Steve did a great job on my ‘21 charger. The shop is really busy, so make an appointment. I recommend this shop.

Nice people at this family business that has been serving Chico for many decades. Never used them before. They scheduled me in quickly, and had the job done ahead of the time they said it would take. The price did turn out to be much higher than quoted. But in their defense (to a degree), I did have more work done than what was initially arranged. Overall, I will highly recommend this muffler shop. However, I would be certain to address all the work that is to potentially be done ahead of time. To avoid any sticker shock when finished.

This was my first trip to Hy-Fy. Steve is very cheerful and replaced my muffler for $200 less than a competitor. This is a great shop! Dont forget to get one of these cool T-shirts.

I went to Hyfy to have them install two pipes on my car for me. The total came out to $300 to make the two 90 degree bends needed and to weld the pipes and hangers on. I was fine with this until I got under the car to look at this far from acceptable job. You would think after all of their experience they could weld better than the garbage you see pictured, or at least finish the welds. I would never recommend them ever to anybody unless you wanted an example to show welding students what NOT to do

Brought my truck in a few years back to replace a catalytic converter and charged a very fair price and quick turn around. Recently my exhaust came apart on a very bumpy dirt road and they performed the repair free of charge! It was just a quick & simple weld so no charge. Same day turn around. They are my first stop when I have exhaust issues.

Was extremely transparent up-front about potential costs and the owner ended up getting the exhaust fixed for much less than he initially quoted. Excellent service on catalytic converter replacement on my 2000 GMC Jimmy. Next day appointment after diagnosis (I knew when it started rattling) and part ordered. In and out in hour and a half. I have been burned at other auto repair places and I totally trust Steve and his crew. Showed me the damaged cat and explained what they did. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommend!! :-)

Highly recommended. I had cat back exhaust system put in. Great work and it sounds great. Definitely not over priced, the guy that posted one star doesnt realize the pipe was at least 100 dollars and labor is around 100 or more no matter where you go. I found it was a good price for the great work he did. Super friendly. I had a great experience here. Again I highly recommend if you want beautiful work with great sound. Thank you Hy Fy!

I’ve been here twice for different cars. Always taken care of and performed the job very fast. Didn’t mind showing me what he was doing and both times asked what I wanted and made it happen. Set me up with a very fair price. Will be back whenever I need exhaust work done!

1 star is giving too much credit to this business, I would vote 0 stars. Extremely overpriced!! Ripoff!! The guy was polite and courteous though. I dont know how he can sleep at night with his conscience, unless he has none. I paid $175 for 3 feet of 2 exhaust pipe bent for a tailpipe and installed, which took 20- 30 minutes for the total job. I knew better, Its my own fault for being raped like I was. I needed the work done quickly, i didnt have time to go elsewhere. Two lessons learned here. Make time, dont give someone the permission to rape your wallet. Do not go to Hy-Fy muffler ever again.

These guys are really great. Courteous and they do really good work. I had been trying to get my exhaust pipe fixed so I could get a smog check done and other garages were turning me away. I took my car to Hy Fy and they figured it out quickly, had the pipe fixed in under an hour and for a very reasonable price. I thought it was going to cost me a lot and Id have to have the car in the shop for awhile (thats what the other mechanics in town seemed to think) but the mechanic at Hy Fy had it done quickly. I highly recommend these honest and skilled mechanics.

Having just moved to chico from out of state, its been a struggle to find a mechanic thats trustworthy and easy to deal with and now Im happy to say Ive found that at this shop. I went in to have a CARB certified catalytic converter put on my Jeep and was happy to hear that they now are a full mechanic shop as well.Ran by a father-son duo, their customer service was impeccable from the moment they picked up the phone to moment I left.

My exhaust broke where is connects to the muffler from the front and I thought Id be out a couple hundred bucks for a replacement. Took it to Hy-Fy and he told me he could add a bracket and weld it back together in 45 mins. Had my buddy take me home and came back an hour later and it was all fixed, and it only cost $45!Hes been in business for 45 years and I highly recommend this place. I will be telling my friends and family about it. Theyve earned a lifelong customer.
