Just forget about it! They quote you a price in person and when you come back its 20% difference??? To make things worst they gave a wrong appraisal for an 18k gold as 10k gold verified through another store. So PLEAsE do your homework and check at least two different stores when doing business (at least with them)

Dont waste your time . They use pennyweight on their scale. But it is legal to use pennyweight in California. They make you think you are selling your gold at $22 a gram but in $12 pennyweight. I suggest you weight your jewelry before going there.
