose them to inspect the pool system. Their inspection report (hand-written) cost me $160 and indicated a clean bill of health. However they failed to notice visible debris (sand/grit) coming back through the return into the pool which indicates a failure of the filter system. After we moved in and I started adding chemicals getting it ready for spring I diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes and have accrued over $700 of expenses so far due to their failure to identify the problem. I have 30 days of pool experience compared to their asserted 25 plus years and Im already more astute, which is a statement on their abilities, not an endorsement of my own. The only skill I needed to ascertain the issue was having eyes. Their rep on the phone admitted that they dont actually touch anything in the system to confirm functionality because they might break something. The whole point of a pool inspection is to ascertain needed repairs prior to the close of escrow so the buyer/seller can negotiate. It is logical that items that disintegrate by touching them would be something their customer (the buyer) would be interested in knowing. The person on the phone was totally defensive when I didnt even ask him for anything. I simply conveyed the story and he didnt let me finish before he started saying it isnt their fault because actually looking inside things is beyond the scope of their inspections, which are entirely visual. They failed even this standard because I diagnosed the problem visually without any experience or training. I will never use Holiday Pools & Spas for anything and I am passionately informing everyone I can of my awful experiences with both their technical abilities and customer service.

Don’t recommend some of their pool boys are rude and inconsiderate. I have called the manager to complain but he conveniently “stepped out”.

My husband and I have used Holiday Pools for over a decade. They have maintained our filter equipment, our pool sweep, and chemicals. About six years ago they replaced our pool filter. They took the time to come out several times to go over any questions we had about the running of our new system. We are senior citizens and they were always polite and helpful and never talked down to us. I dont know what I would do if we didnt have them on the other end of our telephone.

I have gone to them for different related situations for many years and they have always been responsive, kind and responsible.

These folks have a huge store. I was shocked to find such a big pool place in a small town. I am from Las Vegas and we had giant pool stores everywhere. When we moved to Chico I was pleased that Holiday was there. They have tons of stuff in stock and I have used their repair service twice since moving. I found them to be quick, knowledgeable and fair. I have recommended them several times to co workers and never heard a negative report.

Worst experience ever. I have had them out to my home several times only to be continued to be charged every time yet they don’t fix the problem. Every time it’s a new problem with a new service call. 4 service calls in under 60 days for my pool sweep not running but the pool sweep is ok? Loose this, bad o-ring here, clean filters, then replacing filters. You would think they would take some pride in their work and have the integrity to stand behind their diagnosis and catch all these said problems the first time or second at worse? No, they are only interested in taking my credit card information to have on file for easier billing. I went in to discuss the matter with the owner and was told he would be out in a few minutes as he was on the phone dealing for “some jerk”. I wondered around for a few minutes and while doing so I over heard the owner (Gary I was told his name was) yelling at someone about something and threatening them with physical harm followed the what seemed to like the phone slamming on a desk. I knew then I wasn’t going to get anywhere with him in a hostile state so I quietly just left with the young man that told me to wait calling another client “some jerk” laughing at the situation as I walked out. This is a horrible way to treat people and by reading the reviews, they have a great way of blaiming their customers. With reviews being more relevant today than back in the 50’s or 60’ when they started, I don’t think they will be around much longer, but hey if they continue to take take take large enough amounts, maybe that’s what will fund them to stay open. have a beautiful home that my late husband left our kids and I but I struggle to maintain it with people like this taking me for a ride.

I have dealt with Lee at Holiday Pools for at least 10 years and have purchased 3 hot tubs from him. The service has been good and the prices were reasonable.

Great company to work with. Have a large pool that was having equipmemt problems. Spot on diagnosis and repair. Required new filter and new sweep. Imstall was quick and clean. Pool is now filtering correctly and sweep is functioning great.

Every experience has been great! I see a few bad reviews on here and it saddens me to see such a great business being slandered by a very small group of unreasonable, demanding and ridiculous nightmare customers. No business can perform miracles or perform jobs that are physically impossible. Lee and the staff will go out of their way to help everyone in any way they can. All you have to do is listen to what they say and follow the advice they give. I cant say enough good things about them.

I have had a great experiences with Holliday pools over the years. They are true professionals. I have been taking my water samples in for years. Every time I came in I was eyeballing that hot tub in the corner. All the employees knew i wanted that hot tub because it was a little out of my price range and they said when the new models came in I could buy the floor model!A few weeks ago they gave me a call. It’s for sale! I bought the floor model at a great discount. But now the work begins. I pavered the new pad and ran the electrical.When I was finished si called them up for delivery. A few days later here comes the shiny new tub! We are so happy with the new hot tub! Their delivery drivers had a challenging delivery in my backyard but were so nice and professional!I can’t say enough how I love Holiday Pools!Thanks again you guys are truely the best!David Hagen

Horrible customer service! If you have an above ground pool do not go here! They are rude and no help at all! I was having trouble keeping my above ground pool clear and have spent at least $100 in chemicals for my pool and I called back after nothing worked and they would not help me because i was not using the shock and chlorine tablets that they sell there. They had no suggestions and would not help me! He didnt even tell me to come in and bring a water sample! He just told me that they dont deal with above ground pools. I will never go here again!

These guy know their pools. They helped me to choose the right pool for my home and even took the extra step to coordinate delivery with my tight schedule.
