I have used Fastenal for many years, for many different things. Including all my needs for medium quantities of bolts, hand tools, and consumables. I also had been using them for shipping crates across the country from one Fastenal to another. Today I called to find out the availability of some bolts, and I was told Im sorry, but if you dont have an account we cant help you. THAT DOESNT SOUND LIKE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE TO ME so I will be going elsewhere from now on, including using someone else for my shipping needs. Sad to see a business turning away long time customers when other businesses are struggling to find new customers and just stay in business. Hope this new business model works out for them, but for me, I will buy my items elsewhere, and will definitely let others know of my experience. Good luck.
I work for a Creative Bus Down the street from these guys, They ALWAYS take the time to help me out and find what i need. If they dont have it they try to get it for me same or next day.
