Aside from the quality of the meat. The young men at the counter great you with so much respect and an eagerness to educate you on the cuts of youre unsure. And they explain it like gentlemen and with such patience and .ake you feel like youre their best customer. You cant put a price on service like that. Thank you all. From walk in to check out. The worst $15 per lb I have ever spent for flap meat (carne asada) definitely don’t go there for this. The meat looks old and probably from an old cow as well. The cuts are the worst. Hire someone that knows how to do flap meat cuts if you’re going to be selling it for $15 a lb. Or don’t sell it at all. Bad look for you.

First time back in many years. Quality and service as good as the last time I was there. Treated like your best friend is holding the best cut for you. Ill be back soon!

I was in the area one day thought I’d check this place out, now I come here at least 3 times a month and that’s just because I don’t live close by I recommend you try their Delicious TriTip Lunch Special. DELICIOUS!.

My best friend introduced me to Hottingers when moved into Chino (2005), been going ever since, I like that they are family own and everyone is nice, friendly and helpful. Added good price... You can get quality meats for good prices

Love this place. Step back in time when customer service was first on the list.Family owned. Hand cut meats. To order if you like. A full service deli.Make sure you grab a marinated tri-tip.Its great with multiple flavors available. We prefer the Garlic and Wine marinade, but they are all great.

Nice people and quality meat

Good old fashioned true butcher shop that is family owned and run. Quality meats at similar/comparable pricing as the pre-packaged options at your local grocery stores. They make many of the various sausages and similar products themselves. They also have multiple marinades they use on the meats and then package daily. They also have a full deli selection and even offer a sandwich deal if you are in the area and want a meal. The accept cash, debit, credit and SNAP but do not accept EBT.

They had a great selection of meats to choose from and I look forward to my next visit.

Great butcher shop, not much to look at but it has a great selection of fresh meats and at a reasonable price too. Definitely worth a visit if youre looking to host a bbq or have a steak dinner. Their tri-tip is especially good, particularly the wine & garlic, its my and my wifes favorite.

Drove 2hrs to buy a brisket and end up getting some sausage delicious tri-tip, am seasonings. This place is amazing. Fresh meats, great cuts.

The lines are long but the food is worth the wait. On the regular basis my family and I are there to order the sandwich combo. Hottingers meat better then at any Market. Love the lamb kebab and beef kabob. Potato salad is also excellent. Hottingers not known for seafood but they do have a small selection. Please note during the weekends holiday the wait time and lines are double. I always recommend hottingers to everyone. Your one stop shop for your barbecue meat needs, Chill on a Sunday afternoon. 🍖🔥

Hottingers meats are great, but today I dealt with an employee with an attitude. He spoke with a low voice and I could not hear him at all, and when I said excuse me what did you say ? he decided that it was appropriate to use an annoyed medium tone voice and say what do you want ? 2,3,or 5 lbs ? I said 3 lbs is fine and thank you. He then proceeded to raise his voice more and say your welcome followed by slamming the meat on the prep table followed by taking the meat and then slamming it on the counter by the register . Not that best customer service but their quality of meats are top notch and their other staff are always great . Maybe he had a bad day and that’s alright but I will still be coming back for more meats lol

Always the best. We love the Jalapeño Cheddar Brats and Santa Maria tri tip from Hottingers. We actually have never had a bad thing from here. Been coming here for many years and I drive an hour to stock up because they are that great!

If you are looking for great, quality meat this is the place to go. Family place that has been around for years. Everyone behind the counter is extremely knowledgeable when asked questions. I have asked on many occasions regarding grilling and smoking instructions. Always friendly and eager to offer advice and suggestions.

While this business is a hour away or so from where we live you just cant beat the quality and competitive prices. The meat is lean, they have a huge selection of cuts and various sausage options not to mention the poultry. I have to say Saturdays are busy but the are so organized we were in and out with our large order in no time. All of the staff wore masks. I cant tell how great this business is and suggest you check it out for yourself. Their web page lists the specials so you can plan ahead for your visit.

Great variety and selection of meats. Some frozen game meats and bison. You can buy large quantities of meat. 🍖 or just a couple steaks. The only difference from Hottingers and stater bros. Is the game meat and a wider selection of sausages.

Had everything I was looking for

There stuff is always fresh which is good but, today my wife went into buy pork ribs. She asked for the un trimmed ribs. One of the workers sold her a pre packaged ST. LOUIS style cut anyway and marinated. So not only did he take advantage but he sold her something he knew she didnt want. I will be returning there tomorrow to return the meat. Its there fault not mine. If you dont have it. Say you dont have it. Dont take advantage of people

Have had my last 15 or so yard pigs cut and wrapped here. If you grow your own pork, beef, goat etc. this is the place to have you or your killer bring the animal for processing. Ben uses the wood smoke method and its worth the wait. More delicious than chemical smoke

I go about every 2 weeks. Dont buy any meat from grocery stores. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. If you dont see what you want ask, they have a lot in the back. Good cooking advice for all types of meats just ask. Very friendly.
