I used Herlihy moving as recommended by my employer when I changed jobs. I moved, unfortunately, during a very hot real estate market in Columbus so while I was able to sell my place quickly I ran into trouble finding a new home. I hired them for full packing, move, storage for 9 months, and then move to new home. For the full packing they had a very efficient team come in and pack up all my belongings within a day. The following day they moved my items out of my condo and I was incredibly impressed with the team! My condo building has very strict rules and they are very particular about movers and how things are handled and if things are not done correctly they will fine the owner- so when they told me that these were the best movers they have ever had in the building- that is saying something! They even took their information to pass out to other owners who might be selling or moving in. Aaron and his crew took such great care of my items and when we parted I did not have an idea of when I would find a new home but Aaron told me that he would look out for my final move so he could be part of the team. A long 9 months went by and when I contacted Herlihy for a date to move my stuff into my new house- imagine my pleasant surprise to find out that Aaron kept his promise and was in charge of my move back in! He showed up ahead of schedule and his team stayed well into the evening making sure everythng was done the way I wanted. I had only one item that had minor damage (which the movers pointed out to me) and Aaron got the claim started for me right away and took photos himself. From the initial estimator who came by (kind, professional, and very quick to respond) to the packers and to the movers- I could not have been more impressed. I strongly strongly recommend these movers to everyone. If I ever move again I will be asking for Herlihy and hoping Aaron will be the head of my team again!

I got a 10x10 unit to store some things in that we were not using right now and it was the perfect size and the people were really nice.

Thrilled with the service provided by Tommy and Aaron. They were polite, efficient, and careful with the entire process from the moment they introduced themselves. Everything from the paperwork to loading was done with the utmost professionalism. My entire move (from arrival of their truck to departure of their truck) took only 3 hours, 1 hour of which was driving. All my belongings and furniture were treated with equal thoughtfulness in loading and carrying. If you are in the market for a moving service, dont hesitate to call Herilhy. It was a breeze.

This is the second time Ive used their service. The movers were nice but some of my furniture got some deep scratches.

I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with these movers. I hired them to move my 72 year old mom and her husband and they went above and beyond to help. As a matter of fact, mom and her husband ended up having more miscellaneous stuff than Herlihys had originally planned for, and without complaint, they just brought out another truck to get it all. Then, at the new house, the garage door had come off the track and was stuck open, and one of the movers fixed it for them! Most of my interactions before the actual move were with Alan, and he was always quick to respond to my questions and very helpful. I wish I knew the names of the 2 men who actually did the move, but they were careful, polite, professional gentlemen. I will recommend Herlihy moving to ANYONE in the area needed that service. I worked at Herlihy for about 5 years and honestly I can say I regret leaving. The company is amazing to work for! Joe and James and the whole Herlihy family treated me very well during my time there. The quality of work is second to none. Would gladly go back if I was needed to.

I hired Herlihy to move from Portsmouth to Columbus. I was impressed with the estimater who came out to do the quote & inventory and with the three young men who made the move. They were polite, professional, and very helpful. The movers worked so hard! It was a big move in 90 degree weather & they worked continuously and notified me when they took breaks so that I wouldnt think they were shirking. They wrapped every item of furniture in individual padded blankets and we didnt have a scratch. I wont hire anyone but Herlihy in the future. They are awesome!

You hire movers when you realize that you just dont have it in you. It is a lot of effort and work all the while your daily life does not pause. We chose Herlihy over two competitors. They were the most respectful from our initial contact. Their price was comparable to others, but their personalities were far different and more positive. On the day of the move, the guys showed up and went to work. They worked together, worked quickly, and not one time did I here a negative comment or any other show of disrespect. Most importantly, we started to question our own packing skills, though we didnt need to as not a single item was damaged. They took really good care of our stuff. Anyway, as a consumer who hardly ever writes reviews,,, please, if you are moving, please give this company a shot at making your move a successful and less stressful one. These guys are polite and professional. They dont lag around and really get the job done.

Our first long distance move weve done together and we both agree that it went very well. From the initial estimate to delivery, we were given accurate, thorough information, quick responses to questions, and hardworking, experienced movers. Nothing was broken or even scratched in the process, and we have heard that is very rare. The movers met challenges (mountain roads, muddy yard, narrow stairs, and a sectional piece that had to be brought up over the back deck) with good attitude and energy which made the day go well and the cost justified. We highly recommend this company.

I do not recommend using their storage service. They were contracted by my organization to provide storage of excess furniture and household items. The pickup was a mess. The packers/movers showed up to my house with no packing materials and even asked if I had containers. Seriously? Fortunately a manager took care of this quickly and packing materials were brought to my house with minimal delay. Fast forward to 2 1/2 years later when I moved again. A moving company picked up the things that were stored at Herlihy and delivered them to my new house, four states away. Two pieces of my furniture, one upholstered and one wood, were both covered in mold to the point I had to throw them away. Three other pieces had mold but I was able to clean them. Its clear that this place is not suitable for long-term storage!

Ive used Mayflower 3 times to move across the country and have had no problems with them. I highly recommend this moving company to anyone.

We were very happy with the whole process. We were given a fair quote, and was not hit with additional charges the day of the move. The movers were fast and very efficient. They made sure not to damage any of our property during the move. We had a very good experience through the whole process and would tell anyone to use this company.

Herlihy Moving and Storage was great to me and my wife in our move from IL to OH. In IL, we had done much packing, and they encouraged us to allow them to do all the work, and for us to just relax. There were two men, and work hard they did. The brothers work well together. In our arrival, they were there before us, and were very helpful in the placement of our belongings where we wanted them. Moving is miserable, but they helped to make it less so.

They moved my family from Ohio to Virginia and in all there were about 8 guys involved, 4 on each side. In this business your most likely always get a guy or two you aren’t fond of, the the forman however, who worked in both sides was very professional and hard working and kept the guys moving along.Was the third time they moved me so there must be a reason I keep going back. The estimator was great as well.

We hired Herlihy to move my father to a Senior living community. They were prompt, courteous, careful and finished within the expected time. And the charge was less than their estimate. We highly recommend them.

I have used Herlihy for a long haul move and a local move. Both times they have been wonderful to our family.

We have had a very bad experience with this franchise. We had them move and store all our home furnishings and then move it into our new location. We did not get all of our things and some of our furniture was badly scratched. Side rails to a queen bed are missing and they cant find them. Good China was missing. They located 5 boxes they said were ours but didnt deliver them for 6 weeks and even then sent them with the Athens, Ohio franchise. The 5 boxes I did receive had been repacked. They werent in the original boxes I had used. I still have some items missing and still no bed rails. I have yet to hear back on receiving recompense for our missing things. Steer clear of this company!!!

All I can say is a wonderful experience!

While parked at Herlihy Storage Unit on Marietta Rd my Jeep was broken into. The office manager was unconcerned and not very nice three campers were also broken into at the same time. They took the fence down on the side to build new buildings leaving everyone’s property exposed and an easy target to be broken into and damaged

Insisted I use their lock instead of my own. Returned three days later to an empty unit. Everything robbed . Claimed they had video on site. No video. Wouldnt even return rent. Another renter found all his items auctioned off even though he was not late on rent. Had to buy back his own items. No help from management

Waited for a quote on a a moving date and wanted to move on that day to find out that week they couldnt do it because they was booked then what was the point of asking to have movers on that date if they couldnt do it. I am very stressed and not happy with the conversation I had with the company. Now I have to find another mover in a short time. Very unprofessional.

This move to Chillicothe is our 23rd move over my 33 years active duty in the US Navy. I can gratefully say that Herlihy provided the best experience in all of my career. Their service is by far, the best we have ever enjoyed!
