Star liquor is the best liquor store in chico! The guys who work there will treat you like their child and take such good care of you. If you befriend them they will sell you sweet liquor and beer themed signs and merch as well. One of the best places to get cool merch.

I have been a frequent customer at this store for many years. The gentlemen who run the shop are polite and upbeat. They have a wide selection of alcohol to choose from, as well as sodas, energy drinks, and electrolyte rich beverages. Reasonable prices, and open late. Masks are required at this time.

I walked in to check out their flavors of juice and was hawked from the moment I stepped foot in the store. I started to buy a gallon of juice and changed my mind because of the way I was made to feel. When I got home I spoke with my house mates several of us had had the same experience. To me thats bad customer service and thats what makes my loyalty or disloyalty as a customer. I wont spend my money where I felt terrible. I dont know if they get robbed alot but as a new customer not my problem you have plenty of cameras and Chico has plenty of other liquor stores

Pabbi is a great human being. Prices can be a bit high at times but youre supporting local business. Their variety is unmatched. If you cant find it at Pabbis you probably dont need it.

Great store, cheap prices and have a huge selection

Well stocked, neat and organized, clean and uber friendly. They are super helpful if you just describe what you want and will consider ordering for you. Main problem, a bit difficult to enter and exit parking lot. Only one entrance/exit off busy Nord Avenue/Hwy 32.

I have been a long-time customer of this location and like the customer service they give great people and great selection, But I will no longer shop there or give business to them the way I was recommending customers. I live in Orland and I called for a Tequila that they say they for $39.99 When I got there the next day the try to sale it me for $45 I was a bit shock. He told me that they never said $39.99 and that I will never find it for that price In Chico. they were always tell you that they have the best prices available, but in fact they do not I was able to find the tequila for 39.99 and and I was able to also find another bottle that was cheaper which I also bought. The bottle I want to get there was Azuñia reposado.$39.99 the other was hacienda vieja 750ml for 19.99 so I bought 12 of them and the owner give me a freebie so I only paid for 11.That’s why I will no longer be the customer good luck with them. there loss my gain. It was nice doing business with them while it lasted but beware of the price.

The selection is fantastic and the staff really know the products so they can answer any questions and suggest good ideas you may not have considered.Pabbi keeps the best prices in town and hes price matched for me before. Everyone who works here is great and the service is way beyond what youd expect from a liquor store. These folks actually care about their customers.

The owner is always friendly and courteous. I especially like the sign as you first walk in asking people not to use swear words. Thats the first and only place Ive ever seen do that and I think its great.

But really the staff are wonderful and quirky, the store is clean and well lit- its probably the nicest store of any kind in the Nord and especially West Sacramento areas. Couldnt recommend more highly. They dont just call you friend when you walk in, they make you feel like a friend.

The staff at Star Liquors have known me since my mid twenties. They are exceptionally polite (which can be rare, as a woman.) They are also knowledgable about a variety of drinks, and open about finding the best intersection between quality and price.

Star liquor is the best liquor store in Chico. Pabbi and his family are extremely welcoming and friendly. They have the best service and prices and that’s why I choose to shop there. If there are any bad comments on here they are completely bogus. They are just disgruntled customers that Pabbi or his brother caught stealing or using a fake ID.

Big beer and liquor selection decent prices, great liquor store

The two gentlemen that run the store are very friendly, and willing to help out the local Chico community. I went to BevMo to get kegs for a fundraiser/concert I was having to support the Butte Environmental Council and they were extremely expensive. When they found that out, they waved the deposit and made sure that everything I needed was taken care of. That gesture made our up front budget increase a lot, allowing us to do other things for the show that were previously not available.

Every single time I am greeted by name. The prices are excellent, the selection is the best, and I just love these guys. They make you feel like family. Many local businesses can learn from them on how to greet and treat customers...we keep going back for many reasons but honestly when they call out my name and say hello when I show up; this makes me feel like they appreciate me as a person and a customer.

They will claim to price match any competitor in Chico, but will tell you its illegal for them to sell it that cheap, after ordering with their distributer and waiting a week. They will lie when called to verify price upon ordering, theyll lie when called to verify price after delivery, and theyll lie to your eye about any previous correspondence regarding price. During the last few months I have purchased 2 or 3 kegs from Star Liquor assuming their prices where legitimate. After the third time I realized they have no standard to their prices and charge what ever price they want at the register. Star liquor rips off the mildly intoxicated with their friendly attitude. For example i went into Star to buy a 30 pack of Tecate for a friends party that was advertised for 13.99 on the cooler window. Come to find the next morning i was charged 20.99 (far above CRV and sales tax). They never give you a recite so dont bother arguing with them because they want no proof they ripped you off. So all in all i will never go to Star Liquor again. For those who shop at Star, ALWAYS check your recite or question the price at the register.
