There must be significant portion of my body mass that was constructed from food I bought here. This one has some produce items I enjoy that are hard to find elsewhere. This store is run well and the staff is excellent!

Very displeased. Our 6 month old has RSV so my husband and I thought that placing an order online would be best. They had 6 hours. They put in the receipt they were out of stock of 2 medications and drinks. So my husband went inside and guess what!? They had them! Seriously!? Our first time ever asking for the manager and they did not care about their workers lack of work. I would not recommend order pickup form chino valley as Safeway. I’ve tried it two other times and they did the same thing, marking items out of stock that they had.I would like to add the reason we are so upset is because we planned for a quick trip but instead it took TWO HOURS to get it fixed.

Love this Safeway in Chino Valley. I will go out of my way to shop at this location. The produce section is like heaven! The meat selection is outstanding. There beer isle goes for days. They even have great deli food! This store is super clean and well organized. The staff is always nice and very helpful. I give this store an A+ keep up the great work guys, your doing an amazing job!!!

Overpriced and overly busy. This Safe Way can charge whatever they want since they do not have any competition as theyre the only grocery store in Chino Valley. I go here usually as last minute groceries, typically am a Frys shopper in Prescott. 2 stars because at least the employees are friendly. Sorry your corporate overlords (Albertsons) dont give a rip about the customers or employees.

Clean, friendly and very knowledgeable customer service. The selection of quality foods was top of the line, A+. You can tell the employees there really take pride in their work and enjoy making the experience of shopping pleasant.

The only store for 15 miles or so. Clean and nice. Prices seem high on some items one example kraft mayo 30 oz jar? $5.99 for a jar.

The young lady that checked me out was AWESOME! I got there late,(10min) before closing and I forget bread! She was so sweet! She pointed to the isle where the bread was and told me to go ahead and get what I needed that she would wait.

Many products are no longer available here. Their only excuse is that they have decided to only offer the “basics” since covid started. Other grocery chains in the area are offering pre-pandemic product levels. Don’t waste your time on a store that puts no effort into fulfilling shoppers needs. Worth the drive to Prescott or Prescott Valley for groceries.

This is a Really Nice Safeway! Its always very clean and has Great, Fresh Produce! The associates are Very Helpful and Friendly! Only wish it was closer to where we live.

I just dint like Safeway. They manipulate a town and dont allow another grocery store in town. As they are the only place to buy food in Chino Valley, they raise their prices out of sight. If they hired more checkers they could sell those self checkers to Wal-Mart. Please do.

You never have what I need at your store location. The shelves are always bare or not a big enough selection. And your prices are extremely high. You need to either get a bigger store or allow another store to be built in chino valley. You guys cant keep up with growing population here in chino. Either get with it, or get out the way.

For the town of Chino valley and its continuously growing size, you would think they would be able to stock their shelves better. And this has been going on for years. Long before the covid was even an excuse. Ive lived in Chino for 38 years and this is the only grocerie store we have. (Actual grocerie store, with fresh produce. not taking about the dollar stores with near expired food.) If there was another option (in chino) for my family to shop at, wed definitely be going to them instead. Their new ad comes out on Wednesdays with sales and just-4-U specials. Not even half way through the day Wednesday theyll be sold out allot of the time. (Thank goodness for rain checks!)I definitely completely hate the fact that they close 2 hours earlier now.Most of the time their staff is very friendly and polite. Especially the one Manager they have Named Jessica. She honestly cares about role and the customers. A big THANK YOU shout out goes to her!!!!

Employees are always very helpful they walk you to the product if youre looking for something. Checkout is usually very quick and friendly. My go to place

When I need like a specialty item I usually have to drive clear to Fry’s in Prescott. I needed tahini sauce one time. They were out for over a month. When they run specials they’re usually out the first day. And why is it most of Fry’s meats better? We need another store in Chino. If it’s a holiday the lines are backed up in the middle of the isles. Come on Safeway, you can do better than that.

I love Safeway. But what is with splitting the aisles? One long aisle has become two short aisles. More cross traffic, less continuity of merchandising, and just a bit frenetic and confusing. But I do love Safeway for product variety, consistency of availability, and customer service. Also clean and spacious stores (usually). Ah, not playing monopoly this year, all digital...

I shop here because its the closest to my home. My apartment refrigerator went out and the complex said if i can show receipts for my perishable items, they would replace them. Safeway states that NONE of their stores has the ability to look up my number and give me that information. I had to call corporate and they state i have to request it in writing and can only be mailed.. Im out of food because of this DUMB policy and have 3 kids to feed.JUST KNOW YOUR PURCHASES CANT BE TRACKED IF NEEDED...

Very clean and well lit. You know, somewhere you feel comfortable to buy food. Love that they still employ people to help bag your stuff.

When I come to this store, there are never enough checkout lanes open. The self checkout (which I cant stand) has a long line and there may be one or two regular lanes open (they have about 8) There were two lanes open last night. I got in the shorter line and was told that they were closed. Frustrated to the max, Seems easier to go to Prescott rather than deal with this. This store does not seem to make serving the community a priority.

I really appreciate that the employees usually greet me on the way in and out Of the store and they are very helpful especially at the self check out machines. My only Minor issue is that sometimes they run out of Bulldog rootbeer and Sometimes it takes them A few days to restock. This however could be due to a merchant issue not the store because this rootbeer is ordered from an out of state merchant.

Really nice beautiful store yet. Check your receipt. They have no clue how to download and check their batches. Where are their scan coordinators When they download the batch for the new ad. GUESS no one checks prices. Guess what we the people out here know if you download Tuesday after midnight and Friday no changes have been made you are thiefs come on I worked for a parent company for 30 yrs . When a mistake was made with a price we corrected it. Chino Safeway not as far as Ive seen. Friends have shopped before me got wrong prices and I shop days later no change. The company I worked for fixed the price .Safeway in chino gives you a refund and moves on to the next customer never corrects the ad mistakes so read my review and check your receipt.

What makes a business is its staff. This Safeway has such a great staff. Its a small town but these people make it a community. Every clerk knows 80% of people and their needs and hobbies. Sometimes your in the check out line and the customer service people run up and tell you the product you want is on sale, just incase you didnt see, and then help you get it quickly if you didnt. Theyre always funny, kind and never hesitate to tackle an issue. Me personally, im a math freak. When I walk through the store I count my totals, add my tax and total items in my head 9000 times, sometimes even if I dont want to. When my totals off I usually know by a dollar or two margin and Im fairly accurate. This can be wildly annoying to people when you shop theyre twice a week, but everyone,, and I mean everyone there is friend about it and always seem genuinely happy to double check everything, run the ads and chitchat the entire time they do it.. nobodies ever made it feel unpleasant or like Im the hassle I know I am.. Ive worked retail haha I know what I am! On top of that my phone provider is one of like 3 that just gets no service in the store and I often have to struggle with it. The staff is so on top of this issue and they handle it for everyone that has this issue with ease. They check our app and run it smoothly so we still get our savings and can enter our pts and rebates when we get service.Its such a great staff that I have 2 people that will text me and let me know when things my dad(sugar issues) can eat

Masks and social distancing are not regulated, this is an extremely unsafe place to shop during COVID. If I could just do online orders every time I would except they have a $35 minimum to any order so if theres just a couple things you need you are stuck going in here. My mother lived in this town and shopped here. She got COVID and passed away in December. Seriously. Not safe. Unsafeway.

I enjoy finding all of the necessary items for home whether theyre last minute or planned out. Right down the road too! Always clean and always friendly.

The reason I was there most recently was for my daughters birthday cake. It turned out great my family loved it and above all my daughter loved most of all. The bakers were also friendly and helpful.

The inventory and stock is marginal at times, but I do take in, the store is not large. That the community is not just chino valley, but most of the hwy 89 north of store too. Im single and for the most part it work out for me.

Safeway is a good grocery store it has everything anyone needs you can also get them for cheaper than the already are by using the Safeway app and entering rewards program. This is the best grocery store in town that has everything

Shopping at Safeway, now I have points my gas will only be $2.03 a gallon. Using my just for you shopped 3 times to get a dollar off per gallon

Its fairly well-stocked and well-staffed, and it has a pretty nice selection of produce and vegan and vegetarian foods for a small town grocery store. On the negative side, it is so expensive, there have been times that I couldnt afford to buy normal staples in this store. Just about everything here is at least twice as expensive as it would be in a place where there is a selection of grocery stores, and sometimes its three or four times as much. Im not sure of the details, but I understand that Safeway has some kind of an agreement with Chino Valley that makes it more difficult or less attractive for a competitor to come here. Whatever the reason, I know that at least some residents have been trying to get another grocery store in Chino Valley since 1989, when I first moved here, yet we are all still dependent on the Safeway monopoly. Maybe someday well succeed?

I ordered sonic lookin cupcakes for my kids 4 birthday and they gave me a joke of a decoration and then said thats the best they could do like i could have done a better job at home....

Safeway is ok except they are always out of stock on things I need. Considering they are the only grocery store in Chino Valley they do pretty well though..

Prices are terrible here. Talk about robbing the retired community. They should have brought Walmart in so people are not getting charged double. The store is clean though, but the half aisles are a disaster to the layout.

Its the only grocery store we have here in town. Unless I want to drive 40 miles round trip. The selection mediocre at best. Frys foods is the go to store, everything at Frys is fresh the store is clean and their selection is awesome, and well stocked.I was generous giving 2 stars!

Im impressed with the way employees work hard to keep themselves and their customers safe. This store has made a real effort to keep shelves stocked and aisles clear and clean.Its a shame that although there are clear signs on the doors that say Masks Required, a good half the people who walked thru the doors were not masked. For me, unfortunately, that means I cant take the time to shop...I need to walk in, pick up the few items on my list and get out, for my safety. Thank you, Safeway, for trying.

The chino valley store has a bad reputation for high prices as compared to other markets. Living here for 3 1/2 years we found the prices higher and the attitude poor. It stays in business because its the only place in town.This month we spent less than $60.00 as compared to $235.00 at Walmarts. We spent an additional $23.00 dollars in Frys. They appear to overcharge on phone/pickup orders as indicated on the Neighbors web site.

Now that they lifted The Mask restriction it was good

I love this store! Its so clean. The people who work and shop here are so nice. Ive never had a bad experience at this store. Some of the prices are a little high but id rather pay the price than drive 13-20 miles for a discount thats really the same price, figuring in the gas,time & no convince as the price here. Wonderful place to shop.
