Picking out a mattress is a hard task and I learned the hard way the cheaper online bed in a box type matress were convenient but was a disappointment when it came to comfort and your individual needs. I had a great experience with Wanda today while going into the store and physically testing the beds. She talked about pros and cons of the different beds and was informative, she seemed to care about my needs in a bed rather than trying to upsale me into something more costly and I really appreciated it! Myself and my wife went by Mattress Warehouse on 1/23/21 to inquire about a mattress purchase for our home. Ms Wanda the store manager was the customer service person who assisted me and my wife.I called prior the day before, because i had a few questions to ask. Our initial conversation was pleasant. On Saturday when we got to the store, we were met by her coworker and then Ms Wanda. Again i must state her conversation and demeanor was just as pleasant as on the phone. We explained what we were looking for in a mattress and we needed help in finding a happy medium for myself and my wife.No pressure in the conversation and more importantly she listened, no sales pitch, no rush,just an open ear and mind. That every customer is different and has different sleeping patterns and needs.Overall we were there about 2 1/2 to 3 hours by choice. We needed to find the right mattress. Ultimately the mattress and the price of it was decided by us.We as people will spend hundreds on a television or furniture or appliances and so forth. But will go cheaply on a bed. Yes myself included,but as i have gotten older and gained humbly a little more wisdom and insight.I now grasp how little sleep we truly get and the importance of that sleep, truly at any age. But even more importantly as we get older.Ms Wanda, helped me and my wife find the mattress that was best for us and our situation.Again,no sales pitch, just a honest and open conversation. This will be our second purchase and delivery from Mattress Warehouse of Christiansburg. As always Ms Wanda took care of us on both occasions. Simply put Ms Wanda was helpful and professional on both of our purchases, no sales pressure no rush, no issues.However that was before todays delivery, what should have been a stress free delivery, turned into a minor almost major headache.The delivery driver named Joe was rude to my husband and had a bad attitude. Now as for the delivery helper named Lamont, he was professional and helpful from start to finish.But the fact that my husband had to call the warehouse and tell them that, the driver is never again welcomed at our home for a delivery says alot.My husband had no issues with the driver helper Lamont, who ended up delivering everything inside and setting it up. For at this point my husband told the driver Joe in essence he had a bad attitude and needs to find another line of work.He told me he had to speak to a grown up man like he was a child, for thats how the delivery driver Joe acted.Again store purchase with Ms Wanda was a five. Yesterday, 5/28/2019 I purchased an adjustable bed for my mother. I have adjustable beds at my home. Due to my moms health issues I wanted to purchase one for her. The Sales Associate that I worked with, Wanda, was very knowledgeable, patient, kind, courteous and very receptive to my needs and what I was looking for. She was not pushy, nor did she try to sell my husband and I the most expensive, more importantly, she listened to me when I went in the store (store A) and showed us various options and explained very detailed the differences in our options so that we could make an informed decision. I was totally surprised that the bed would be delivered today (the very next day). The entire experience was very relaxed, no hassle, overall great experience. I would strongly encourage making a purchase from Mattress Warehouse. Again, thank you Wanda for a wonderful experience making our purchase.

My Girlfriend and I both had come here to get a mattress and the service here was wonderful. They showed us many options, listened when we said we werent interested in a product, and eventually sold us a pretty good mattress that we were really happy with.The delivery though had an error, which was swiftly fixed by the people working there. The delivery fee was completely refunded and while we had to wait a few extra days, its nothing that detrimental. Overall I am quite happy with their service and the Mattress that we purchased.

I went in to look at a cheaper pillow top. I spoke with John C for a good couple hours and decided to step up and get a nicer mattress. Sadly I did not buy from them this time. But, I have in the past and everything went really smoothly and I enjoyed the mattress.John C, was VERY VERY knowledgeable. He knew brands and what brands were related to each other. He knew how each bed was made and how soft or firm it was compared to the one on the other-side of the showroom. Each bed he told me that it would be softer or firmer than the other one, even between brands and he was spot on. This guy is going places and the store should be proud to call him their employee. I will recommend him with anyone that asks about buying a new mattress, hands down.

Absolutely wonderful experience!! Wanda Meador was absolutely fantastic and very knowledgeable.If I could give negative stars I would!Edited: This has turned into an absolute nightmare!! The tags were switched in the store on the beds and we received a cheaper bed that was nowhere near what we had requested in store. We have now been dealing with trying to get the right mattress for 3 weeks now and had let them know within ~ 4 days that it was the wrong mattress. We now will hopefully receive the right mattress next week after having the wrong one for almost 4-5 weeks of being in pain every night.

After using the bed match technology she helped us test all the beds and never steered us to only expensive ones.she educated us and knew the market place and her competitors well enough that when it came time for the price she was able to cut the price on the base and give us free delivery as well as free pillows . John, the store manager, was super nice and helpful. He doesnt bombard the customer with questions or suggestions but is available for you when you are ready to ask him questions or are ready to purchase something. I hate when sales associates stay on top of you the whole time that you shop and since it was my first mattress that I bought I wanted time alone to make a good decision and not be rushed. John was super cool and I didnt feel rushed while making such a large purchase.

At this point, I am so frustrated that I call the company and tell them I want my money back. They tell me they will notify the local store to issue a refund to my debit card. It didnt appear, so I called the store myself. The lady said she hadnt been notified. She offers me a $100 credit and assures me my mattress will be delivered today. Just got a call. Surprise!! My mattress didnt arrive on the truck. So they tell me I can wait until NEXT Wednesday, or they will issue a refund for my original purchase price, but it will take several days to process. So I will have to start this whole ordeal again somewhere else once my fourteen hundred bucks hits??!! This has been a horrible experience!I purchased a mattress and box spring almost 2 weeks ago from the Christiansburg location, and set it up for delivery. The sale went fine - not excellent; not bad; just average. However, they dont call you until 9pm to set up delivery for the very next day. I cant miss work with that short of notice. Ive asked to have an evening delivery, but apparently thats not an option. The first time I had to reschedule, I spoke with a representative named Holly. She was very rude and condescending, so I spoke with her supervisor. He was very nice and understanding. Im now still trying to get the mattress delivered, but it looks like it will be at least more weeks. The representative that I most recently spoke with, Chad, was super polite and understanding. He even agreed to try to get a delivery sooner due to the hassle Ive experienced. Hopefully I will get my mattress soon.

My husband and I walked into several different stores ready to purchase and she was the only person to actually take the time to ask us what we were looking for and try to help us solve some problems we had with our current mattress. We recently purchased a couple of mattresses from this location. Wanda, the sales lady we dealt with, was truly a delight. She was very informative, polite, and helpful. She was also very accommodating to our two year old son, who obviously thought a mattress store was some sort of playground, lol. Next time we are in the market, we would definitely love to work with her again!

Wanda was an absolute joy. She really worked with us on the different mattresses. My husband and I also laid on the bed-match system. John helped my husband too. Wanda allowed us to lay on different mattresses and gave us different options. Never once were we pressured to buy anything. We ended up buying a full set for our daughter and a new king size with adjustable base. I cannot wait to get them. Great customer service. Definitely recommend to friends.

Wanda Meador is the Best Store Manager and service person ever! I purchased a mattress for my daughter two years ago over the phone and she assisted me at that time. Last week I had to move the mattress back to NJ so my son can use it. I had no plastic wrap for it and feared it would get ruined in the rain that was in the forecast for my drive. I took a chance and stopped by the store and Wanda went above and beyond to assist me. Not only did she find some plastic wrap for the mattress she helped me load it into my truck despite having a hand injury. I am forever grateful for her assistance and will recommend anyone and everyone shop at her store.

I was shopping for a really firm king-size mattress, went to three different stores in Christiansburg multiple times and after considering quality & price, decided to buy from Mattress Warehouse. What I cared about most was getting the most firm mattress around and I know I got a very fair price for a quality product. Wanda was who I worked with and Ill hop on the Wanda bandwagon here and say she was great, good attention to detail!
